Eheim Skims are the best. A few minutes and all film is gone. Glad to see everything is pretty much okay. Keep up the great work. Your videos are inspiring. 🤙🏼
From this clip i notice you got hard wood floor so i need to know that you have any issue with the wood floor and salt water when it spill? Or maybe that is not real solid wood. Thank
I saved my tank once by running it with a car power inverter. Electricity was down for 2 days, so I connected it to my car, and rotated it with my wife's when I had to fill up.
I just got rid of my bumble bee snail. I found it munching on three of my trochus snails. After catching it on the act the second time wasn’t worth keeping around.
No, the outage didn’t cause anything. This was from basically 2 weeks of not touching the tank, as there’s no skimmer or filtration things get dirtier quicker.
@@DannysAquariums ooh, that explains alot😅, hadn't noticed it didnt have filtration. I thought all this was the "damage" of just one weeks of absence with a complete system😂. Great video👌🏻👌🏻
Haha no! The wave maker kept working during the outage, luckily, it changed to a default. 😝 It was soooo nerve racking haha! Couldn’t see or do anything with the tank since I was far from home.
So do I understand correctly that there were problems due to internet outage? That is just absurd, really. Reef tanks are very sensitive as they are, why would anyone introduce additional failure points such as the internet? A power outage is not a big enough risk?! And the owner writes "the unthinkable happened"?! An internet outage is by no means unthinkable, it is something to be expected. And why did the pumps not work without internet? That is just stupid, stupid, stupid.
This comment is stupid indeed, like I said, the wave maker continued to work on a default program the only thing that happened while the internet was out is that I couldn’t make any changes to the settings remotely. The internet (almost) never goes out here, also no power outages usually. If it happens it’s usually because of maintenance, which would be announced and that takes just a few minutes. In my country, even that barely happens. Nowadays, a lot of equipment has the function to change settings via your phone, which connects through bluetooth and wifi.
Since this has never happened before, I didn’t know what to expect or what was happening. I did not know if the equipment continued to work (it did, like I said) and I did not know if it was caused by a power outage or internet outage at first, how can I tell if no ones home? If it was a power outage, of course, the equipment wouldn’t have worked. I checked with our provider and they said there was indeed a very rare outage that lasted just a few minutes, since I barely had service where I was at at the time it took a while before it displayed as normal on my phone again.
*What do you think would look cool in two 20 gallon shallow reef tanks?* 💬
skimmer mate
can i ask whats your light setting on sir
How about a macro-algae low tech tank with some soft corals as well. Low maintenance and will thrive in high nitrate tank.
Saltwater Molly
blue hypnea
Sad to see what went wrong with the tank, but glad to know that you are still in the game 💪🏻
Brilliant to see the tank doing so well after being left. Really enjoyed the update - talented cinematics. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Im glad that it survived really good
Me too 🙏🏻
This has slowly become my favorite youtube channel.

Glad to see the Invertebrates being added, they will earn their keep.

This is the best channel
I just completed a 10% water changes on my 50 gallon reef tank. This video made me feel like I just changed the world.
Awesome vid! 🥇
i was waiting the whole video for the second clownfish.... finally he was swimming xD
love your reeftanks
Hi from Brasil 🤗
Great content, i'm looking forward to the next video!
Awesome! Thank you!
Yeah vacations take a toll on a tank.
What watch are you wearing in the video?

What kind of tweezers are you using?
Tank looks great. Was it difficult to get your Tailspots to pair up? I have one already, great little fish.
Nope, just bought two at the store and I think they matched haha!
@@DannysAquariums have you ever seen that the Tailspots peck at your corals?✌️
What lightsetting do you use? A preset or custom schedule?

How did stuff die after only 4 hours
Oh great, I've got snails in my tank. I know what to do, I'll get some snails! ;)
What was the tool that sucked up all the algae from the top of the tank
It's a Surface Skimmer from EHEIM. :D
My biggest fear is evaporation, did enough water evaporate to make the salinity level a risk?
May I know to what LFS you go? I live in your area and would love to know
Are you sure you live in my area?
May I ask about your filtration? Do you use any mechanical one? I am trying to figure it out since you started your shallow reef.
I use no filtration. ;)
How long were you out?
One week
Jo, how did your tank change so much over just one week? Is that really all because the electricity was out for 4 hours? This al seems kind of severe

What happened to your nano tanks?
I took them down recently, I ordered two shallow reef tanks! One of the nano tanks is in the living room now, cycling.
Hi, where did you get the tweezers?
Got mine from www.swirldrop.shop They ship to basically every country around the world. The quality of the tweezers is really good!
@@DannysAquariums cool thank you 😊👍
Name of skimmer please
I hope those bumblebees didn't munched on your feather dusters
This guy uses knives so strangely
Try to film this with limited space.
