We made some design improvements in the previous version to prevent water leakage. But the problem of water leakage has not been really solved. Our tent designer has unshirkable responsibility for this. Therefore, we suspended product sales and made improvements again. We will adopt a new design of vent cover cloth and adopt waterproof zipper to better solve this problem. Our new design will be tested soon. Thank you for your video.
Luke, your honesty and openness to your viewers and also to Pomoly is so refreshing. Your channel speaks to huge integrity which is what makes it so good. Thank you.
Do not own this tent, but this is the reason I watch this channel. Luke goes above and beyond for all us outdoor adventurist, I have bought items he has reviewed and recommended and have never been disappointed. Keep up the good work Luke.
Be cautious with this approach as a lot of companies do the bare minimum, knowing damn well their products are sh*t and only fix those problems WHEN someone complains. If no one complained, they'd still sell sh*t!
Speckman told them over 3 months ago there are issues but it didn't get addressed until Luke did a test. Luke has a larger following so therefore Pomoly was bombarded with customers and consumers alike. Basically their hand had to be forced otherwise this issue would continue as long as that tent is in production. If they had jumped on this issue and tackled it from the first complaint or after a few complaints of the same issue, I would understand and trust them more as a company. They got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and they know it so it was either fix it or face some major backlash.
Just wanted to let you know I love your channel.. anytime I'm considering gear I try and find an honest review on it done by you.. thanks and keep up the excellent work. You are definitely more straight forward than our government and news.
Honesty is ALWAYS the best way to go. Your work is wonderful. Well done 👍🏼 Respect to Pomoly for A) taking their tents off the market, and B) For trying really hard to make a far better product. 10 out of 10 for that.👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks again Luke for your reviews. That's great to get them to change the return policy. Love the videos keep em coming bud. Hope the family's doing great 👍. Stay safe and be well. Strength and Honor...
I bought this tent, and after watching this video, I bought a tent seam sealer (I know, not ideal for a new tent) I took it out, in -15°C with a decent snow fall, had a collapsible wood stove, and it worked out great. An option for those who really like the lay out design of this tent
Great episode. Way to expose a broken product and help apply pressure the company into doing the right thing. Here's a brainstorm for future testing of any type tent that leaks: If you wanted to quantify the amount of leakage, use a turkey baster or similar kitchen type syringe to "suck up" the water inside a tent. Expel into a measuring cup. That would be a good visual - the puddles are good, putting numbers to the puddles is, IMO, better. Keep up the great work and channel TOGR.
Great video. You're right when there's more than one person having a problem with a product the company should listen and Pomoly listening is a good thing that's what a company who cares about they're product and customers should do. If they keep up that service and warranty with all they're products they may grow more customers. Thank you for keeping us UA-camrs informed. Keep up the great videos.
There have only been a handful of times when you havent paid for a product out of pocket and a couple of those were a friend or viewer not the company bought a product and sent it to you to request a review so I am well aware there is no bias in your reviews and I do value your opinion and the lengths you go through to keep your integrity intact and beyond reproach and the reason you do so is to assure that when you make a review or opinion it can be counted on to be true as far as you are aware because as you have said if some of these products fail lives are at stake not just some discomfort but life and death.thanks for your effort on our behalf....
The only UA-cam channels who are upset are the same shills and merch grifters who take sponsorship money (somewhat opaquely I might add) to give favourable “unbiased” 🤣 reviews on a wide range of products. You can spot them a mile away as the same brands appear with precise regularity across the same few channels and usually have a monthly GAW or a discount for some obscure holiday sale. This is the reason so many of us watch your channel, objectivity, independent and agenda free. It’s led me to some solid purchases that I have confidence in whilst knowing the limitations and for that I will remain a loyal subscriber. Thanks for all that you do Luke. (Note: I’m not saying people should not get sponsors, it’s expensive to run a channel but be honest, be objective as peoples safety might depend on it and above all be transparent)
Thank you Luke for all you do in keeping outdoor gear company’s honest. Great job Luke! 👍 Earning trust back from a customer is a hard sell so I hope your next review of the version 3 goes well. To bad, I really liked this tent. Dollars don’t go very far these days so thank you Luke for looking out for us. Strength and honor 🇺🇸
I'm a lot older than you & I was raised the same way. You Sir being young & an honest straightforward guy gives me a little hope in your generation. Wish there were more like you. Us Baby Boomers appreciate it, trust me.
