... You only removed the bottom half of the "seat"... What about the rest of it?
hey I have a bmw 1990 325i convertible and I have a broken seat adjustment on the back part of the seat where you can control the back angle and I need advice on how to get it fixed so the chair back will stay locked and not fall back when you sit in it. can u give me some advice pls. thx so much!!!!
I've linked a thread for you where a few people discuss the issue. It looks like often times crud will build up in the mechanism that locks the seat back in position, so cleaning it out will fix it.
If that doesn't work, next best bet is probably to just replace the hinge/locking mechanism. I don't know that you'd be able to find the small/intricate parts needed to do a rebuild on the mechanism
