@mikepayton6942 I'm sure they'll negotiate a price that will work for both him and the team respectively. All good teams have CAP issues, and based on what Drury has done the last few years, I'm pretty confident they will find a way to make the right moves to find the proper fix that will improve the team next season. The window for a championship is not closed just yet.

I love the Rangers and I love Igor but I would hate to see what happened to Hank happen to him. I will always be a Rangers fan, But honestly who knows if they'll ever win a cup again. Almost every year of the last 30 years they've had more than enough talent to win it all but have inevitably choked...... Everyone except the goalie that is. I wouldn't blame Igor one bit for seeking out a team that will actually get his name etched on the Stanley Cup like he deserves. If he does I will buy his new jersey and still support him no matter what.

This guy wants to win. That last "I don't speak English" comment regarding his contract status is telling. He saw how the Rangers wasted his predecessor's HOF career by not getting him a cup. Igor doesn't want the same thing to happen to him, so he might actually walk after next season. Better hope Garand is ready just in case.

He is such a polite fellow, but the truth of the matter is that the team in front of him SUCKED! I really hope that Igor will not become Hank 2.0... Wake up, Drury, and assemble a team that can actually FORECHECK.
“I have amazing players in front of me”……. Yeah, heartless players that fold under pressure as they casually skate to open pucks and avoid hits, but miss the play they could have made had they taken them….. who would want to play behind a team that plays suck complacent hockey, not only in the playoffs, but in an elimination game!?! Henrik made the mistake of staying with the Rangers, I don’t think Igor will want to make that same mistake. I’d love to have him on the Devils, but they wouldn’t be able to afford him without sacrificing their core, but I think he’s gonna opt to test the waters as his contract is coming to an end after next season.
