1st SFAB Colombia Mission Announcement

1st Security Force Assistance Brigade (SFAB) will deploy an advisory team to Colombia on June 1 to support counter-narcotics cooperation, announced Lt. Col. Mike Berriman, Commander of 3rd Squadron, 1st SFAB. The SFAB will train with, advise, and assist Colombian units in areas designed by the Colombian government as "priority areas," and focus on logistics, services, and intelligence capabilities directly supporting U.S.-Colombia counter-narcotics collaboration and information sharing. This deployment supports the longstanding partnership between the U.S. and Colombia.
