@@GoodWorksTractors hay I just saw it. Thought it was pretty cool. Wish I had the land and equipment to work on and with. Be interesting to see how you handle the hill and the water. I just have that 1025r with a grapple and the loader bucket. Backhoe too. Have been using all three on my little wood clearing projects at home. I see you pushing that big tree around. I NEED MORE POWER! Still fun and sure beats doing everything by hand. Amazing your camera still works!

Watching quality workers here on UA-cam is a great way to see the how to on a lot of things. It is very important to know that after watching you have the concept of how but not the experience always go cautiously into unknown territory. I do small scale land clearing and I've learned so much on how to fell bigger timber and live it when I get it right. Keep up the great videos and always progress with bigger better jobs😀👍
Great videoing Chris! Courtney, be careful grabbing vines with that grapple and taking off…did that last summer with mine…let’s just say I was glad I was wearing a hard hat! They don’t break and they bring friends down with them! 😁😁
I must say I'm envious Courtney. I look at your ground "through the camera" and I see nice relatively smooth rolling ground with a distinct lack of rocks compared to here and I just think if my ground was like that how much easier it would be. I'm not saying you have it easy, you have a lot of work but not rocks showing every couple of square feet with sudden granite outcrops & drop-offs. Nice video.
Hey Courtney. This is a great project. The skidsteer is a great tool. I may rent one for a weekend here to help blaze my trail I've been pickin at with the 1025R and the BC. Thanks for sharing!
@@GoodWorksTractors same as I have done. You'll appreciate it even more when its improving efficiency. Just like my business. Started with a push mower and electric weedeater lol
My Lake Property is very similar here in S Central Alaska. No way a tractor will do as well as a Skid Steer on tracks on soft ground. You have the right tool for the Job.
Looks like a good application for a front mounted york rake on the tractor. Push everything out of the way so you’re not running over it and risking a tip over.
A mulching attachment may work better on the small trees. I recently had someone clear a driveway and small clearing on my land with one. Mostly new growth hardwoods, but he even took down some ~8 inch oaks with it as well. A 250 ft driveway and 60x120 clearing took a day and a half (in the winter with no leaves). He used a Kubota SVLl 97-2 with a BK7618 mulching attachment.
Yeah, I've done quite a few videos with my mulcher. However, they are extremely expensive tools and not in the budget for most. So, showing other ways to tackle projects with exponentially cheaper options. However, it's hard to beat a mulcher head.
@@GoodWorksTractors Makes sense! I definitely appreciate you showing all the different methods and pros/cons of the various tools. I learned something new in every video, and they're fun to watch!
Great video. I just started a similar path in wisconsin but unfortunately don't have the same equipment and am doing most of it by hand and chainsaws. Your way is much quicker!
The absolute best way we've found to clear overgrowth is with a Brush Mulcher attachment from Baumalight. But those things ain't cheap! We've got a few videos demonstrating how awesome they are: ua-cam.com/video/4jNt3K61pmg/v-deo.html and they're available for sale here: www.goodworkstractors.com/product/baumalight-brush-mulcher/
EXCAVATOR! Really, it's kind of a myth that tractors, being lighter, have less ground pressure than a heavier track machine. Tractors express all their weight on four relatively small points. A track machine spreads their weight over lots more square inches. Think of a snowshoe.
Yeah, but tractors are much lighter than a tired skid steer. We just sunk down into the mud here all the time with the wheeled machine. Best thing I did was trade it in on a track steer. World of difference.

70 on Thursday, back to nearly winter on Monday. Gotta love early spring in Michigan.
Haha, yeah, choose your days wisely this time of year!
Between your skid steer, excavator and tractor you have all the tools needed to get your road done. Great work and enjoy

Glad you mentioned Andrew camerata. He’s so dang funny and productive! Great UA-camr
That was a big project done fast! The Skid steer is a nice compliment to having a tractor. Nice!
My favorite kind of video. I could watch this for hours ☺️
Nothing like a good piece of equipment to do the job. Seems like you were having fun. Looking forward to the next project.

Oh, I know what you mean. I kept looking up to see what was going on. I need to get a forestry cage.
That was a great day in the skid steer not for the cameras 😉😂😂. You have a beautiful property Courtney 👍🏻, great video 🙋🏼♂️🙂👍🏻
Haha, no kidding...that was a rough one for the camera crew 😂

It really is, get one with tracks unless your ground is really hard. I wouldn't have even tried this hill with tires.
Yes tracked skidsteer is the way to go

I like the split screen. It would be a nice bonus if you could describe the vegetation you are working through. Any poison ivy, for example.
Love a grapple!
Me too!
Hello. Have you done any videos with a mulcher attachment for this style machine?
Time for the Baumalight mulcher on that trac machine.
Look at that ice still out on the edge of the lake..
I have almost 200 acres full a big sage brush what do you think would be the best way to clear it ?

Do you sell tree pullers and if you do what type ?
👍🔥
Have a good one!
Where's your Forestry Mulcher....
Oh, still have that, but I like to show folks different tools to accomplish projects.
Sounds like you disabled the beep-beep backup alarm. While those have their places, they are SERIOUSLY annoying when you're working by yourself.
M+M "HYDRA-RAKE" WOULD BE MY CHOICE. NOW MADE BY WEBER MFG, COFFEYVILLE KS. BEEN USING ONE FOR ABOUT 15 YEARS.
Wow had an ad interrupt an ad.
Mind blowing!
