at this time, there was a picture of Michael Jordan crying used in a ton of memes. so when he said "now he's got me.. i'll have to look at another crying meme for the next.." that's what he was referring to that had everyone cheering and laughing. what a great speech overall
You have to check out Shaq's tribute from this, too. They accomplished so much together and definitely butted heads while teammates, but over the years, they patched up their friendship and Kobe's death hit Shaq really hard
Kobe and Michael are both unicorns. Almost the exact same height, almost exact same skill set, same killer instinct on the court, same drive to become the best possible player they could be. They dealt with the same frustrations behind the scenes with teammates. The struggle to motivate teammates who aren't trying nearly as hard as they should be (in their eyes), so they can reach their professional goals. They understood each other more than any other people they'd ever met. It's no wonder that Kobe's death hit Michael so hard.
Kobe idolized MJ and both were so competitive that it bordered on insanity. there's being a top 1% competitor and then there's guys like them who are obsessed. Kobe's work ethic was legendary. there are so many stories from players who knew him about how much harder he worked than even other top players
Yes, Dave his thirteen year old daughter was on the helicopter with her dad and she loved basketball and was good just like her dad. I never saw this Tribute of Kobe via Michael Jordan before but that was beautiful and sad at the same time! 😭😭
I saw this pop up on my timeline yesterday, but I thought to myself; "I'm not ready to get emotional yet. Here I'm sitting a few hours later tearing up. Rip Kobe, Rip Gianna and everyone else who was on that heli. Damn
Shaq's tribute to Kobe was very cool also! The best quote was "The day Kobe gained my respect, the guys were complaining. They said Shaq,.. Kobe's not passing the ball....I said I'll talk to him..... I said Kobe.... There's no I in team..... and Kobe said, I know but there's an M. E. in that m***** f*****!"...................So I went back and said....Just get the rebound, he's not passing"
Yes, her name was on that sign as well. I believe it was reported that when they recovered he was holding onto her, in an attempt to shield her from the impact. I can't imagine how his widow dealt losing with her husband and a child as well.
I lost my brother in 2012 and after that, I didn't really care too much when celebrities died. When Kobe died it felt like I actually lost someone I knew personally though. He was that much of an icon.
His daught Gianna was in the helicopter as well... and a couple of her teammates and some of the parents...not sure how many other parents were in the helicopter tho
It's weird how the untimely death of some celebrities is sad but not really personal even to a fan, while others hit you as something having gone wrong with the whole world. Robin Williams was like that, and Kobe Bryant hit that note too.
When I saw the news about Kobe, and everyone else who was in that helicopter I was almost as shocked as I was on 9/11, stuff you just don’t even think are possible
I'm a member at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club with Jordan and they hate him every time he comes to play. It's a walking course but he says he's handicapped so he plays with a golf cart. He usually runs up a 7000-15000 tab at the club house and tips usually 2-3% for taking up 15 staff members for a day
Kobe is known his entire career as mj version 2..its not an insult to kobe. Nobody comes close to mj when it comes to skills ,styles and passion for the game other than kobe
There is a Kobe Bryant motivational speech called "Mindset of a Winner: Kobe Bryant's Champion advice" that is on UA-cam (video author is Motiversity), which is basically just clips of an interview into his mind. I think you guys would enjoy that. I listen to it every once in a while
Kobe real talk probably could've became the President if he wanted to. He was so FUCKIN dedicated. I hated him growing up, but as I got older I still hated him. it was really because his intelligence and work ethic was second to fucking none.
A big thing is alot of NBA players idolized Jordan, obviously, and the photo you talked about Jordan giving Kobe advice was in the middle of a game. Seems ridiculous lol help your opponent, but I think that shows how much Jordan respected Kobe.
As time goes on after Kobe's death, I hope people realize there were 8 other people who died on that helicopter, most were kids. And lets be real, the arena is packed because it was an LA event to be seen at for most of the people there.
@@willvr4 Both can be true. People can love being seen and love Kobe. They weren't there for the eight other people. They aren't reacting to a video about the eight other people. You probably wouldn't have clicked on a video about the eight other people. Speaking of, I bet you couldn't tell us the names of those people without looking it up. Me either, but I'm also not on here virtue signaling.
People know there were other people in the helicopter. That doesn’t take away from that fact, the fact was this is a famous player and his daughter that were killed. Every family does things differently in laying their family to rest. Of course this was this way because of the type of player he was and a place for the fans to watch to be apart of his passing and tribute. The other that also died didn’t need to be mentioned here or brought to the forefront because this was not the way their family wanted them laid to rest. It would make so sense because no one knows who they are. It might sound mean but people don’t just show up at funerals of people they don’t know and mentioned them to people they don’t know. No one is ignoring them, but this isn’t about them, it’s about Kobe. Just like at the other funerals or memorials it’s not about Kobe, it’s about them. No one forgot them, they were talked about and mentioned, just like if we hear a story about a killing, or crash and someone died. You listen, your heart breaks you may say a prayer for the family, then move on. You don’t know the person or family, it’s the same here. The difference is, one was a celebrity, and his daughter, the others were friends of the family, that’s the only reason you know who they are.
I don't get it. This is what happened...a FATHER and MOTHER looked outside, saw thick fog and the decided to put their CHILD on to a DEATH TRAP, just to avoid L.A. traffic. Parents are just as capable of seeing fog as pilots are. Now, the woman who should have her remaining children taken from her, gets more millions from the chopper company because THEY knew flying out n fog was dangerous...who else knew that??? The guy puts a ball in a hoop so who cares about his off the charts NEGLECT. The Bryants are the ones who had the ultimate responsibility to protect their children...their responsibility if far beyond the responsibility of the chopper business.
Awesome ....... But go SEATTLE SUPERSONICS!...... Oh , I mean return to being. Rain man Kemp, the glove Payton, the greatest gone NBA team ever........ And Godspeed Kobe Bryant

