Trump shooter identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks

- Authorities have identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks as the gunman who shot at former president Donald Trump during a rally in Butler, Pa., on Saturday.
It is believed that Crooks was stationed on the roof top of a building on the perimeter of the rally. Crooks is from a town less than an hour away from Butler.
It’s still unknown how Crooks was able to climb on top of the roof with line of sight view of the former president. A motive has yet to be established.

That's not what registering for a party means. Prior to the general elections, the parties hold primaries to elect their party candidates. In some states those primaries are 'closed' and only registered party members can vote in those primaries.
You do not have to be registered to any party to vote in the general elections. (You'll see those people listed in polls as 'independents.')

He made several small donations to ActBlue and the Democrat National Committee and he also donated $15 to a Democrat group dedicated to "defending democracy" on Biden's inauguration day.
