Two points (maybe three), this ranking seems purely by chance, and there is no way of guessing these organizations' annual income. The importance given to them, and the descriptions seem also to be vague, e.g. the Cosa Nostra is today a less active organization. So in conclusion the only takeaway of this video seem to be the organizations' names and the names of key people, which have become common knowledge. So much for 2,2 millions views.
I would say that Solntevskaya OCG is the most dangerous in the list, because there are many rumors (and not only rumors) in Russia that Federal Security Service (FSB) is covering them.
Your list is based on money figures that are inconsistent. Here in Italy cosa nostra is considered basically squandered after the capture of all the old bosses of the "golden age" like Riina, Provenzano, Lo Piccola and the Brusca brothers. On the other hand the 'ndrangheta is considered by far the largest richest and most powerful criminal organization in Europe with strong branches in Canada, the US, South America and Australia. State prosecutors estimate it's global revenue to be between 44 and 60 billion USD a year. Apparently they control 80% of the drug trade in Europe and the market is almost twice as big as the US for Sinaloa/Gulf (BTW according to investigations they trade drugs, mainly cocaine, both with the Gulf cartel and directly with producers in Perù, Colombia and Equador.
In italy, the Ndrangheta is Top tier around the whole world.. the daughter of the biggest cocain cartel in columbia is marrried with a calabrian son of a calabrian boss

It was Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo that originally brought together the Sinaloa cartel. Chapo took charge far later. At least that's what Narcos, Mexico taught me..
Sinaloa was a branch of the guadalajara (thats probably not how its spelled) cartel together with the gulf and juarez branches if i remember correctly...but it wasnt classed as its own thing until infighting between the higher ups began with gallardo gettin locked up. So technically it was Chapo who made it its own thing. Anyways compliments from my end youve got a great taste when it comes to netflix series!
it was Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo that brought together all the Sinaloan smuggling lords and mountain bandits and formed the original Sinaloan Cartel in the 80s right? That was when they developed the methods to grow sensimilla cannabis in the desert. They didn't start smuggling cocaine for the Columbians until much later. Originally they didn't even want to mess with coke and just sell weed, and then they realized that coke was worth more and they could cut the Columbians out of the market and take over the drug trade. Now Mexican cartels pretty much run the whole distribution game, and the South American cartels are more the manufacturers and wholesalers. At least this is what I gathered from Narcos, too, lol.

Actually los cuinis are richer and more powerful than Sinaloa cartel their unkwon their aren't as loud as sinaloa
Just a heads up and I'm not being negative , but it's actually pronounced EN-DURANG-GA-TA I live in toronto where they are very very active also it's a popular missconception the Pablo started the cartel , nope he took it over and had partners , carlos belrthand and lueava ( I know I am not spelling that correct )
Correction: cosa nostra, camorra and ndrangheta are 3 different type of mafias. They are composed buy many clans. Yamaguchi gi is just a single organization taking part of the yakuza.
Did the video say something different?
This was really interesting, informative, insightful to watch about the criminal element. We are deep Down our daily lives we forget there is completely another hidden underworld occuring right in front of us, fascinating
There are a lot of inaccuracies, false and incorrect info in the video, about some of the organizations mentioned starting from the financial circulation and some other facts, especially the discrepancies much more when talking about the Russian organized criminal group, but maybe I noticed so many discrepancies that are more from the Hollywood and movies rather than real life, only bc I’m from former Soviet Union and for some time the culture was all around and very close to me. But in general was an interesting and entertaining video to watch.

Mafia in italy took off in early 19th century, like 1830, and kept going on and on and on, in 1980s mafia was still getting more and more powerful, looking at what happened in Campania region. I know what you meant, that mafia had a longer history than we thought, but it what you wrote was about criminal organizations that are not related to the modern ones. So, i repeat, mafia was born around 1830 in the sicilian rural environment, the birth was caused by poverty, the absence of attention by the institutions and the need of money.

Adding up all those members of all those organizations, it'd add up to less than 1% of the world's population. Most criminals aren't El Chapo or his friends. Most low level members have short life expectancy and don't make much. Though, respectable jobs often don't pay well either.
It isn't a lie; read 'freakonomics'. I have a vague connection with one of these groups. Well ,insofar, as an ancestor of mine was a British police officer who relocated and became a member of the Hong Kong police-as far as I know sometime in the 1930's and I have a photograph somewhere of him in his uniform. Details are scant but it has always been known within the family that he was executed by the Triads by means of decapitation. We always suspected that he was getting a little too close during an investigation and they didn't take too kindly to it and had to remove their problem, as it were, along with his head.

Apparently they control 80% of the drug trade in Europe and the market is almost twice as big as the US for Sinaloa/Gulf (BTW according to investigations they trade drugs, mainly cocaine, both with the Gulf cartel and directly with producers in Perù, Colombia and Equador.

lets just listen to this guy pronounce these organizations so perfectly
It was Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo that originally brought together the Sinaloa cartel. Chapo took charge far later. At least that's what Narcos, Mexico taught me..
Sinaloan here, you're correct, Chapo came afterwards
Mayo took charge el chapo was just the face of the cartel
Governments only do something about it when you have enough money to challenge them.
