Thanks, Jp! Another entertaining video. I own the 100-400 but I don't use it much. When I do make a video with it they always do well. I like to carry it in my landscape photography bag because it's so small and light. I carry the 14-35 and 24-105 f/4 and this budget 100-400 for times when I want to make a telephoto landscape shot. It works great and is very light. Have a great weekend.

It's good to be reminded of just how well suited Canon's budget gear is for birds and wildlife. Mind you, the difference between the RF 100-400 and the RF 100-500 was hard to unsee, once I borrowed both for a side-by-side comparison. Thanks for weighing in.
Thank YOU. I do prefer the 100-500 but for some that just want to get out, the price may be a stretch - either and both are fantastic. I really wanted to shoot this to see what it could do and was so blown away. Not prefect but for the price..... wow!! 🙏🤗💖
I may get that setup for my son. I think he is ready and I think it would work better for him than my old Canon M6 MKII.
Don't be too hasty with that M6 II. I used mine with the Tamron 100-400 Di VC for birds and wildlife. I don't think I ever had so much fun with a camera. When I upgraded to the R7 with RF 100-500, I passed my older gear onto a friend, who also uses it for birds and wildlife. She just returned from an African photo safari, and I was reminded of just how good it was.
I would agree - it is easy to use. The R7 offers more control on the back than the R50 does dust to more buttons but for the price - this little set up is amazing. And you can set it up for him!! 🙏🤗💖
@@wellingtoncrescent2480 I LOVE the 100-500 on the R7 but this little set up impressed me more than I had anticipated. No matter what you shoot, as long as you are out there having fun!! We all start somewhere. 🙏🤗💖

Great stuff! My friend saw your video on this camera and chose to get the 5Div like mine. I didn't tell him to do that. I presented him with several great choices, but he saw the images coming from mine and decided that he liked that. Thanks so much for sharing your outings with me. I did get that video together. If I had to start over, that's my set up right there. With the RF24-105 F4-7.1 for stuff other than wildlife. A few extension tubes, a Raynox, and I am good to go. 😀👍
You shoot the small stuff so amazingly well - it puts the rest of us to shame. I am getting ready to send a bunch of older stuff in for credit so I can be ready for the next big body release. This little set up is amazing for the cost. 🙏🤗💖

For the price and the weight this setup really is hard to beat. I find it works better for birds than my R7 so it's my new camping setup for sure. I don't shoot s ton of video but the video on this setup is pretty good minus rolling shutter but what would one expect for this price? Thanks for the video!
Thank you, thank you!!! I couldn't agree more. For the price, You just cant go wrong and perfect for the situation you are talking about, a new shooter that wants great photos or something just has trouble with large expensive set ups. I loved my M50 and took it on trips and hikes because it was so easy to carry!! One thing I prefer about the R7 is the finer control you have using back button focus, but past that.... 🙏🤗💖
