I have a standard 530 about 6 years. I am a gigging musician and this is my go too. I had a 335 and SG. I sold both Gibsons when I went to Heritage. The quality is absolutely top shelf.
Bought a Heritage 535 last year, better than any 335 i've ever played, even vintage ones. Heritage is pure art. Best guitar I've ever owned. And to your point about guitars being THE thing you should gravitate to, I found that having several guitars actually reduces that pull. A sort of option paralysis where they are all "special", and therefore none of them really are... Because you'll inevitably (if not always) have one or two that you keep going back to. So I now only own two guitars and that has exponentially brought back the fun and inspiration, because when you have just one or two, you REALLY cherish them beyond anything else. It becomes a spiritual thing for me where, if you own an instrument you barely play, it should live in someone else's hands. LESS IS ALWAYS MORE. Anyway, keep up the great work, Buddy Blues!
@@BuddyBlues thx Buddy, i really appreciate your work. Your videos are always very helpful and insightful. Cheers from a fellow Leb and fan from Montreal, Canada. Keep it up!!👌🏼👌🏼
@ and about the H150, as great as it sounds, i don’t find it as sweet or as versatile as the 535 (as a humbucker guitar). Still, a wonderful instrument for sure!
Hello Buddy, I have been looking at the Heritage Standard collection version of this. And YES, I definitely I want to see more of this guitar especially with fuzz and with the Browne Protein.
@@BuddyBlues I loved the sound of all three of them together and thats why I want to hear more of them. I have bought guitars unseen/unplayed before. But the idea of forking out £3k (thats the current UK price of the H530 standard) without trying first normally scares me. But after watching this. I think it might just be worth it.

It’s funny when I’m with friends like you here on the channel, it’s funny when I do it on stage with my band, but producers seem to not find it funny when I’m booked on a session 😂😂 thank you for watching!
@@BuddyBlues I think you need to do a small business Tuesday fuzz-off with that Heritage. I need some inspiration for my new (to me) Epi ES355 Shinichi Ubukata
Great playing. It really does feel like the resonance of a big hollow like a H350 with P90s interacts with your playing in a unique way. Also, crazy to think that you could conceivably crest over 20K subscribers yet this year. Wild. Thanks for all the hard work you do to create content.
Wonderful! That is a beauty and you sound fantastic. I have a 2019 standard H-530 with the Lollar P90s and I just love it. It resonates like yours acoustically, and it is just so warm and resonant. So inspiring to play! I heard the Custom Core model has a much thicker neck. Mine has a very comfortable medium C, thicker than my old 96 H535. I prefer the 530 personally.
Sounds great and great playing. One of these or a Shabat would be a dream guitar of mine but there is no universe that I will ever be able to afford one.
Oh I hear you.. I had a 1969 strat that I sold for $6000 in 2010. Biggest mistake I’ve ever made. I could buy a brand new Honda accord with the money if I sold it now or would have kept it!
You’re playing & that guitar are both outstanding. I don’t know if this is possible, but if you could compare it to a Collings I 30 I would be interested in your thoughts. Also, just so you’re aware, I’ve been jamming along with you this entire video. We sound really good .😂
WE SHOULD START A BAND! I’d love to get a Collings i30 on the channel and do a comparison. I’d just have to wait till one of my friends get one and lend it to me haha
I don’t really understand the discussion around Heritage guitars. If you grew up playing Kalamazoo Gibsons, they just feel right in a way that current Gibsons don’t, and say what you want but I think they have a nicer looking headstock. They spend their resources building guitars and paying employees, not trying to be a lifestyle brand and suing anyone they can.
they'd sell more guitars if they just reworked the headstock

Why do you say, "Bla, Bla, Bla..and all of that." Just finish your thought. Why do you try to cram everything and so fast? Just say it in an even pace!
Great question! Many reasons. Reason 1: I speak and write 5 languages, fluently. English, as obvious by my accent, is not my strongest one. So I’m usually translating in real time when I speak. Reason 2: I try to keep the videos shorter than 15 mins. Clearly here and in 90% of my videos, I failed. Because I get excited about what I’m talking about. Sometimes I get too excited and go off on tangents then never end which brings us to our next reason. Reason 3: I ramble when I’m talking about something I’m excited about. And rambling off tangents can often lead to my target audience losing interest, which brings us to our final reason! Reason 4: you are not my target audience. I don’t mean this in a negative way at all. This is the rhythm and style of my all of my videos. Clearly by your comment it’s not your cup of tea. Which is fine. There are many creators that make non-talking videos. In summary: This is my pace, adapt. Thanks!

I just realized that’s where the pickup names come from too! 225 are the names of the pickups in this guitar! Thanks for that
I have a 530 standard. One of the best guitars I’ve ever played. Also have their 535 but the 530 is something special.

@BuddyBlues , don't change a thing .
I have a custom H530 in dark cherry burst, it sounds amazing. They have surprisingly hot P90s
The guitar looks as fire as your playing sounds, great match.

Thanks for doing a giveaway for this beast Buddy. 😆
Man I wouldn’t give this away if someone gave me 20 grand for it 😂. I believe in guitar magic and this one has magic
Great tone and playing bro. I miss my 1970s Gibson 335. I did a bad trade. Many regrets because it’s probably worth a lot of dough now.

nice. this is one of them jams that make me wish i could sing like luther vandross or donnie hathaway.