Still can’t believe he’s gone. Kobe was one of those guys you could never imagine leaving us early
I remember waking up and hearing that horrible news, not for a second believing it.
Yeah man…
Just before the pandemic and everything going to complete shite.
I still remember watching this live and I couldn't stop crying and laughing. RIP KOBE.

Michael Jordan, completely class act , always, top to bottom...
Actually, he's a jerk. Hard-working jerk, but a jerk. Go watch his Hall of Fame induction speech.
Rest Easy Bean 🟡🟣
Thanks bro, I will.

I heard that wasn't true, as they didn't know they were about to crash.
BEAUTIFUL MAN... BEAUTIFUL SPEECH...

I actually think Shaq had one of the best speeches at this memorial, but they were all touching.
His daught Gianna was in the helicopter as well... and a couple of her teammates and some of the parents...not sure how many other parents were in the helicopter tho
This is how you know it is bigger than basketball
R.I.P. Kobe and Gigi Bryant. And all the others who perished on that day.
It's weird how the untimely death of some celebrities is sad but not really personal even to a fan, while others hit you as something having gone wrong with the whole world. Robin Williams was like that, and Kobe Bryant hit that note too.
I think we all miss kobe every day 💯❤️😭
The GOAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kobe. One of the greatest ever. 😢

Ahhh I was crying my ass off. I loved this man. Even tho I never met him. Rip Kob
I was just thinking they need way more Kobe reactions
You guys should react to Ronnie Coleman's speech on his lifetime achievement award. It's beautiful.
When an entire arena is silent, you know something important is happening. R.I.P. Mamba

THANK YOU for reacting to this. Reacting to Shaq speaking about Kobe would also be great. Rest in Peace you absolute legend. We will never forget you.
Most celebrity deaths don't hit to hard particularly but Kobe just felt so personal

Imagine being Michael, Jordan, and everyone under 25 refers to you as the crying face meme😂😂😂😂
Man got ever player in the league on here
FIRST! RIP KOBE BEAN
Kobe was a killer on the court. You should do a reaction to his game winners.
this was the Celebration of Life for Kobe and Gianna Bryant in February of 2020 at the then Staples Center it's not called Staples Center anymore

His daughter Gigi was also died in the crash
React to Shaq's Hall of Fame speech. Pure stand up comedy
🐐
Kobe’s death softened him …
Like most have said Shaq remembering Kobe was also sad. As well as Jerry West
Watch the 75th anniversary team video!
You should do the Inside the NBA, Shaqs reaction to Kobe's death. It's titled "Shaq reflects on Kobe Bryant's death."

Please react to kobe bryant ultimate career mixtape 🙏
Pls do Shaq's tribute!
Watch Shaq's speech
I love how in typical Jordan fashion, he somehow made his speech about himself.
Love the bball vids

😢 you got to react to Beyoncé tribute.
Peyton Manning's retirement speech is another great one.
Kobe died January 26th, that's probably why
As time goes on after Kobe's death, I hope people realize there were 8 other people who died on that helicopter, most were kids.

You say that its packed because it was an event to be seen at but I'm sure they could have filled that place 4 times over
@@leebryden8322 I don't doubt it based on the amount of people who were posting pictures to their social media just to prove they were there...

And lets not also forget about that rape charge he was able to walk away from because he was Kobe Bryant.
This is so good. You need to watch the Billy Crystal speech for Muhamad Ali.
