You put the wrong link for the WLED Controller
@@ambi87 Thanks! Good catch. Updated the link :) Thanks buddy!
So this will only work with the source comingbfrom a PC or did I grasp this wrong lookin to replace my hue system with this but my main source with be from a fire cube and xbox
@ChrisMaherDIY hi Chris have you ever used hyperion or hyperhdr I'm abit stuck I was wondering if you could help as you know your stuff I have 244 led around my tv ws2812b 60led pm I know how to hook everything up capture card rasberry pi etc but only thing I don't have is the 5v 10amp plug and barrell I do have a 5v 60 amp power block thing could I use this instead or would that blow my leds and rasberry pi ? My tv sat waiting lol or should I order adapter and barrell and wait a few weeks ? I know you can use the block on wled and set its amp to what you want with esp32 but hyperion I don't think you can can you ?
@@ChrisMaherDIY Link is still messed up
Awesome. My wife told me to unsubscribe to your channel now.
Lol decisions decisions. Tell her there are worse things you could be spending money on!
Yep, mine was just giving me "the look".
Same
Mine said: "That'll look awesome in our media room." What am I doing wrong?
Omg 😅
"going overboard" is a statement, this looks so awesome!!!
Lol thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment! Glad you liked the video my friend!
@@ChrisMaherDIY oh I definitely got inspired to do more for my living room... your channel is great 🤗
This is just insanely epic. Absolutely love it Chris
Always good to hear from ya! Thanks so much guys! Appreciate you all and keep up your incredible work you do on your channel! Such an inspiration!
Amazing. This has gone beyond what I see backlighting as normally, this gives the illusion that it's being brightly reflected off of surfaces beyond the screen, because it's just that dense of pixels. This is great.
Incredible resolution on the per pixel animation with this setup. Awesome tutorial! I have been searching for a guide like this for some time. I appreciate all your hard work. Thank you very much for putting this together in such an approachable manner. I’m so pumped to try this out in my setup!
im simply amazed how much effort you put into this. especially the computation of power source
This is getting incredibly elaborate! I'm all for it!
I was just thinking about your video a while back where you teased how to get the ambient lighting so accurate…now we know. Another great video my brother! God bless!
THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!! You're the absolute man sir!
OMG!!! That is amazing. Thank you for highlighting this product. My mind is already racing with ideas that I can use Signal RGB with. I'm not sure how you do it, but you keep providing great content on every video. Thank you!!
Thanks so much for the kind words!! Appreciate it and glad you like the videos!
All i can say is, wow! The possibilities this brings to the table, endless! Love the videos and appreciate the details you included with them.
Thanks buddy! Its fun to think about the type of setup I could come up with!! Already wondering how I can do this in the living room!
@@ChrisMaherDIYseems I'm stuck with hyperion for now, unless this can work without pc? Using a raspberry pi and screen grabber has worked, but this setup process looks nicer and more comprehensive than hyperion.
@@bobgoddIt seems that the only solution for this easy setup is to actually have a PC as a TV box. It appears that for now, SignalRGB is Windows-only, so that would mean using software like Kodi or Stremio as a frontend library for your media. This narrows your options, as you'll need to buy a PC that can handle Windows 10, so that means no SBCs (well, there are SOME SBCs that work) for that purpose. I MIGHT try this, but Hyperion seems like the more budget-friendly option. I hope that they port the software to Linux, since that would open a world of opportunities!
Okay, this is amazing. I can see why you are so excited about this. Wow! Thanks for being a blessing to us.
Thanks so much!! Glad you liked the video. Your too kind!
oooooooo Chris this is SO AWESOME!!! and it works with Hue too! thank you, thank you, thank you for making this video! this IS my next lighting project!
Chris, you're a legend man! I honestly can't thank you enough! I've been meaning to build one of those fancy setups using one of the products sold solely for that kind of setup however I reverted back from doing so considering spend priorities and necessities and whatnot, however this gives me exactly what I'd like to have completely for free except with the limitation of devices to have the setup run on being a pc software rather than hardware that can be connected to other HDMI devices like a gaming console. I'm still very happy to have that setup for pc only and am quite surprised if I'm being honest to have such precise configuration and accurate results with just software! I thought it's possible but didn't expect it to be available that soon yet alone for free! Thanks so much, Chris. You really are one of my top go-to guys when it comes to ambient lighting and décor ❤ Keep up the great work! 👏👏
Hi Chris, how are you?
I hope you are all well.
This looks like the best to date by far for this application.