Polmoly has stepped up and done the right thing. This is a really cool tent and I hope a new and improved version gets back on the market!! As always, thanks for your excellent, unbiased review.
Glad to see I am not the only one who had issues with this tent and that Pomoly is addressing the issue. I have however had a great experience with their customer service being very kind and quick to respond.
What a difference an honest reviewer can make on a product and the manufacturers response . There are far too many people giving fantastic reviews on products that fail in real life and I question the legitimacy of their reviews . Keep up the good work Luke because you are the consumer reports of outdoor gear .
Well said Luke good job. It's proof that persistence gets things done as a collective group change can happen. You deserve a big pat on the back for honesty and effort in this matter. Stay safe brother.
Luke, Thanks for the update. I was going to drop some major coin on either their Hex Plus or Manta tent. However, I watched your fail review of their, Pomoly's, hot hut 70 tent. When you mentioned the warranty issues, I instantly went to their website and was amazed at how one-sided it was against the consumer. I personally sent them an email in regards to this. Number 5 of ETC, was profoundly disturbing. This caused me to pause my purchase and was swaying my decision to the OneTigris Northgaze TC tent. So, thank you Like for your honest reviews of these outdoor products. I always look to see if you have done a review on something I am thinking of purchasing. So, I did receive an email from Pomoly in regards to mine in terms of the warranty. They reassured me that they would do the best they could do and that my email has been forwarded to their department that deals with their policies. Great job Luke. I will probably pull the trigger and purchase the Manta from them. Only because changes are being made. Other than that I would of gone with the OneTigris Northgaze TC.
From: Joe Herndon, Luke, you should mention that you have positive reviews on other Pomoly products and therefore you have an objective point of view. I recently purchased the Pomoly Hussar Plus Hot Tent based on your review. Honesty and integrity cannot be disputed. Keep up the great work!
Luke I appreciate your videos, without you doing the testing on products, I the consumer might buy the product without knowing the quantities of it, thanks for doing the testing and research on different products! Strength and Honor to you
Thanks Luke, I appreciate that you do not pull punches in your reviews. It is great that Pomoly is rethinking their warranty. I don't own one of their tents, but have been thinking about acquiring a hot tent and they were at the top of my list. The StoveHut 70 is a great tent in theory as it could also be used as a lean-to with a campfire in front on less chilly nights. Kind of like the old Whelen Lean-to tent. In any case I hope they get the problem fixed as this looks to be a really cool tent.
Thank you Luke you have never said anything negative about a company just giving you true reviews on products in this world we can’t make everyone happy but I also make me wonder how these unhappy people are looking at things …. I think it’s great that the company is stepping up to the plate and making things right for customers thank you again Luke …. Strength and Honor 🌈🌈🌈🌈🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️
Kudos to the company for swallowing their pride and fix some very broken products. Awesome job to you and the others who pushed back to get this corrected! Can't wait to see what happens next!
Well there ya go......strength in numbers ! Some strategic arm twisting goes a long way - Good results for the purchaser and wise decision from the manufacturer.
I am glad they came around. Makes sense really. I like this tent design and I will purchase one of the new versions. Right after you test it again and not before.
Luke👍👍 Obviously communication hit home and the result was for the better. The warranty/return policy is just common sense, the change was badly needed. Marketing products without "thorough" testing is a disaster waiting to happen, especially outdoor gear designed to protect consumers. Thanks for the update, always appreciate your diligence.
Number one reason I’m subscribed to the channel. You call it like it is. It’s easier to do that when your not sponsored by the companies you are reviewing. The way it should be.
