Drone - ACA P-50 / T-135 Siren Test - Richland Hills, TX
Переглядів 210 тис.6 років тому
Here're two videos shot of an ACA P-50/T-135 in Richland Hills (not to be confused with North Richland Hills), TX, just east of Fort Worth. The first sequence was shot with a Canon Mark II 5d using the built in microphone and the second with a Dji Mavic Drone. I used a Neumann TLM 102 Condenser Microphone for the second recording that was positioned off to the right of the drone's perspective (...

This is a Thunderbolt located in Cedar Hill, TX under the Kingswood Water Tower. It's tested the first Wednesday of the month at 2:00pm. Sorry the video is so overexposed, we were really late and ran up to the siren about 10 seconds before it went off, not giving me really any time to mess with my camera settings. The T-128 adjacent to it is unfortunately its replacement, and should take over t...
HD - Thunderbolt 1000T Siren Test - Cedar Hill, TX - Fire Station 212
Переглядів 103 тис.11 років тому
These are two videos I shot of the station 212 Thunderbolt on July 3rd, 2013. They test it the first Wednesday of the month at 2:00pm. Sorry if the sound is a bit distorted, the siren did a pretty effortless job of overloading my camera's microphone :) The first video was shot with a Canon EOS 5d Mark II, and the second with my handy dandy iPhone. Enjoy!
🫵🏿🙂👍🏿
Sadly it got replaced with a Whelen
Be thankful they are still in service one day it may save your life Tech will not save you if its the first thing to go theses will not
Hahaha yeah bucket siren!!!!!!!

Holy lord I actually underestimated just how large p50s are.
Unfortunately the siren was replaced with a wheelen vortex r4
richland hills when giant siren on a pole malfunctions once: lmao bye bye siren. Actually being serious though the 2 p50s in richland hills were supposed to be good until 2030. but then they malfunctioned once last year due to a equipment issue and instead of fixing or getting new equipment richland hills FD said: these sirens bad new sirens needed now lmao.
@@JASirens I know and it sucks p50 sirens are the best and is one of the loudest sirens in the world 2nd one to
@@JASirens wish they kept them for emergency back up
@@JASirens how did you know about that?
ACA P50 is the Dodge Challenger of sirens.
Damn that siren is soooo huge bro. Besides Chrysler siren, is there a siren bigger than this??
Sadly this siren was replaced as of July 28th, 2022
By a POS
That sent chills down my spine. 😃
Wait was that on booth pl????? And I’m pretty sure they moved the siren
They dont have those in Arizona. In fact all that is in Arizona is heat.
Great P-50 siren video footage. Is this old siren still being used today? If yes, it's one of the last remaining P-50 sirens still in service in the entire Dallas / Ft Worth area. I would guess that this siren uses 3 phase 480 VOLT power since it draws a lot of current, and it has one of the loudest sound outputs, along with a Thunderbolt siren. I noticed at 1:35 the siren looks like it is mounted on the same utility pole as the overhead power lines, but that would technically not be allowed by the electric utility company. Bedford and Rockwall both had a P-50 at one time, but retired them in the past few years. The last P-50 sirens were manufactured probably around 1988, along with the ACA Alerter 125 siren by the same company. Hope Hurst still has their ACA 125 sirens up and in use. I filmed one of them in 2012.
Yes this siren is still used today. Bedford still has their p50 and hurst still test their allertors on a regular basis
@@JASirens Thank you for letting me know. I hope to get the time to film my version of these vintage sirens. My videos are not as spectacular as yours, but I feel like I owe it to all of you to post the videos I make. Again, I appreciate the video content you share, as do many other siren enthusiasts.
@@wadessirenvideos6750 sadly as of July 5th, 2022 the siren went inactive, and the low pitch one at Booth Pl was replaced by a Whelen Vortex R4.
@@owensanders7432now both sirens are replaced
DeSoto also has a yellow P-50 but recently one captured it and it failed 😢
😱 if me gkdj did you Yu!
This would be a P-50 since the rotator stops immediately on the rundown / wind down.
well, they're deaf bees now.
This siren was replaced
t-128
I know there's a thunderbolt 1003 in Stevenson Washington at the fire station I'm not sure if it is active still. if it is still active, I'm going to go see it and take a video of it...
I feel like thunderbolt sirens just really feel like a good siren to have at a fire station...
I live in texas and I NEED A VIDEO OF THIS
We're is the location of this siren I live in NRH like what street
2924 Spruce Park Dr, Richland Hills, TX 76118
If you're brave enough you can land your drone inside the siren while it's rotating! I'm sure that we all gonna love to see that.
is it Still There ?
No :(
I hope someone calls P-50 bad name will arrested
Uhh why is it rotating backwards?
Cause it's not reverse wired.
are you using a mavic zoom?
Yo there were 🅱️ees in that siren?👀
Fucker looks like a damn KFC bucket
Worlds loudest trash can
Thunderbolt sirens are rare?
Nope
Itwas funny how on one of the wails it was like turning a vacuum on and quickly off like itwas mad lol. Edit also how did he reach all the way up to its horn thats 😎 🆒️ 😎 🆒️ 😎 like that must of broke you ears This is how many times it did that on off vacuum thing ☢⬇️☢
I see
Everybody gangsta until the siren stops and looks at you dead in the eye saying come to Brazil
That’s some damm good editing
Yep
Agreed
If the screen wasn't in the horn, an entire full sized man could stand up in the horn. I saw an old ACA advertising picture of a guy standing in the horn of one of these things. And these are not capable of battery backup because of the massive amount of current needed to power that massive 50 horsepower motor. So if the power ever goes out, then this siren will not work. But these are awesome for the fact that their sound really travels farther than most sirens made today.
It takes long for it to turn off
And even the engine of the siren is loud
It really sounds like
The sound of the engine
Actually this alarm is called a p50 it's a bucket on a pole it's actually is
It's not really an alarm. It's a siren.
was replaced with a t-128
I saw this one! I wonder if they still test the Alertor in Hurst!
That was pretty good! Good syncing the drone video with the audio. Clean recording too. Hey, I wonder what the wind load factor is on that skinny pole. Looks to me like a wind of over 60MPH would land that baby in the street!
Everytime in bsp siren madness they call p50 barf bucket
R.I.P Thunderbolt 1000T :(