Take care 🙏
Wow Chris, this is amazing! I think this is your most impressive project yet. Spectacular
Thanks so much!! Definitely one of my favorite ones!
thats awesome, after watching this video i will totally do somethink like that after seeing the easy setup. Love your content.
Thanks buddy! Its so much fun to set up and play around with! Thanks for the comment!
Signal RGB is great! Been using it for sometime to control the RGB on my son's and I setups. Works great to sync the Leds strips controlled by WLED in his room to his gaming computer.
Chris outstanding work! I found myself doing the same around the apartment. Let's just say my friends think it's amazing! Love your work. Thanks for the
New application to play with!
I had not heard of Signal supprisingly i love your projetcts Chris keep up the good work and your a great reference for WLED Thanks for the info as Always my Friend Have A great Day !

Great video, excellent detail. Now I'm obsessed with figuring out a way to make this work with my floor-rising screen.

Wow that is amazing, this is my favourite led set up yet. I so need to learn how to do this and try get a setup like that. It looks so awesome.
I'm buckled in. MY BODY IS READY CHRIS.
Easy to learn explanation, great achievable results, and overall an amazing video! Subscribed
Totally blown away :D amazing work... I'd LOVE to see this setup with KDA Pop Stars played on it!
Nice! Will give it a try. I use HyperHDR today and its sick!
Really, really nice. 😎
Thank you Chris.
Thanks as always buddy! Hope you have a great weekend!
Wow. Great job man!
That's rad mate, well done
You are fantastic, I have already learned a lot and you always do more to fascinate me!
Thanks so much buddy! Glad you liked the video!
Love this video. I can't wait to add this to my home. I have a question though. How did you send the signal from the projector to the WLED app?
Holy Sh**. This is so freaking sick. Thank you for your ideas and keep up the great work!!
wow, stunning. Thanks. omw to purchase more leds
Got what I asked for. Thank you 😁
Thanks for watching and you are welcome! Sorry it took so long!
Awesome vid! Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment! Glad you liked the video!
Man, this was so informative and motivating I accidentally unliked trying to like it twice! What a fantastic resource, and that’s how I see this - far more deserving of the title resource! More than mere content - fantastic stuff, thank you!
I made the same screen backlight for only $25, and the kit includes both the ribbon and the receiver for the computer. It's funny what he's offering you!
Finally an easy way to set this up!
Bruh, definitely your the best rgb guy, love ya hermano
Thanks so much for the support buddy! Appreciate it!
That is mesmerizing, awesome. This video will give me days of work now. Looks so easy but I’ve got 2 left hands :-)
Bro..wtf..this is EPIC!
Very cool! Doing this asap
Thanks so much for watching! Once you get the hang of signalrgb and mapping things out, its so much fun!
Very very cool! I would experiment with making the LEDs at further distance from the screen progressively dimmer.
Thats a great idea and you could 100% do that! So many ways to customize things and do literally whatever you want!
That’s my thought and having the “blurrier” the further away they are
Both dimmer and blurrier, I think this could be done adding a second smaller layout closer to the center, with the larger one being 100% light intensity and the smaller being 50/70% light intensity.
This would make the car shot so much prettier.
Superb 👍. All we need now is a box that can take multiple hdmi 2.1 VRR supported inputs and 1 out to screen that we can read input from, so lights can be controlled for all connected devices.
I'm wondering how to accomplish this idea what you just explained 😂
Blackbird 8k 1x4 on Monoprice. Or any receiver made in the last 3ish years
A Hyperion ambulance setup can do multiple inputs and works with Netflix and streaming services Etc. It requires a few extra parts and a few extra steps but it looks awesome when you're done. I use mine on regular broadcast tv, streaming services, with my playstation, my computer, and my retropie emulator box.
That’s awesome thanks 👏
Wow !
Supercool stuff. Subscribed :)
Always awesome stuff my mann
Appreciate it buddy! Thanks so much for your support!
I did something similar using a Raspberry Pi, an Arduino, HyperHDR and a hdmi capture card.
The beauty of mine is, it doesn't matter if I'm watching my Shield, My Switch, Gaming PC, the lights work with everything and not just the PC.
Do you have more infos about your setup? If I can not use native TV functionallity with this, it is not for me. Your approach sounds promising
@pete.n. I can't watch native tv either (live channels from the antenna) to do that. You would need something like Govee envisual T2. I never watch live tv, so I didn't think about it while writing.
This beats every brand out there amazing
This is soo awesome. What is the best solution if you want it to follow your appleTV signal?
Nice video, subbed!
This seems worth doing.
