Engineers in films always create such an interesting and sometimes dangerous invention
We do it in real life too ;) we just normally don’t use or release them to the public. I’ve written some pretty mean code that after showing my boss he said “Glad you’re on our side”. That was to a piece of ransomeware I wrote that bypassed all of our security policies internally and really there is not much we could do to prevent such an attack
I'm sure you did
@@robw4721 it’s excellent practice for code obfuscation. One kind of neat thing you can do to trick quite a few av is encode reversed strings in binary store them in an array with the binary as strings then further down in your powershell script you can reverse the process to access system files. It’s a really good way to to hide code. You can then use that to create a vb script that can disable (or rather attempt it’s really hit or miss) some basic av like windows defender. To kill something like Sophos is a lot more complicated but still possible depending on how the sys admin has it configured or miss configured. The reason there was nothing we could really do to protect against that particular attack our av doesn’t hit against anything written locally on the machine. So in theory an employee could run this at their station and it wouldn’t hit our antivirus unless it started reaching out of the network or it tried to create a reverse shell. But depending on what you’re trying to accomplish that could be just fine.
@@madkinggaming3744 That's honestly really cool. My nephew is learning to code. :)

Loop movies are amazing for several reasons. But the main reason is that you can understand that your whole life is basically a loop movie with slightly different options and deadlines. You can make every day a little bit better or worse, you can find a new wholesome routine.
I like to imagine that the entirety of existence is a loop, and after many repetitions, we will remember how to alter things so that we do it right next time. The only trouble is that those who arrive at the beginning are the prehistoric folks that went wandering through the savannah. They know precisely which caves to choose, which tribesmen will betray them, etc. and as time marches on with minor deviations, the ones that come later are only on their first run through because it's effectively their first time through. They are improvising and playing jazz on the outskirts of the timescape. There are a precious few whose bloodlines have been preserved with only minor deviations. They can make great choices based on their understanding, but the joy of life is in the imptovisation. They are effectively prisoners of their knowledge, watching and waiting for the known signs to erupt onto the scene.
There is tremendous joy when deviation is cast upon them, even when that deviation is apparent tragedy to those for whom the looping of time is completely obscure.
As millions of repetitions occur, time ossifies like a crystal, and the deeds of humans are made into a solid chain of events, with all actions taking place as though they are part of some Eons long absurd ritual written by Samuel Beckett, and celebrated by Nietzsche.
This guy is the simp of Simps. Seriously, the woman you thought you loved hired people to steal from you and works for the bad guys. Do you: A) neutralize her at the first given opportunity and then take care of the thieves or B) keep simping and acting like she didn't just get you into this whole mess.
This guy: B seems like the better choice!
I'm so glad that i don't have to watch the whole movie.
Thank you, I thought I was alone for hatting that woman and completely disagreeing with MC

Main character gets betrayed by Hannah several times. Main character: "MaYbE ThIs TiMe WiLl be DiFfErEnt."
You make even bad movies sound interesting
Most bad movies have good ideas but the way it is put together is what makes the movie bad, if all producers knew how to tell a story bad movies wouldn't exist
@Gorillaz troll It is very true lol, stop speaking on topics you have zero clue about.
So true
Robbie Amell does really good in these type of roles. Code 8 comes to mind as well -
Time loops were the reason that all of these things were keep happening with just some changes here and there..
The funny thing is that Renton and many others stayed alive because of those time loops..
That's kinda ironic..
"They wouldn't hurt anyone," says the woman, who's there for the express point of robbing him, and whose men have killed him repeatedly. What infuriates me about time loops in movies is the way the conscious characters never try to break the cycle. Like they don't realise doing to same things again, like the video record at the end being shot the same despite them knowing how it was made. Being conscious about a future event should influence the event itself.
Except everytime they go through the loop and do something different thinking they’re changing things they’re actually still doing something they’ve already done before. They have 9 different loops before it all resets along with their memory and starts another set of 9 loops. That’s why it shows that they’ve been through thousands of loops. So they don’t actually know about future events. They think they do but every change they make has already been done by them in the last 9 loops. They just don’t know that because their memory gets erased.
@@QnzColdest I think what OP meant is that instead of doing same things over and over again but just little bit better, MC should try something completely different, for example jump out of the window and break in into other room from outside or something.
Good example is that all of the loops have them willingly be tied to the chairs
@@dariusnoname12 yeah but my thought is that every time they think they’re trying something new they’re actually still doing something they’ve already done because they don’t have knowledge of every loop due to the fact there is a point where their memory is completely wiped. So it’s a bunch of loops within one main loop in which their memory is wiped at the end.
@@QnzColdest Exactly!

I liked the movie when I saw it. Crazy to think they've been at it for thousands of cycles, which is maybe 50-150 years real time. The war is over, society is gone.
Maybe every few hundred cycles, they make a little progress is changing the repeat.
If the war is over, then how does the robot keep being sent? And why would the TV still have news that says the war is on?
@@xxcryicesxxcryices3382 I think the robot was nearly at the home already, but it only gets sent in the last day, when the signal gets sent. The signal isn't sent in the other days.
@@gicking3898 Sonny called the robot in several of the loops.
@@xxcryicesxxcryices3382 this doesnt make any sense for me too. the robot is 100% outside the circle at the beginning. and dont they also communicate with people outside the circle with their radio?
At 9:43. Those look like solutions from quantum field theory based on Lagrangian dynamics. Which would make some sense since one of the interpretations of Feynman diagrams is that many particles are traveling backwards, in time, based on symmetry.

My theory is that the arq creates a black hole that at the same time every loop then turns into a white which spits out all the information it sucked in as a black hole causing the perception of a time loop. To outsiders it would probably just look like a distortion in space time.

Movie caps when somebody gets electicuted it means they died. You had me confused when you did he electicuted hannah and 2 mins later he's talking to her.
By definition, electrocuted is being injured or killed, by electric shock. People don’t always die when they’re electrocuted.
You can be electrocuted, and also you can be electrocuted to death. Same as burned, beat, fall, trip, poisoned, etc.
@@skaetur1 sorry as an electrician we never say electrocuted when someone gets a shock because that means dead
@@skaetur1 No its totally different.
Here's what wiki said:
Electrocution is death or severe injury by electric shock, electric current passing through the body. The word is derived from "electro" and "execution", but it is also used for accidental death.[1][2]
By severe injury they mean hospitalised and life considerably shortened. Electricity burns you from the inside out. I have had many shocks working on small power but never got electrocuted.

Just finished watching 'ARQ' on Netflix and I've learned alot of how time loops work. Time loops also happened in the MATRIX movie when the architect told Neo that the MATRIX is in the 6th iteration. Neo stopped the time loop by breaking the MATRIX and it unplugged everyone. Now about the time loop boundaries (distance radius of the loop to happen)... the movie ARQ revealed where the boundary location of the loop ends. It ends where everything is Petrified at the 'dome wall'...Kind of like the TV series THE DOME. And anything past that boundary is NOT affected by the time loop. This brings a point of WHY and WHERE is wood Petrified on EARTH. It's like EARTH is under a dome in real life and time looped. Deja Vous anybody?
Except the wood petrification process can take as little as 5000 years. Which is a short amount of time on a geological scale, no need for a time loop, lol.
