@AlexanderMills Just seen this...your cover...for the first time. Just cryed so deeply and powerfully from the deepest purest parts of my soul. So so so beautiful man. Thank you for gifting the world with this amazing peice of soul and feeling. Absolutely loved this. Just wanted to let you know
Haha. I hope so. They are pretty chill I think. It’s kind of a dog park they just come out intermittently and walk their dog around and go back inside. I’m the only noisey one so I hope they don’t mind a haha.
I covered this song before years ago as a street musician and had all but forgotten my life then as things have changed so much for me and I now have a wife, 3 kids, mortgage, and a full time job. This brought it all rushing back to me and gave me chills (in a good way!). I picked up my acoustic and played this for my wife and youngest daughter after watching this video. Prior to that, it had been a year or more since I touched my guitars. I broke down half way through out of sheer joy, so of course they did, too. We all laugh-cried like babies and didn't need to say a word about it because it was understood. Dude, I guess I am saying you inspired me to pick it back up and everyone in my home is beyond happy because I lost sight of something that I once believed I couldn't live without, and now because of you I have found it and I feel that joy again and want to share it with my family. You absolutely nailed this cover and put just enough of you in it to make it yours without taking the song's identity. It's hard to do that, so kudos. You're a pro and and real talent. Thank you so much for sharing it, and for what you have given me back. I am indebted to you. (Edit: Sorry if this post is too long and way too sappy 😁)
Wow what a heartfelt comment! I'm sorry I took so long to respond to this. I also have a wife and 3 kids so I understand how hard it is to get back to music and to find time. Just want to say I'm proud of you and happy that this video inspired you take back your instrument and play. When your kids are older they will remember all the times that you played and sang for them. Memories live forever man. Much love to you and all credit goes to Radiohead and Thom Yorke for writing such a beautiful song to begin with.
Update: 2 years later and I am still playing every day! I play solo open mics a couple times a month and shows with my band about once a month. Thanks for the likes and comments, and all the moral support. Most of all, thanks Alexander for giving me the nudge I needed. I cannot imagine my life without music now.
I joined a band right before Covid. It’s the most fun I’ve ever had. But we’re in our 50s and hard to find gigs now a days. Bars all want to see your social media presence😂. And we have none
Today is Sunday. Last Sunday my heart got broken by a girl, who I didn't even like romantically. It was less of a heartbreak and more of me losing someone I valued a lot. Or rather, maybe I never lost her, because she never cared about me the way I cared about her. This week has been one of the worst of my entire life. Just when I thought It was all getting better, just when I thought I finally was going somewhere, this happened. Monday, I found this video. I love radiohead, a lot. At a time when everyone around me is thriving, I find my quixotic self destroying myself by setting expectations of people too high. And this is one of my favorite songs. I wanted to thank you for this. Yes, I cried to it a few times, but its still been on repeat for all 7 days of the week. That voice is so angelic, and just the vibe that this video gives off, its sad, but comforting in a sense. For me, I think now I realise that only when sadness exists, will we value happiness. I am sad. But I'll get better. And for me this song is about that. It's about coming to that self realisation that the quest for love that some people have is nothing but draining and unnecessary. I miss my friend. And still I value her choice to keep me out of her life. idk what im saying, but thanks for this song.
Hang in there! Life is strewn with peaks and valleys and at particular time you might feel like you’re in a valley. It’s gonna take time but you will reach your peak again. I’ve been struggling a bit myself but as long as you still find value and see beauty in art and music it means that your soul is still intact. Your spirit isn’t broken yet. You can rebound. Much love my friend and thanks for watching and sharing your feelings. This is a safe space 🫶🏾
I was just going letting UA-cam take the wheel while I tried to drift asleep. This came on while my eyes were closed. I had to get up and watch you play once I heard you sing. The passion in this cover is so raw and human. It’s truly ethereal. You did a fantastic job. I’m so glad I stumbled across this while still conscious and awake. Bravo, brother. This is so awesome.
I used to watch you play this at the Oxford 152 every Sunday afternoon. I loved it and hearing this again now reminds me of those days with great fondness!
Alexander Mills I’m living in Melbourne now in the Brunswick area. Unfortunately the pandemic has shut everything down here and I’m not able to visit any pubs or see any live music like I did in Bulimba last year. If I’m ever up there in Brisbane again I’ll be sure to pop into the Oxford to have a beer and hopefully see you again sometime.
My heart, bro. You’re amazing, don’t forget that. Radiohead is my favorite band, and I don’t usually approve of many covers of their songs. But you..whoa. 🤯
That is the single best cover of that song....no question about it. Wish I could pay this guy to cover paranoid android...I can't imagine how good it would be.
I was doing my OE when this was released. I listened to the album via a “Walkman” the whole European summer that year. You did a stellar cover my friend, much respect 👍👏🙏

I confess my undying love to everything Thom Yorke touches except Pablo honey and most , not all the time but most times the bends . This genuine gem has given me reason to fall back into the arms of the bends without trepidation. Thank you 🙏
Thom had and has a lot of experimental records. It feels to me that wherever the music takes him he stays there in that vibe and that mojo and sometimes that can be a weird place where the masses don’t usually vibe with. That being said I think we all know that without songs like Creep and Karma Police they wouldn’t be where they are now. I’m starting to unpack ‘In Rainbows’. The whole album has aged really well since it came out. Didn’t really get it at first. Seems to me that the band is ahead of the curve or maybe new bands are drawing inspiration from Radiohead and that’s why a lot of the sounds seem to not sound weird anymore. I dunno, that’s just my take. Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