Perfect example of what this channel is about. An actual real life test and honest review from someone with experience on the topic and isn't getting paid. And the company taking constructive criticism which results in a better product. Exactly how it should be. Whenever I'm looking at a new piece of gear I always come here to see if Luke has reviewed it first. Here's to your Strength an Honor my friend.
It’s a little crazy how much sway you have in the outdoor gear community. Within days of a glowing review a piece of gear will be sold out. Keep up the good work. People trust the whole agenda free angle. I’m sure there’s been some great offers sent your way…. Keep fighting the good fight my man. Strength and honor to you sir.
Oh yea because HE single handedly swayed pomoly to change their refund policies and fix a product that other people complained about also…..He alone, he’s that big, he carries that much weight …, 😂
@@Bill_tyler Pomoly didn’t make the changes on this channels review alone I know that. I’m just surprised how much one individuals tests and opinions seem to influence sales and policies with a lot of retailers. No “team”, no lab facilities, just a guy setting up camping gear in the middle of the woods calling out companies that cut corners and praising the ones that don’t. I was just trying to call attention to the fact no one has bought him yet and letting him know people do actually appreciate it.
Excellent. Now, please don't be swayed to DELETE your older video of the failure - just link this update to the older. But keep it online because this was a great example of ethics and morals. You sir are outstanding in both. Pomoly is working to improve theirs, which is awesome. Good job Luke and community!
A note to Pomoly I've been looking for a hot tent and this one looked like a strong possibility. I watch this channel and take stock in Luke's reviews, if you get the problems resolved your fixes will not be in vain. You're more than likely going to get a lot more sales and happy campers!
We will adopt a new design of vent cover cloth and adopt waterproof zipper to better solve this problem. Our new design will be tested soon. Thank you.
It took a bit for them to come around…. But I think it’s good to see a company fix its issues and I hope correct the problems with there tent. All and all it’s great to see!
I have been and avid outdoorsman my whole life and I have never even looked into the Polmoly brand, but of they are willing to actually listen to their customers. I will definitely be interested in looking into them on my next purchase.
You are the best. We noticed a couple of "professional" channels tried to make you look bad with insulting and accusatory remarks. However they failed and you came out on top. TOGR will be rewarded- more subscribers!!!
TWO THUMBS UP, Luke. This video & the tent review video I'm sure increases your "credibility" amongst the youtube community. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada
This is a win for everyone, Pomoly will get some new exposure to see their tent (I had never heard of them), corrected tents will hit the market and we campers have more gear choices for various budgets.
I think they are starting to listen and I hope that they fix it. I'm glad that you are doing honest reviews and researching the products and giving honest feedback to your viewers
I like that you are addressing this problem. I purchased a rhombus tarp from them a few years ago. It was so shoddy. The tie out points were off-center and there were lots of loose stitching. I tried to return it for a refund. They said it could be done if I paid for the return to China. Since the tarp was so heavy, it would have cost me nearly half the original cost of the tarp to send it back. Their customer service was less that helpful and barely responsive. I left a review of the situation on their website under product reviews, complete with photos. It was a one-star review. It was taken down almost immediately. I tried to post it again and again it was taken down. Currently, that product has a only 6-star reviews. Of course, I'm not an influential gear review UA-camr, so it is refreshing that you had some sway and maybe this company will continue to get its act together and stop ripping off people.
I'm glad you called them out. I'd would be extremely mad if I wasted my money on a POS product. And i love the design of the stovehut 70. Keep up the good work on the reviews. I trust your opinion more than somebody that is promoting pomoly products in every video.
I love the stovehut .it has such promise as a design.I wanted to buy it immediately and instead I waited.still waiting for one that works! Thanks outdoor gear review!
I will purchase the gen 3 version if and when they decide to fix the problems and sell a well tested product. I love the design of this tent, so I hope they fix the problems so I can purchase it. Thank you Luke! You are the man , always looking out for your viewers and we appreciate you. I live in the upper peninsula of Michigan and getting wet in the weather conditions we have here, a tent like that would mean certain death or close to it. Our weather changes very rapidly and being outdoors we are always prepared for the worst and that includes our shelters. Many of us use tents while deer hunting and that tent would be a casket.
