If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.
Keep crushing. May your desires be greater than your obstacles.
Never quit,
Alex
FULL DISCLOSURE
I make content to make money - just - on a longer time horizon than most. I want to build trust with business owners so we can find the best ones and help them scale. And if they’re awesome, write them a check and go all the way as partners.
I've mentioned this before but Alex and his wife absolutely need to write a book called $100 million relationships! This advice is better than anything I've heard from any therapist marriage counselor or author!
I unliked this comment so I could like it again. Fantastic idea lol
Yes we need your philosophy
It would be cool but it’s very hard to find someone who really works that hard as them
Hope he read this
I’d buy a copy… I might even start selling them in my bookstore.
can we talk about how this man always talks about his wife and is happy to share how she helped him to improve, is just amazing
So cuteeeeeeeee . this is what a high value man is. He knows her worth and he did not try to replace her after wealth came. Nothing compare to all these clowns who run like dogs from a woman to another
Yea he is so pussy whipped
Girl was a 💎 gem, not gold digger
Alex got high lvg to have a wife who is loyal to him
It really is the healthiest to build each other up.
$100M Relationships - How to build healthy relationship that work.
A good book idea
Seconded
Sounds good.
For me: $100M Relationships - How to build great family, sounds better. 🙂
I’d buy that
Man, Leila is the GOAT!
Facts
I’ve never sat through 17 lessons and wished there were 17 more until today
One of the things I do with Alex's videos is to save them to re watch them and immediately understand how I can start applying that knowledge with my projects, my wife etc! On this one what I liked the most is the part of reframing anxiety into caring!
1. Never stifle a generous impulse whether its a gift or praise.
2. You never take a night to sleep on an emotional response, but you do the ones taken in the moment
3. Stress doesn't mean theres something wrong it means you are alive
4. You can feel bad and do nothing about it
5. Longterm > Everything
6. The quality of your business is directly proportional to the quality of the people you hire which is directly proportional to your character and ability to cast a clear vision and how they fit in it
7. Be fast to extend trust be even faster to take it back
8. Don't require three strikes to get someone out of your life, if someone shows you their true colors trust them the first time
9. Punishment only gets short term obedience, praise gets long term loyalty
10. You cannot ask anyone for things you do not give them
11. Be fiercely competitive with yourself, ignore everyone else
12. Listen to feedback the first time, change your behavior now no matter how much it hurts.
13. The best operators take action immediately on tasks. They are delegation machines not systems people.
14. People will care about you if you act like you care about them by actually care about them.
15. Do what you are most afraid of because its usually the thing you need to do most
16. Networking only matters if you have nothing to offer
17. You cannot be CEO of more than one thing. Kill your babies.
That's why you're rich
Ty
Amazingly simple but clarifying thoughts like this are worth their weight in gold. That you'd share them the way you do is such a gift! Thanks very much for being such a positive force.
Wow. This might be one of the best videos I have seen from you. And I 've seen them all pretty much
I don't know why but you saying "the workouts you hate doing are the ones you need to do" made me feel so happy because I've heard that and said that my whole life
Push-ups 😅 I’m so glad I did this years ago!
I feel everyone I have seen who has questioned whether relationships are worth it or not, when they meet someone who really makes them better, they always end up leaning towards the side of a partner is 100% worth it. And it makes sense. Having someone who you can let into your own mind, without having to worry about being judged and help you control your mind and thoughts is priceless. Having someone to celebrate the good times/hard work with and someone to hold during the bad. Human touch is very important. A hug, a fist bump, a high five, it makes a difference in building a relationship with a friend. Nevermind an intimate relationship with a partner. The right team can be unstoppable.
Thank you for sharing
I think another important thing to note here is that Alex isn't dependent on his partner. He is self-sufficient. I think a lot of people mistake a partner for someone they can 100% depend on, which to some extent, you should be able to depend on them. But you have to be able to handle your own problems and issues. Alex has learned from his partner and because he was in a situation that was self-sufficient, the relationship has been that much more successful. Just my opinion, obviously would love to hear what others think on this topic.
