How to Size a Dominant Dog/Slip Collar

The dominant dog collar is a training collar that must be properly sized and in the right position in order to work effectively. In this video, Duke Ferguson teaches how to get the proper fit and shows the necessary position of the dominant dog collar on your dog's neck. This training collar has a few different names that are used interchangeably. They can be called dominant dog, slip, and choke collar. Duke likes to refer to them as whoa or calm-down collars, as their main purpose is to prevent high arousal and keep your dog calm.

Thank you for the information. I was feeling the collar was too tight, but seeing this video helped. I have a dog reactive, occasionally handler reactive rottweiler. There's been a few times I could really have used this collar versus the pinch. Again..thank you.
