I’m in love with the stunning buildings, homes and city. What a beautiful place! One of the most beautiful of the Camino Frances and I love the sound of the Coo Coo bird at the beginning of the video. Amazing video as usual!!!
What a magic tour the country side looks Just perfect the villages are just spot on I could easily sit at those places and eat and drink the day away. Tx for sharing
We stayed at the associated Rural Casa at the other end of the village. However, we had to walk down to the Albergue for dinner and back to the Casa for bed! Then back down for breakfast. 😂
Didn't realise they had a Casa Rural. That's a bit of a trek up and down for meals. We had the a la carte Menu in the dining room at the back which was very nice, and hanging out on that big patio with a gorgeous view is worth staying there.
We walked from Foncebadon to Ponferrada in November and it was a totally different experience, there was snow and snow melting all the way down from Cruz de ferro, we had pretty wet feet by the time we reached Molinaseca but we enjoyed it nonetheless.
I will never stay in that albergue in El Acebo again. The women were all squished into a small room, no place for packs, with dirty sheets and we had to go way down the hall and up and down flight of steps just to go to the WC. Guys have it easier with a WC right by their dorm room. No thanks. That Ermita was really pretty inside. One of the young, local ladies had lit candles
I think they do have rubber tips. But some tips are quite hard plastic and still make a clacking sound, or it could be from the joints/clips of the poles. But Yes, I know what you mean. The other thing to watch out for, is that as the rubber tips wear down, the metal tip can poke through. I always carry a spare set of rubber tips.
The final day of my short walk on the Camino Frances, before a rest day and heading off on the Camino Invierno.

I've found myself looking at the prices of Real Estate in that area. More than once! 😉

"I could easily sit at those places and eat and drink the day away" Hot tip. Allow some time to do that when you feel like it 😉

The view must have been amazing!
@@robscamino They were but the trails were like rivers so it was a bit more of a challenge 💪

Oh, sorry to hear that. Our room was mixed gender, but I didn't realise the women's bathroom was harder to get to.
@@robscamino I was shocked that such a huge place didn't have a WC for us that was convenient.
@@frankfurtonfoottours2361 Yes. That's not good at all!
The clacking of those poles without rubber tips would annoy me. I would be forced to get away from someone using them like that very quickly.