🔥
Thank you for all the advice you two give out freely!
I would love to see a Leila’s version of this!
You know I never regret watching Alex, finished all his Spotify podcasts, and still watching them on youtube again.
The crazy thing is this is the exactly what he wants. Me saying this will unconsciously make you choose him over someone else when you have time to watch some stuff.
Its crazy. Keep it up man.
Alex is just the epitome of a healthy dude. He is very flawed and we can tell, we can see his huge lust for power and in ways how that dominated his life in both positive and negative ways, when he says he was sort of a bully at times we can all totally see it, but the fact that he doesn't hide it, speaks about his growth from his failures and his wife, it is witnessing a live beast go through his beautification period and the guy is only in his 30s. Whoa
Very, very well put.
Wow. Never heard a lot of these thoughts. Alex is bringing unique and powerful ideas into the world.
I`ve skipped over this video because I thought I wouldn't get the tactics that I thought I needed. This is true leadership. I feel almost more excited to meet her one day than Alex himself.
"Organization is a vehicle for personal development for everybody involved." Keep being awesome both of you! :)
Damn! All the advice is so damn good! I'm in junior manager position, but i learn every single piece of your content! Thx alex! ❤
Holy shit I think this is all that is needed. Watched the entire thing and saved it to watch it again tomorrow
Wow more pure genius
Alex Hormozi is an analytical master
I’ve made all the mistakes he details, I just can’t describe them as well even to myself and he then organizes and solves them. Brah, WTF? How am only learning from you now? I needed you 25 years ago!! Keep it up man, I’m really proud of you (why is that lol?)
This is best advice I got based on relationship and business. Thanks Alex.
Wtf, is she this great of an operator?! This is like 90% of the success 😅 Having a CEO this good unlocks everything.
dude these advises for a lack of a better word are so fucking practical , appriacte it dude
2:55 I started grooving to the background music. Good pointers, your wife seems like a smart lady 👍
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL how you admire Leila and THANK YOU for sharing🌹
Loved the analogy of 'dead people problems'-stress means we're alive and striving. Great insights! 😄
One of the very few “influencer” couples actually being a good influence on their audience.
How he can learn from everything and everyone, his wife has been a growth element for him and he for her, understanding what she does and understanding the value is a great behavior to work as a team towards a winning environment for not just both of them but their complete company!
@Alex11530 wow! Thanks for replying! I really love your content and have applied the learnings in my day to day, Start today not tomorrow has become part of my mantra and what I want to share with the people around me!
Punishment fades, reward stays. Great words. For 10 years straight my ex and I occasionally texted and it always started great but then I remembered why I dislike her. It kept going until I heard you talk about this, and now I can happily say that I blocked her for the first time ever. Whenever I think about the good times together I'll never forget about punishment v reward.
Thanks
This is better than any coaching I have listened to. #17 is golden. Thank you Alex and Leila!
Dont find many peeps like these!
Beautiful that you have acknowledged that your wife played an integral part of your personal and business growth. Unfortunately many dismiss or minimize the contributions of the wife. Great video.
Leila has been such a blessing to your life from what I can see. You were meant to be. She sees past your moments of doubts and kicks you back into play 😂😂
Thank you for all of the incredible advice!
You are an amazing Leila and you. May God bless you both and keep you together
Animations are super on point and fit the rhythm of the actual conversation perfectly
Whoever is responsible for the titles of these videos, you are doing an amazing job. You consistently make titles that target 2 types of audiences and word it in a way that captivates a much larger audience to maximize views. Reflecting on this, I find it funny that Alex is giving us value from a title.
Open a dodgeball gym
Idk why but this is hilarious
Title should be more like, “how being in the right relationship made me rich”.
He's def selling something to married folk and people in relationships.
What would you tell me if you knew I wouldn’t get angry?
