- Bennie Auto has been in the exotic car business for over 5 years- their first prototype, the Bennie Purrie debuted to mixed opinions in 2019. It was a rough proof of concept plagued with poor build quality. But Bennie went back to the drawing board and learned from their experience to improve their second model. The Bennie Sternum was unveiled in March of 2024- it features a more powerful 4.2-liter V8 from Audi, and a custom tube chassis with adjustable ride height suspension. Is the new Bennie Sternum on the same level as other exotics- and is it really a cheap supercar worth looking at?

While obviously still looking a little rough around the edges, the Sternum definitely looks like a step in the right direction. I have huge respect for Bennie and I hope that his company gains more traction.
I mean we're comparing this to super/hypercars built by billionaires with 100+ years of production and evolution. If he continues to advance at the rate he is, I will not be surprised if he builds something really serious

The design isn’t good.
The second one does look better than the first one.
The look does have potential though.
If they gave that design to a couple of industrial art students and you told them to submit some progressive iterations on the design and then hired those guys to build a line of vehicles with a good look and some brand identity then they might have a viable product.

I do draw as a hobby. I have some of my drawings on my channel. There are mostly sci-fi motorcycle similar to what is in the Tron movie.
My critiques of this car, are comparison to other Kit cars and other home made cars of a similar value, including ones made of recycled scrap parts.
My critique of this car is that it has potential, but it is just not refined enough to make it look professional. It only has a backyard DIY amateur home built quality to it.
