Great playing!😊 You are amazing. I came for the Reface CP and stayed for the music. Watched all your videos now. You also made me order the keyboard and I’m waiting for it in the mail. Just gotta learn how to play it. I’m a guitarist who want to bring keys into my songwriting. I really like your playing and would love if you could make a short tutorial on how to play simple chords and melodies🙏👍
The YC is good fun too. Waggling the "drawbars" and turning the Leslie on and off while playing is as much fun as tweaking the filter and envelope while jamming on the CS. The YC drawbars are stepped unfortunately but I've learnt to move them between notes. So much better than a static organ patch on a ROMpler. The only real grumble is there's not enough audible difference between the vibrato and chorus settings.
That is the perfect Comping Efficiency machine. Yamaha outdid it with Reface. Hopefully will not be this jealous when it is my turn to learn arrangements.
next time im looking for how to use the reface in music production (ableton, FLstudio, any DAW or the midi DIN plug adapter/midi in general/ dawless recording, etc.) i will certainly not click on this video, and while everyone here has seem to gone mad with rhyhthm, doctor, i am on you to have a good day, sir.
Great video. The Refaces have so much mojo and the design choices are great. Okay, I'll admit the built-in speakers are a waste of space and the choice of the toy piano was bizarre when the world needs a proper upright piano (not the mangled grand piano ROMple typically foisted on us). A good Chappell upright sample would have sold zillions to Beatles fans.
Nice playing and accentuation, enjoy your videos, I am playing NE3 at the moment, how good do you rate the CP for a gigging musicians, I love the size of this thing and the sounds are cool, I really miss the delay on the Nord, most worried I am about the keys breaking off while playing, as it happened with my Mini Nova, your input is highly appreciated. Thanks
Thats true. He instead just had the keyboards connected to his audio interface (without telling us how he did this) and played it while recording it into his DAW simultaneously. So he left us sitting here helplessly without having a clue on what to do now. Probably some kind of clickbait. But at least we could enjoy these precious sounds.

Just got my Reface CP 7 yrs after this vid was made. Enjoyed it as usual. Drum styles sure have changed.
I can't believe it's still sell in the $400's
I had the scrunch face watching and listening to this. You are insanely funky!
HAHAHAHA!!! Thanks :-)
I completely forgot about the CP review! Man, you are so funky!!
Doctor Mix made me get one. Red organ version is next

Wow 😮, you can really make this thing sing!! Thank you for the demo. I’ve been looking for a good small keyboard for practice on the go.

I'm absolutely in love with this baby. Probably gonna get one in some time!
which cable did u use to connect reface to audio interface?
wtf?
love it. i hope i can be as good as you someday.
Is there any way I can record my cp as a midi signal rather than audio as you have here??
I'm sure I heard that staccato stab part from the end of Donna Summer's Macarthur Park? Superb demo.
do you have any funk or keyboard tutorials??
I wonder what kind of cables are those that you are using? Ts or Trs?
You must be channeling Eumir Deodato! Very nice.
Your base track sounds like the Master Ed Mota!
Is It possible to run a different instrument through it just to use the effects?
No not the fxs, just external audio through.
@@girlinagale for what purpose?
@@nym053 Not much.
@@girlinagale haha 😂
That was very Jamiroquoish👍
Inspiring
How is the Reface CP connected to the computer?
He's running the audio through an audio interface....if that's what you were wondering.
how do I connect to PC?
What genre is this?!!??
Muy caliente amigo!!
lol why is this so lit
what's the name of the backing track
What DAW are you using? did record your drums in real time?
Cubase, I programmed the drums live, by playing them with the keyboard.
funky
are you monitoring through the software ? your timing is specially great if so
How are you connecting your reface CP to the computer? Can you explain a little bit about your set up please?
Looks like both jacks into an interface, then interface into the computer
How long it takes to have such improvisation skill?
Hi, I do Skype Jazz, Blues and Funk improvising lessons. If you're interested send me a message. It won't take you long to be sounding great!
Less than 5 years of constant study

There is hidden grand piano in it

some tasty shizzle
Didn’t explain how to set the reface up for recording.

Is reface still good? Or is there better out there?
Still good
Nick Frequency You don’t recommend anything else ?
Nick Frequency how do you connect the CP to say an audio interface such as the behringer uphoria?
202roller with quarter inch audio jack cables
I would advise reading the manual on yamahas website
iI have the CP, the speakers distort,go to the Yamaha forum for proof, playing fast you don't notice it. They are crap, bad investment.
so, use a bluetooth speaker or headphones.. your loss
The built-in speakers are a waste of space but rarely used. Not enough of a problem to write-off the whole product.