What a question, what a mindset 💪🏻
I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Donald Kayla
The very first time we tried, we invested $1000 and after a week, we received $7500. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
😱 sounds familiar, I have heard her name on several occasions.. and both her success stories in the wall Street journey!
She is my family's personal broker and also a personal broker in many families I'm United States, she's a licensed broker and a FINRA AGENT in United states
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
she's mostly on Telegrams, using the user name
Alex and Layla provide more value then any mastermind and network event I’ve been to, and I’ve spent 25k to have dinner with “top performers”
This is why you and her will be billionaires by the end of 2025. Your honesty and humility (though you said you don't feel humble) are the example of legends. I definitely want to ensure I become someone of magnitude with these core values to work for you and/or with you in the near future. You've made me a better human watching this and you helped reset my minimum standards yet again. Thank you Alex and Leila
It is the healthiest to build each other up. 💪 I wonder if the relationship videos are authentic or a show.
“wife”
Love this! Is there an audio version on the podcast for this, and if so, which episode?
I was watching one your wife’s UA-cam videos that really helped me internally about working long hours at jobs, even if you make good money I would get anxious not living in my purpose. I wrote down all 3. 1. I don't have to do this
2. Goal is to be imperfect "done is better than perfect"
3. Work capacity is built from time under tension Thank you 🙏🏻
10:35 this right is what attracts and draws a man to the right woman. wishing ya'll a huge prosperous future.
alex I love this distinctive approach to relationship and life standards are actually necessary from simple goals to tactical success. great perspective from a travelled man
Alex you’ve changed my life with your content. Truly an amazing soul 🙏
changed my life too, insanely thankful
Leila is the Goat!
You are both very high it the trait of openness. Therefore when you hear something that makes sense you are willing to adopt it.
100% agreed.
When you choose the right woman, life becomes so great 💪
Love this! Thank you
So valuable, thank you.
Love how you two have come together to create greatness.

Great advice Alex! Love this content
We just fell in love with Leila! 🥰
29:58 Don't forget you already have a replacement for a replacement for a replacement for a replacement in your organization xD. I'm sure there's more nuiance to this regardless of having a replacement or not. Might be a good point for another video to dive deeper into.
Really valuable! My conclusion is that I'm gonna try to hang out with people smarter than me.
Always , healthier/ smarter/ wiser thats the only way you will Grow

Alex Hormozi chose to make history instead of making bank.
Dawg trust me I’m tryin!! No but for real, being with someone increases finances
Love this style
Holy shit, I love this talk. The funny thing is, my own wife and I are just like you and yours, except my way of thinking strongly aligns with your wife's while my wife's is very similar to yours, haha.
love hearing you talk about leila
it makes sense now why Alex likes g cardone... he has a thing for scammers 😂 ironically, the salesman is easily sold. regardless both Alex and Leila are awesome and provide immense value!
sometimes i feel that i am just becoming more and more stressed without seeing fast enough progress in the things I am doing :/
Thanks
Blessed relationship
Because she is better at business :-)
I want to know what he does for workouts and how much gear he is on. He supposedly works so much and is so jacked!!! Their relationship sounds awesome though. They seem to compliment each other and inspire each other.
Love this!!!❤❤❤
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT HEADPHONES YOU USE FOR NOISE CANCELLING
WE VEING DECENT HUMAN BEINGS WITH THIS ONE 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can you expand on number 3 in another video?
please produce content in Portuguese here for Africa Angola
This is basically 41 minutes of what is great about Leila. Love it
Crazy how he struggles ( has struggled) with basic empathy. But then again no human is perfect and everyone has their struggles.
How do we work consistently if we don't create systems, I'm so not a fan of them, and I feel they are a struggle, but what is the way to be consistent and have a workflow to focus on what is more important and brings you closer to your goal without the,, I remember Rob Dyrdek said he created systems for all of his businesses and this is what made him a mult-businessman
