I'm not going to throw skin color in there but I'm going to throw culture in. When I was younger and I first saw the MVP character I liked him. He was like a basketball player turned wrestler. Plus his theme song was done by silk the shocker.
Randy Orton wrestling a match that was promoted for weeks couldn't even bring NXT to 900k. At this point, he may as well be on the same level of Sami Zayn and Kevin Obese
The thing I hate about CM Punk is he's built his identity on the notion that smaller, less charismatic wrestlers are just as skilled and entertaining as larger, more charismatic wrestlers. It's like he's rebelling against the idea that he and wrestlers like him aren't as good or tough as the typical wrestler from the Golden Era, the Attitude Era, etc. The only problem with that is it's a scripted product. So if WWE just decides smaller, less charismatic stars are going to go over larger, more charismatic ones, then that's what's going to happen. If someone like CM Punk is booked to beat the likes of Batista or The Rock, it's not like that guy is actually tougher than Batista or The Rock. It just means WWE thinks that guy is more marketable or the story is better that way or whatever. The other problem is the product is kinda scripted to be real. So when we see someone like Drew McIntyre keep losing matches to a guy like CM Punk as often as he does, you're kinda left wondering "What the Hell is wrong with Drew McIntyre?"

Manages Very Poorly was given Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley, two talented men who gave Ahmed Johnson a run for his money in the body department and should have had careers to match and managed to con them into leaving the WWF. Yes, some of it can be attributed to the fact neither Vince nor HHH could book shit out of an ass after 2007. But MVP dragged both men into his shitty wo is me mindset and now its over.
Speaking of AEW, They just hit an all time low with the ratings over on the latest episode of Dynamite on October 8th. They aired at 9 and went about an hour against NXT but when the final ratings came in, they drew in a pitiful and atrocious 329,000, which is the lowest number in AEW Dynamite. They just resigned with WB too.
I think they could’ve done more with the Hirt Business, but they weren’t the Bloodline. Vince made a mistake by breaking them up once Bobby got the belt