They could throw in a leaflet with some instructions for newbies. Have no idea what is up or what is down with this tent that I’ve just purchased. Thanks Luke! Great video
I want to tank you, Luke for getting the ball rolling in the right direction with this matter. This channel is one of the best out there for no BS and telling things the way they are. Thank you!
I subscribed to your channel a few months ago and have been watching a lot of your past videos, as well as every new video that you post. I have to say, I’m impressed with this channel and Luke, as not only an excellent gear reviewer, but as an honest person as well. It got me thinking, in light of the condition we currently find the world, specifically the government of the United States, we should start a campaign called ‘Luke for President’. How awesome would it be to have an honest, genuine, good person as the president of this country. I honestly think Luke would not only greatly improve things for this country, but be able to unite this great divide we are currently experiencing among the citizens of this country. Luke would definitely have my vote in 2024.
I just want to thank you and Susie for everything you do and all your hard work. I was going to buy this tent and have been watching videos on it for awhile from another UA-camr who was obviously promoting pomoly. He made a video mentioning you that I took offense to and unsubscribed to his channel. I don’t have a lot of money so I rely on videos like yours to give honest reviews. I’ve watched you for years and this is just another example of why I trust your word. THANK YOU
We tested the tent before the last release. But our testers seem to have come to the wrong conclusion that there will be no water leakage. This time we will improve the test method. We hope everything goes well. Thank you for your feedback.
I'm just glad Pomoly is doing the right thing now. I really like the design of that tent and I hope they come out with something that is similar but truly water proof, if so, it's gonna sell like hot cakes.
We will adopt a new design of vent cover cloth and adopt waterproof zipper to better solve this problem. Our new design will be tested soon. Thank you.
It was fun getting involved by giving the company a piece of my mind regarding their initial response. Seeing that they have changed their attitude and policies makes us consumers feel like we matter and not just for our money. Hopefully this teaches all companies to be more careful with QC and customer support.
No doubt there were content errors in your last Pomoly video. So much so it caused the comments to explode. I think you did a decent job in this video clarifying the image of the company and explaining a more accurate picture of Pomoly. That the company was not a "scam" or "reckless" as stated in prior video.
I feel I was too hard on them on the social media posts. I went in on them countless times and I took it to far. I came across as a jerk. Not gonna lie, I was triggered by them claiming your post wasn't 100% honest. Appears they're doing the right thing here. And I'm glad to hear it.
Thanks for the update. Nice to see they finally pulled the tent and made changes to their return and warranty policy. Lonewolf902 of course lied when he said it was pulled weeks ago. And of course calling you a coward was uncalled for. He’s just jealous of your honesty and integrity. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.
Lonewolf 902 is a poor ambassador for Pomoly if he’s acting that way. I DM’d him on Instagram asking about the hammock hot tarp and got no reply. I won’t trust his reviews from now on.
Did he say this on a yt video or on social media? I haven't seen it or heard it from LW902 but I don't watch all his videos either, just a few here and there.
It's very important what you did here, and helped many customers not to throw away their money and put their life to risk. You should do something similar with what's happening with Luxe Hiking Gear and their absolute absence of customer service and no info whatsoever on what you already paid for and that it's not showing up (there's a lot of topics on reddit, yelp and facebook groups)
We made some design improvements in the previous version to prevent water leakage. But the problem of water leakage has not been really solved. @xargs00 Thank you very much for your support.
Respect
It will be an uphill hike to convince people that you simply won't do the same thing again- releasing a product known to be defective.
I'll be buying the improved and updated version ....Great channel Sir ..thanks to you and pomoly for now putting their customers first
I'd test it myself if I was a tent manufacturer
Luke, your honesty and openness to your viewers and also to Pomoly is so refreshing. Your channel speaks to huge integrity which is what makes it so good. Thank you.

I have been and avid outdoorsman my whole life and I have never even looked into the Polmoly brand, but of they are willing to actually listen to their customers. I will definitely be interested in looking into them on my next purchase.
