You do not need to apologize for how you do your makeup. Do whatever is fun for you! Plus, many “professionals” in the beauty community use their fingers to swatch shadows with their fingers because it picks up more pigment. So it would make sense that using your fingers would give you a better payoff for your eyeshadow. You just found the most efficient way to do things. Love the video! My sister works at an ulta and she is a huge childhood Pokémon fan but she said her store only got in the palette. But she totally got it and loves it. I feel like as long as you are having fun with it that’s what’s important there’s too much emphasis now a days on making sure makeup is done /looks a certain way and it takes the creativity and fun out of it. It also kinda makes makeup seem exclusive like if you can’t / don’t do it a certain way then you shouldn’t use makeup. You showing your way of doing it makes it feel like using makeup doesn’t have to be exclusive and you just seemed so happy doing it that I think that’s better advertising for a brand then just using professionals. I don’t use makeup and your enthusiasm and excitement made me curious about this collaboration
Knowing how to do it perfectly would take waaaaay too much time LOL. I like quick makeup looks, like no more than 10-15 minutes. If it takes an hour, it’s too excessive 🤣 totally just my opinion. I think some of the makeup channels have beautiful looks but I agree, it sounds like only people like that should wear it but I say nay. Get some, have a blast!
The Poke Ball lip mask is so nice! I have perpetually chapped lips so that is my fave. Jigglypuff is my girlie but I'm not too big on how the balms smell. I haven't played with the non-lip makeup too much yet myself. I love the look you created, the Clefable blush looks great on you!
When I was younger I got my makeup from a drug store (walgreens,cvs) type of place as I got older my nana was like oh no you can’t use that stuff and she gave me birthday money so I went to Sephora and bought some high quality makeup, and ever since then I couldn’t go back to low quality. Although I will say theres still some affordable brands (drug store type of brands) that are very good quality. As far as color pop goes I would rate them in the middle, I find they’re usually affordable but the more pigmented shades usually have a lot of fall out. Anyways the make looks great, i think you’re doing great for someone who says they don’t know a lot about makeup. Applying the eyeshadow may be easier with a brush, for me it is but for you what you do may work better for you. I love the whole collection, they did a good job on it.
i wish it didnt have the glitter other wise i might have tryed the pokemon lip balm but im a guy and would be made fun of for sure but i do get chapped lips here and there but love the sets marie and yay first comment lol

Also, the super shock shadows (the bulba/char/squirtle ones) are meant to be used with fingers so you're doing great!

for your eyeshaddow you can also use cotton swab.. Dont know why, I just think it works better than brushs :)
