This video is so cool, thanks for uploading it :D
such an eerie looking appliance just sitting next to a water tank on the side of a quiet street, i love the camera you are using
You made such an awesome video out of this!
@@rogan4280 since when could you buy fiberglass buckets 2 feet in diameter?
Best intro to a siren video goes to...
You probably could've flown the drone into the siren heads itself. lol
Land it in the cone before it goes off. Lol. Let it sit in there and rotate around.
Best siren video ever. 🤯
Bucket siren!
P50 and did you know the p is that standa for something I forgot the name :/
Great aerial view and video of the P-50.
RIP Nujabes...
Giant bucket on a pole :v sorry to say that to my favorite siren
P50 is the only siren I hear in my state :o! Edit: when it tests I never witnessed a tornado in my entire life
That sent chills down my spine. 😃
excellent video!
Darn, P50's are giant
That was pretty good! Good syncing the drone video with the audio. Clean recording too. Hey, I wonder what the wind load factor is on that skinny pole. Looks to me like a wind of over 60MPH would land that baby in the street!
World's loudest bucket. Lol.
Godddd the P-50’s can throw some sound out
@@MonkeyFilmProductions do you have any idea how big it is? I've heard an average sized person can comfortable lay down in one
SweatyDrxco I think the front of the horn is like.... 3 feet in diameter? I could be wrong. But the P-50 is huge.
The reason why bees were coming out is probably because there was a beehive in the siren
If the screen wasn't in the horn, an entire full sized man could stand up in the horn. I saw an old ACA advertising picture of a guy standing in the horn of one of these things. And these are not capable of battery backup because of the massive amount of current needed to power that massive 50 horsepower motor. So if the power ever goes out, then this siren will not work. But these are awesome for the fact that their sound really travels farther than most sirens made today.
I saw this one! I wonder if they still test the Alertor in Hurst!
Everybody gangsta until the siren stops and looks at you dead in the eye saying come to Brazil
Cool vid, also what are those controls?
Are they the actual ACA manufactured controls rather than an ar timer?
Great P-50 siren video footage. Is this old siren still being used today? If yes, it's one of the last remaining P-50 sirens still in service in the entire Dallas / Ft Worth area. I would guess that this siren uses 3 phase 480 VOLT power since it draws a lot of current, and it has one of the loudest sound outputs, along with a Thunderbolt siren. I noticed at 1:35 the siren looks like it is mounted on the same utility pole as the overhead power lines, but that would technically not be allowed by the electric utility company. Bedford and Rockwall both had a P-50 at one time, but retired them in the past few years. The last P-50 sirens were manufactured probably around 1988, along with the ACA Alerter 125 siren by the same company. Hope Hurst still has their ACA 125 sirens up and in use. I filmed one of them in 2012.
Yes this siren is still used today. Bedford still has their p50 and hurst still test their allertors on a regular basis
@@JASirens Thank you for letting me know. I hope to get the time to film my version of these vintage sirens. My videos are not as spectacular as yours, but I feel like I owe it to all of you to post the videos I make. Again, I appreciate the video content you share, as do many other siren enthusiasts.
@@wadessirenvideos6750 sadly as of July 5th, 2022 the siren went inactive, and the low pitch one at Booth Pl was replaced by a Whelen Vortex R4.
ACA P50 is the Dodge Challenger of sirens.
When did you grab this test?! Awesome vid by the way!
Thanks! The first capture was on Sep 5 and the drone was on Dec 5 (they only test once a month)
Huh I didn't know NRH had a p50. I lived in the area for a 15 years and had no idea x.x
well, they're deaf bees now.
I would be scared to fly a drone near a siren.. because maybe the frequencies would mess with the drone??
The sound of the engine
Damn that siren is soooo huge bro. Besides Chrysler siren, is there a siren bigger than this??
Holy lord I actually underestimated just how large p50s are.
richland hills when giant siren on a pole malfunctions once: lmao bye bye siren.
Actually being serious though the 2 p50s in richland hills were supposed to be good until 2030. but then they malfunctioned once last year due to a equipment issue and instead of fixing or getting new equipment richland hills FD said: these sirens bad new sirens needed now lmao.
@@JASirens I know and it sucks p50 sirens are the best and is one of the loudest sirens in the world 2nd one to
If you're brave enough you can land your drone inside the siren while it's rotating! I'm sure that we all gonna love to see that.
Looks healthy
It really sounds like
That takes a minute to wind down. As I wrote down the device went down 🤔
the property value of the house down below just dropped by 5 thousand
What makes this video so great is the old style rap instremental in the begging, kinda sucks that its copyright claimed, if not then I'd use it too
are you using a mavic zoom?
Worlds loudest trash can
This would be a P-50 since the rotator stops immediately on the rundown / wind down.
You should land the drone on top of it while it is testing
It takes long for it to turn off
Wait was that on booth pl????? And I’m pretty sure they moved the siren
Actually this alarm is called a p50 it's a bucket on a pole it's actually is
Is it still there or got replaced
Btw we used to have thunderbolts we're I live but it got replaced by a 2001-130 I think that's the siren name of the new one.
Unfortunately It has been replaced by a Whelen vortex in 2020 as of 2024.
whelen and telegrafia 10/10
7:40 GET OUTTA MEH FACE DRONE!
Everytime in bsp siren madness they call p50 barf bucket

Itwas funny how on one of the wails it was like turning a vacuum on and quickly off like itwas mad lol. Edit also how did he reach all the way up to its horn thats 😎 🆒️ 😎 🆒️ 😎 like that must of broke you ears
This is how many times it did that on off vacuum thing

Bucket
P-50 not t-135
@MrLazyBones T-135'S Have stickers and rotate even when the chopper is off, but P-50's Only rotate when the chopper is on, and don't have stickers.
@@CazicTheProtogen Yes and there are RM 135 s as well wchich have 90s stickers and there rotator dont stop either

Man it’s gotta suck living in one of the houses right down the street there
Fifthcell I would love to be neighbors with a P-50
Wow! I looked on google maps at that neighborhood and there’s a house right across the street from it! P-50s are super loud close up too!
