Garp only lost once Helmepo left the island.
While Helmepo was there to hold the yonko crew in check, Garp was ok.
Blackbeard pirates:
"I was going for the kill, yet he survived" aka going all out not holding back at all.
"It was a team effort" aka ganging up on him all at once.
Plus they were in their home turf so they had all the advantages.
Garp on the other hand:
He was holding back and looked way better than Aokiji through out the fight. Speed blitzing him and one shotting him while being nerfed.
The backup he brought only was there to rescue Koby. None of them fought BB crew other than the unnamed pirates at the port.
All these FACTS yet KoL is trying so hard to disrespect Garp. I'm so sick and tired of this community. Nothing but agendas.

It’s not disrespect to not believe this statement from Aokiji.
Garp himself states that holding back makes you weak to Kuzan twice in that fight. - this comment makes no sense if Garp was fighting a Kuzan who was always going all out. It also confirms that Garp is wasn’t holding back because his own principles call that weak.
We also just have plenty more reasons to not believe Aokiji since he could have killed Garp on the floor but didn’t and we still know what a serious Aokiji looks like from Punk Hazard yet he barely used his fruit on Garp despite spamming it against a magma human with confirmed advanced armament and possibly conquerors.
To be fair, I think Kuzan is lying when he said that he was going for the kill and he has actual interest in keeping Garp alive. I won’t believe that he will just be ready to kill his life-long mentor that easily. So he probably had to put up a show in order to be convincing for the Blackbeard pirates, but he is still holding back just enough, he knows Garp so he knows how much he can tank.
But for the rest, completely valid, there was no team effort from Garp’s side, Gruss and Helmeppo were only dealing with fodders.
You the only one with Agenda, I don’t agree with how weak Garp is to KOL, Kuzan who was a fleet admiral level combatant (Same position Sengoku had narratively) is able to just beat an Old garp. “Couldn’t kill him” nigga just impale an icicle in his brain lmao that’s bullshit, he ain’t durable like Kaido, shiryu stabbed through that nigga like butter. When it comes to the Yasopp scene, is it possible that he heard Bart calling them soft? Shanks is a bit surprised when Yasopp pulls out the gun and he also looks pretty upset (Shanks has an exclamation mark at least)
What does this mean, if this is the case? That Yasopp's observation is so good, that he heard that. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if Yasopp has special bullets, like how his son has pop greens.

Oda said giants live roughly 3 times as long as humans, but from the giant ages we’ve been told, it looks more like they live 4 times as long tbh.
So 60’s for a giant would probably be like late teens/early twenties for a human.
And Dorry and Brogy are probably in the human equivalent of their late forties.

Couple things about this chapter.
#1. Luffy is probably gonna be upset at Shanks due to Bartolomeo and Kidd being dealt with the way they were dealt with. Because Kidd, I can see luffy letting that one slide. But, Bartolomeo was fleeing and apologized for his actions. Luffy is probably gonna hold a grudge about that.
#2. Perona and Moria escaping is most likely going to lead to them joining the Cross Guild. I believe this due to Perona and Mihawk's relationship.
#3. Dragon has been making moves and we haven't realized or been shown what his moves are. This doesn't excuse his previous issues, but it is a step in the right direction.
Big moves are being made already.

What KOL?? Never heard of or had Absinthe before??? It's a real liquor that is not only heavy in alcohol but there's an acidic agent in it that causes hallucinations. You start seeing a bunch of green dots all over the place too hence it's nickname, that's right, it really is nicknamed green fairy in real life too. I actually never thought Oda would ever reference the stuff in One Piece.
One or two shots is not enough for hallucinating effects but drinking a decent amount of it straight up . . . Anyway, real absinthe is actually illegal in some parts of the world and now they make a weak synthetic version of it so that places like USA can have things that are "like absinthe." It's not the same. Real absinthe has to be smuggled in illegally and very "downlow procedure-ish," in order to even have it here.
Some speculate now that Yasopp's CoO is so strong that this is what happens. Bartolomeow is crazy enough to stash a load of TNT on his ship. It really wouldn't shock anybody. Now this ain't confirmed but its what some people are going with. Anyway Yasopp's Observation Haki is so good that he not only heard Barto talking shit and calling Shanks soft from afar, but also took a shot at said TNT simply because he could see it at that distance. KoL, check out the Vanir and AEsir in Norse Mythology. The Vanir are also fairies, and early in the chapter one of the giants warned the Straw Hats on the Absynthe, which is also known as the "Green Fairy". Also, the leader of the Vanir really makes one think (look up Njord; also known as the God of the Wind and the Sea).
I’m thinking the person kidnapping people might be Apoo on Wano in the cover story. I think Nami was kidnapped by Prince Loki’s crew and he fancies her. And Loki is actually a giant teen or child (they have longer lifespans so maybe they’re children longer) who put Nami in his Lego toy house to keep her. Loki could straight up be a child and that’s why Lola rejected him.
2:24:10 Caribou _is_ supposed to be a black guy, actually; he's genuinely depicted as dark-skinned in the digitally colored version of the manga. The unofficial translators did that to reflect that, since there's no way to tell what his race is due to the manga being monochromatic all the time.
