Awesome run! Be prepared to start replacing axles. Mine with the MGM on 12s broke 2 front axles. Also hit 76mph on pavement with an 18t pinion and it had more in it. You're absolutely right that this thing is a dangerous beast!
Yeah buddy. I think the pin is replaceable on it so I’ll fix that and get the Vitavon axles when they are available.

Man I want a DBXLE so bad man. Yours is super nice bro great job💯I want to suggest you go down to your local fastenal and get hardened pins you can press in the axles. This is what I did with my EMaxx that kept shredding pins from the power of the castle system.
I cut a drill bit and made a new pin. I have no idea if it will last or not.
@@ExocagedRC I can get you a part # for the pins that would fit and work. I think they are something crazy like a 2500lb tensile strength or more. I’m an industrial maintenance tech so I have access to quite a bit of unusual hardware through our hardware supplier. I’ll comment this week once I’m back at work and have a part #

Joe, try some Loctite 638 retaining compound on the pins. Had a problem with a few pins on my Sledge and the Loctite solved it.
Good point when you say 'be carefull'. These are machines, and when you tune them, they are dangerous machines. On several occasions, i have seen people driving insanely fast rc's on grass fields like the one in this video, but with kids around, people, and i asked about fail-safe and never got a response. I have a Fireteam and it's quite heavy and quite fast, and i don't even know if it will stop when i lose connection. Do you have intel about this?
Buddy I’m always super cautious with these big fast machines. The vast majority of the time the trucks simply go to a neutral setting. I haven’t messed with it yet to test but take the wheels off and drive it on a table then turn off the transmitter and see.

One guy on UA-cam hit 90 something on the salt flats withe the same rig and set up. Not sure the gearing. Was 92 I believe. Freaking crazy for a 1/5 off road

I think the GPS was stuck on that second run. Just because that point 1 should have been a different number. Because of the different variables of the ground
It was reading the peak speed and it seems I didn’t exceed the 66.1 to make it go higher. But yeah it looked faster to me as well
I just got one of these used. Had the aluminum motor mounts etc. MAX4 560kv! I think it’s geared 22 or 22 tooth? Came with a box of gears.
What do you recommend I use for steering arm etc when replacing the servo? Putting a savox monster in it.

I just put a max 4 in my Limitless and have been snapping stuff off ever since. But I'll just keep replacing parts until it don't break again. My temps stay so low also. My Castle equipment would always be smoking hot then burn my car up😡
Had the same thing with my Hitec 845 servos. They don’t get along with AVC at all in my experience! I ended up disabling the avc completely. (not just turning it down) I’m betting you’re running the 6100at receiver? The google instructed me how to disable! I would gladly trade all my avc receivers for sr515’s

Have u looked into MIP cvd axle pins? The old, rc10T3ft had cvd pin problems when we raced. MIP came out with a kit that had .003 oversized pins u put in that NEVER broke nor came out.
Maybe something to hit Vitavon up on IF mip isnt available anymore 🤷.

What gearing????? I just put this combo in with 25/50 and the front tires ballooned way too bad (badland mx43 beadlocks). I saw people said 2:1 was way conservative. I just put a saga 30t pinion with the stock 50t Spur and emptied diff from stock 50k and filled it with 500k. I’m not sure what to expect, waiting for loctite to dry 😂

probably anything that gives a 1-1 ratio but that will be a lot of amps on an amp hungry vehicle.

If the esc can do it, the 650 is potentially faster than this. It’s higher kv
