My NY Apartment Tour

- Hi all!
This is a tour of my very first NY apartment (rented) and my very first UA-cam video! It took me 5 months to fully furnish/decorate to my taste. It was a process as everything is so expensive here in NY. But I did enjoyed the process which is the most important of it all.
I feel very thankful for having a job that allows me to be a bit more independent and I am also very grateful towards my family who supported me in taking this big step of living by myself for the first time.

The one thing you should change in your kitchen is to unplug your small appliances. All of them have internal heating coils and will eventually short out and start a fire. Please only plug in when in use.

Cute place! Love your pillows and I would definitely at least add the back splash stick on tiles in the kitchen. Would be a nice touch. Just a tip - you have a very soft voice and there seems to be a lot of background noise in the audio, so I would advise you don't add too loud a music to your videos. I couldn't understand you at all in some instances. ;)

My house is only 930 square feet and I can never get all of the rooms tour ready at the same time. I love watching apartment tours for inspiration. I even watch tiny home videos although watching them always leaves me wondering, where do people put their clothes? Although I’m retired, I retained my extensive wardrobe of clothes, shoes, scarves, hats, etc. People in tiny houses seem to wear jeans, flannel shirts and boots. Do they ever dress up? Or is everyday casual day?

Hey luv I’m a new sub to ur channel. I really enjoyed ur appt tour. I never realized how something as simple as changing knobs can personalize and bring character to ur home. Very good idea. Ima have to use that one 🥰
The apt is light and bright and very clean. The floors are nice and the kitchen is nice and has a window and is a good width and I like the cabinets, light blue on bottom white on top.
I never understood people who say that they bought a couch and the first thing they say about it is "it is not the most comfortable." That is key for a couch. I get it though. Cute place.
Sonetimes a comfortable one is not affordable or doesn't fit .
Lots of time, people order their furniture so they are not aware of its discomfort until they receive it.
Also, just as the other commenter said, even tho its uncomfy, they won't return it if they're on a budget and just can't afford to purchase a better one. Folks get by on what they have until they can get what they want.🤷😉

What i never understood is the microwave above the kitchen. Doesnt it get burn or stained with grease???
@@melissaku8304 Hi. I have lived in two places with microwaves above the stove. Happy to report no burning or getting greasy. They also come with an extractor which I turn on if cooking heavier/greasier meals. When I clean, I just wipe it with some Lysol and that's it

I love your video!! I am looking to move to NYC soon and trying to get passed initial parameters with apartments have been a struggle but your apartment is so cute. I also LOVE your tea cup! I recognized it because I purchased one with the same style but different design from the Studio Ghibli booth at Comic Con last month! Mine is a Totoro themed tea cup. Same size. I have yet to use it, but I love it.

You've furnished and decorated your apartment really well to make a lovely and functional home. Yes it's expensive but unfortunately, that's to be expected in many big cities across the world. That said, yours is actually quite spacious, with a decent sized kitchen, compared to the many, many, many nyc apartments i've 'toured' vicariously!! 😊
I wish you every happiness in your home and with your YT ventures. As others have commented it was a shame that it was very difficult to hear you over the background 'noise' and music - so that maybe something to consider in the future- otherwise it was well filmed!

3 windows in bedromm NICE ...you get a nice cross breeze AND a bath window!!...actually you have windows in every room!!!
I have an old phone and unfortunately can't hear u !! Love ur space. I prefer a unique apartment over the typical luxury one. Perhaps get slip covers in white ?

Lovely apartment! I love that you have so many windows--even in the bathroom. I hate bathrooms with no ventilation, you know? You've decorated and furnished this so beautifully, too!
That's a very good price for your space. Are you in Manhattan or one of the outer boroughs? Do you happen to have a link to that fold up center/ coffee table? You did a really great job with the space and also filming your first video. Congrats to you and thanks for sharing!

Hi! Thanks!! I'm in Queens. The shop that used to sell the coffee table is actually unavailable at the moment per Etsy. The item was called "Modern Folding Low Floor Kidney Table" and it was sold by TARAZHOME shop. Hopefully they come back to business soon!

You decorated you apt really cute but 2200 for a 1bd no elevator/amenities in Queens is way too much. My apt is also 1bd right in front of the subway in Queens and no more than 1400.. You can def find something better
Yeah, I was confused about that too. I live in a pretty central part of Brooklyn (which I think is slightly more expensive than Queens) and pay 1600 for 1 bed in an elevator/laundry building
i don't get why people need a kettle to boil water. why not just fill a small pot with water & heat it on the stove like everyone else?? is it the humidity or heat generated by it?? just a thought.

Looking good is nice but most would rather have a comfortable home.imagine having to spend time in a place that is not compfortable.

I think you should maybe clear a bit your voice or maybe it’s a sound problem but yeah we can’t really hear you clearly too bad I liked the video otherwise

I’m sorry but this was very badly filmed. First, your hand keeps waving around in front of your camera. ANd second, what viewers want is a full shot of the whole place to see it, before you start. You didn’t do this very well.
