@KoiWholesale was just curious and hopeful that someone like me could possibly (i know the chances are slim) score a great fish at a culls price lol a girl can hope lol 😂❤
It's not that they're not good just not what I want to raise further at that moment. Some are sold, if it's colour has failed or it's deformed they go in some natural ponds that we have.
No is the simple answer to that one. The business isn’t built for it and I have too much respect for all of the dealers I work with. I’m curious to know what benefits you see there being to dealing with my directly over using one of the dealers I supply?
Im curious.. ive noticed some koi (sanke, showa etc) should have white faces but they look peach colored. I honestly do NOT like the looks of that. Do you know if thats a food related thing or if its genetic? If its food related that means its correctable right? Im asking about this because Im on the hunt for a nice Isa showa and a couple isa tosai i like have the peachish colored faces..
It can be common in young fish, color food will create it also. Male fish naturally have this yellow colour more than female which is hard to get rid of. A good shiroji conditioning program should improve it.
Fantastic koi love watching your selection process looking forward to your next selection of these showa
They certainly are. I anticipate the next selection being late April to early May.
Beautiful showa have nice motogoro on pins
Thanks for watching.
Always a great watch these videos cheers Ricky 👍
Thanks.
Thank you for your video. I find it very informative. Thanks☺️ You’re clearly really experience and know your stuff
Thank you!
Great video some cracking koi...
Thank you.
Fab video love how quick you eye what you like & want and there are still some cracking fish . Very much hoping my local dealer will have some!!
With a 1000 koi to get through I can’t hang about 😁. Have a chat with them I’m sure they’ll be able to help.
Great content again Ricky and some amazing quality showa mate.👍👌
Thank you.
Some really nice showa tosai you got there. I like dainichi esoecially once they reach sansai. With isa , we get to enjoy it earlier
Have u tried saki Hikari Balance R? I find it gives better results than Saki Growth for tosai. Both great pellet
Yes patience is needed with Dainichi but worth the wait.
No I haven’t only Balance but I like a high fat content for gaining volume and growth which is why I choose Saki Growth.
Love ur streams ❤️
Thanks.
Ricky its again amazing that you take us on your journey! Keep it simple!
Thank you, it’s a pleasure to share.
Ricky, I love your work! Do you ship to the US?
nice
Thanks.
Evening Ricky great content as usual .
For a future video could we see some of your most valuable bigger pieces?
Certainly we’ll look at some shorter appreciation videos for stuff like that.
Would be interesting to know.. have they ever passed on a koi and then seen it afterwards and regretted not selecting/keeping it?
It will have happened for sure but we all learn it’s a part of the game and come to accept it.

what do you do with the ones that aren’t good?

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Another great video Ricky - some lovely examples - what size are you hoping to achieve when they are finishing their growth stage ? 45 to 50cm ?
I think that is a realistic size by the end of the normal growing season given where they are currently at.
Hi mate will you ever sell to the public direct
