Almost had my right pinky cut off when I was like 12. Some hockey players swerved way too close to me going fast as hell, that I lost balance and bumped into the dude in front of me as I was falling down, and the guy stepped backwards landing his blades on my hand. I was so cold and in shock that I didn’t even know I was bleeding till someone pointed it out. They had to shut down the rink to clean all the blood. The doctor told me that if it had been an adult size the blade would of cut my finger clean off. Gotta a pretty cool scare and story out of it though lol. Idk o shared this, but here you go.
Woahhh that’s wild. I hope you are okay. Honestly that’s why I always say safety first, just for specific reasons like that. I always wear elbow pads , knees pads and thick gloves.
Lol i never practiced the fall thing when i just started ice skating ( around a year ago ) and i fell onto the barrier and twisted my foor then i wasnt able to walk for around 3-4 weeks then i got back on the ice and now im here doing waltz jumps!
Oh my that really warms my heart 💜🤙🏽. You are very welcome. Feel free to comment or hit me up if you want any tips. I’ll be uploading some long form videos explaining how to ice skate.
@@ItsPetezz The top 3 brands that I know and used are Bauer, CCM and Tru. They all have really good skates that help support your feet/ comfort. I personally like Bauer but I use a different mechanism on the bottom of the skate called Tblades. A lot of freestyle ice skaters use them bc they’re lighter and sharper. Check out all 3 brands and if you want to peruse further customization check out Tblades. Quick Google search and you will find them 🤙🏽.
problems with public ice rinks is as follows: they give almost everyone hockey skates for casual skating. they dont tell people to make sure their skates are tight and tied properly. and thats all i can think of. my local ice rink has way too many kids and newbies falling either forward or backwards because of them giving them hockey skates. and almost every time i go theres someone getting hurt when they roll their ankle.
Thanks I wanna join my districts hockey team in HS so this helped so I can get good at skating and that will hopefully land my a larger chance at a spot on the team
Was my first time today with my gf and i only fell once and i learned pretty well with out an aid and now i can go pretty fast with out falling (i did almost fall alot)
Bro when me and friends go ice skating we thought it would be just be a walk in a park we all fell down when we stepped in i was the last to go in and i still fell

This is why I’m terrified of leaving the edge or being in a rink with to many people 😂