I have hyperion and it works. This looks better, way better. I think Hyperion has black bar detection where this does not.
Epic stuff!
That looks amazing.
Thanks so much!!
So Good!
🤯. This is epic for a PC set up. I’ve been looking into a Hyperion/WLED set up for my TV but can’t quite pull the trigger.
Holly balls this is awesome. I have been looking for a good way to do a PC ambilight for years
Thanks so much for watching! It really is incredible! I still cant believe there are literally zero videos on youtube about this!!
Nice video, thanks :)
Feels the the finishing touch! beauty. my wife said I can do this as long at its in the shop... you know what that means!!!!
Awesome video Chris! Is there a way to use this without a PC and have it run through a receiver to use with video games/ movies through streaming devices?
I second that question.
this will be amazing fur my DJing setup
a micro pc could be perfect for your setup. They have some really incredible palm sized pc's for $300 or so dollars. It would be very easy to hide, mixed with a wireless keyboard track pad combo. You would have the perfect setup without the need for wireless HDMI or a pc/laptop being such an eye sore. Thank you for all the incredible videos you make Chris!!!
Very cool!
Great!
I would love to see a full video on the wireless HDMI transmitter, awesome content keep it up :)
I'll put it on the video to do list. Its actually really neat. I don't think any hardcore gamers would be happy with it, but I've streamed content from my pc downstairs to a projector upstairs and both picture and sound were amazing. My wife and kids couldn't even tell the movie was not being streamed from the Nvidia shield like normally.
My dude! This is kind of amazing. It's like "How do I get lights to react to my projector?! Govee cameras?! NOPE!" Super smart "Why didn't I think of this for screen mirror"
I want to do this with my dj streaming somehow
Hey man, God Bless, love love this setup, so the home theater and gaming setup all in one space? Nice!
Awesome!! Excited to try it.
Where can i get the calibration picture/ Wallpaper?
Thx
Thanks for this awesome video. I'm really close to doing this myself but I'm confused about how the controller receives the hdmi input. Are you using hdmi to connect the PC that is running SignalRGB and your projector?
WOW 😮ABSOLUTELY AWESOME
Thanks so much!!! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Brother...stellar as always! I hope you realize what this means for your gaming setup as well. SignalRGB Pro allows for game integrations as you to play certain games...annnnnd since your desk and everything is WLED as well? You are truly an inspiration my friend.
Thanks so much! Yes 100% I debated doing this video focused on my gaming setup or the projector/tv rout. I ended up going the projector/tv but want to at some point do a follow up with my gaming space!
More info on power and wiring would be great!
Setup looks awesome. Hopefully they will come out with something that works with this setup that does something similar to Govee's camera / syncbox and other like products. I just want my HDMI 2.1 support without having to go through multiple boxes and still lose features.
This is awesome! Any way to connect this to a Apple TV?
Very impressive work as always ! Does it work on a TV like the Govee thing ? I was looking for this kind of setup for my living room with responsive lights to Netflix…
Hi, great channel. I really apriceate time and effort you put in your work and share it with us :)
Have some problems with software, after install just getting intro screen... did you maybe have some issuse like that?
Thank you for sharing.
How would this work with a TV, for example watching films? Or does this only work through using your PC as the display input?
Very clean install, that looks like a pro job and the result is awesome.
Question: is it possible to slow down the rate at which the LEDs change color? In some cases, it looks like a slow change in an image with a lot of contrasting colors results in rapid “twinkling” of the LEDs and I imagine it’s rather distracting when watching some actual content.
This is amazing! Does the final setup always need hooked up to a computer? And then does media always need to be streamed through the computer for the program to map the LEDs?
Thank you for sharing this awesome techniques and tools, I just want to know how to get smoother and lag free performance from wled?
ima do this today!
Yeah buddy!! Its seriously way too much fun playing around with it!
@@ChrisMaherDIY I have a strip of 2812b 60/m and an extra esp32 lying around there and a 30a power supply right in my closet just waiting for something cool to come around lol.
This was amazing. First thing to do tomorrow morning, since I've already mounted the strips and an esp32 to my monitor, but I was using hyperion. Let's try signalrgb now.
Thanks buddy! Hope you enjoy testing things out as much as I have. So much fun!
@@ChrisMaherDIY Absolutely yes! Wife it's the only downside, if it's not practical and useful it won't last long. As the zigbee managed led behind the tv, or the motion activated strips under the couch for safer nightly trips to the bathroom.. But I manage to try different things from time to time and that's the funny part, I love tinkering with leds.