Exactly why I have the utmost respect for you and your channel, keep on keeping on
This is why I watch. Thank You good Sir.
Luke, you’re a good man! Thank you!
Thanks for keeping us informed Luke.
'Feet possibly walking out of the door' is always a great Motivator for a Company to change it's Business Ethics.
I'm glad you called them out. I'd would be extremely mad if I wasted my money on a POS product. And i love the design of the stovehut 70. Keep up the good work on the reviews. I trust your opinion more than somebody that is promoting pomoly products in every video.
Luke, great job on protecting us outdoors people from purchasing products that are not up to par. Keep up the good work.
They could throw in a leaflet with some instructions for newbies. Have no idea what is up or what is down with this tent that I’ve just purchased. Thanks Luke! Great video
Good on ya, and Thanks. I hope they fix and re-release this tent or one like it. I'm very interested in something like it.
Great news in my opinion! Such a shift does mean a lot for us customers, and surely shows a will to improve from the company.
Good job, Luke! Well done on the negotiations.
Thanks Luke, keep spreading the honestly and safyty.
Keep up the good work like your honest reviews. You are doing good for the camping community.
I want to tank you, Luke for getting the ball rolling in the right direction with this matter. This channel is one of the best out there for no BS and telling things the way they are. Thank you!
Thanks for the update, I hope they get the problems sorted and release the tent again, although I'll wait for your review until a possible purchase :)
THANK YOU
I'm going to go out on a limb and say Pomoly might test their new product before releasing it this time.
We tested the tent before the last release. But our testers seem to have come to the wrong conclusion that there will be no water leakage. This time we will improve the test method. We hope everything goes well. Thank you for your feedback.
@@POMOLY you need better testers. Send me a bad one. I’ll find where it’s defective easily.

Thank you.
Thank for what do with The Outdoor Gear Review it truly does help when looking to get new gear!
That’s good to hear. I like the design of that tent.
Absolutely BEST gear review channel
Awesome well done! U make them honest! Love this channel!
I like you, thanks for always keeping it real.
It was fun getting involved by giving the company a piece of my mind regarding their initial response. Seeing that they have changed their attitude and policies makes us consumers feel like we matter and not just for our money. Hopefully this teaches all companies to be more careful with QC and customer support.
Thanks for all your hard work.
Bought mine 2 months ago, still waiting for it. I'm hoping when it eventually arrives, it's perfect!
Thank you for what you do.
Luke, you did a great job coaching the Rams last night.
No doubt there were content errors in your last Pomoly video. So much so it caused the comments to explode. I think you did a decent job in this video clarifying the image of the company and explaining a more accurate picture of Pomoly. That the company was not a "scam" or "reckless" as stated in prior video.
Great job Luke! Keep it up! 👏👏👏
Thanks Luke 👊Strength and Honor my friend 🇺🇲👍
Only name I trust any more in gear reviews. Keeping it as real as it gets!
I feel I was too hard on them on the social media posts. I went in on them countless times and I took it to far. I came across as a jerk. Not gonna lie, I was triggered by them claiming your post wasn't 100% honest. Appears they're doing the right thing here. And I'm glad to hear it.
A youtuber called English woodsman tried out his tent after seeing your review. His leaked also. However not in the same area as yours did.
Lone wolf is in bed with Pomoly, I used to sub his channel no longer, he has no credibility
Did he say this on a yt video or on social media? I haven't seen it or heard it from LW902 but I don't watch all his videos either, just a few here and there.
@@toddk1377 He said the tent was pulled weeks ago in his “channel update” video this week and in the comments the name calling.
POMOLY deserves your professional constructive criticism. Thanks
I so agree with you. I purchased a stove from them, and went through hell. I've never experienced anything like it. Never again.
Thanks for speaking up like u do.
It's fortunate that we have someone who can light a fire under a manufacturer's butt. It's unfortunate we need that.
I hope they are fixing the product, I want to buy one or two it's a great little tent.when I don't want to bring my canvas tent out.
