Back in the day this town used to evoke me a sense of calmness and peace, the way this town was always lightened like a sunset and this pretty chill song was made me feel really chill and relaxed
I remember playing this game when I was 12 or 13, it was the japanese version so I didnt understand nothing what was happening or where I was supposed to go so I keep walking in this town with the ninja girl (I didnt knew her name at the time) just listening this song, good times!
For me, this was my second Ganbare Goemon game, but I'm American so for me it was the "2nd mystical ninja game". I had what I believe is the 4th one for super Nintendo. To my surprise, they weren't "Kid Ying and Dr. Yang" anymore but she was still atleast Ninja Women Yae. You don't get to play as her in my super Nintendo version so I remember running around with her a lot in this area. That little robot dude was cool too in the snes game. He's a boss you fight and you never become friends In that game.
# A nice day outside today, a slight breeze comming off the ocean. White clouds & blue sky and a nice bright sun. Just hanging out in Zazen Town, having Dumplings & Sake in the local Tea House with Omitsu. Tonight she and I will go watch the fireworks. Life is good. ! :-)
the world would be a better place today if we had gotten a new goemon game or two every generation of consoles. no other series quite nails that quaintly poignant epic japanese feeling.
I remember needing my brother to beat the giant robot part of the game just so I could hang around this town and daydream living in it lol, used to make him crazy when I'd accidentally delete my file and need him to fight it again for me 😏
Aidan Villegas Goemon's Great Adventure is my all time favorite and I am 53. The music on both are great. I actually found all the fortune cats too. There are several weird glitches for The first 64 Goemon, Google them, they are crazy. I used Sasuke & jetpack to get over a fence next to the ocean and turn into Yea and swam down under the water until I fell out of the air that was under the water( if you go too deep)...WEIRD !!! Stand on the sign at Edo castle , face the door you came in and jump...WOW!!!
+Joe Yocom Hey, sorry I took so long in replying! I've never heard of those glitches, so I'm excited to try them out when I get the chance now. And Goemon's Great Adventure is my all time favorite as well! It makes me happy to know there are other people out there who appreciate how great of a game it is
Aidan Villegas You can swim under the dirt bottom and you will be swimming in air, but do not go very deep in the air below the water, or you will fall. I know that sounds crazy but so is the glitch.

For me, this song is a symbol of a quiet, socially stable Japanese country village where life goes on in the same way it has for the past 50 years.
Very beautifully put. I like to sit on my porch and absorb the surrounding neighborhood to this song.

Aidan Villegas There are sites that tell you about the glitches but I found the one with the fence and water on my own.
