Ingredients:
4 to 5 cups of peeled fava beans
5 pounds of fresh fava beans in the pod will yield this much
If you are using dried beans, after you soak them and remove the skin, you will need to boil them until tender before starting this recipe
2 tablespoons of minced garlic
2 tablespoons of minced anchovies
2 tablespoons of minced sun-dried tomatoes
1 cup of chicken or vegetable broth
in a pinch, water will work too
14 cherry tomatoes, halved
neutral oil, such as grapeseed or canola
This is one of the best cooking demonstrations! No unnecessary chatter just good info! I have never done tomatoes like that. Nor have I ever never been told to be sure there is plenty of water in the pot boiling so it does not drop in temp when you add the beans! thank you! I look forward to watching more of your videos!.
Thanks for watching. I hadn't seen tomatoes done like that either until Chef Tom did it when we were filming this!
Very easy listening Tom. 'Pleasure watching & learning, thanks.
This dish looks heavenly! I can almost taste it through the screen
I would eat many "tortillas" from my country with this delicious meal.
Thank you for showing us how to cook this. My son brought home fava beans and I don't have any idea on what to do with. I'm glad I stumbled upon your video. It tastes great 👍.
Thanks for watching and I'm glad it helped you decide what to do with them!
Good video. Some cook and eat them totally with the long skin or with the inner shell. I saw this on a Portuguese cooking channel.
Thanks for the kind words!
Fantastic 😍
Thanks 🤗
Very nicely done! We have never cooked with fava beans before, but you make us want to give it a try!
Thanks!
I haven't had Fava been for a long time. I need to try them again
I felt the same way before we made this video.
Sounds interesting
"Americans need to wise up". And respect indigenous foods of old cultures.
How does the skin taste?
Great video. thanks
Thanks for watching it!
I'm in Australia and growing without any pest fencing. OMG though always with the peeling? Not necessary FFS
Try them with fresh peas in a risotto………!
It's about time I did something new with them. Great idea!
Where's the liver and Cianti?😂
We had a really long debate about whether to include liver and chianti in this video or not... 😂
Id omit the sun dried tomato...just dont like them
Maybe some chopped dried olives instead
