Fun fact: they hadn’t yet cast Elsa for season 4, so Jennifer Morrison, who played Emma, actually acted as a double and dressed up in the iconic blue dress and shoulder braid for the last scene.
No matter, because of her, we were able to get inspiration of who live action, Elsa would be which eventually we did and honestly like Anna she has done pretty well.
There's a subtle nod to Emma's last name being "Swan", because the dress you noted the guards had changed her into, before throwing her into the cell, is similar color choices to the main animated depiction of The Swan Princess. Swan Lake/The Swan Princess was one of the few fairytale/princess stories The Mouse wasn't been able to get the rights to, but they can make vague references to it^.^ Fans have also pointed out Emma's keychain with a swan is kinda similar to animated Odette's locket with a swan & a few other costuming choices throughout the series~~~
A perfect ending to an incredible season. Robert Carlyle really brought his game to this episode, but so did so many of the others. Hook trading his ship to get back to Emma, and sitting on that information until she was ready to hear it, was probably the sweetest, most understanding, most devoted and loving action I can remember from the show. Alternatively, Emma bringing Marion back without even trying to find out who she was is probably the most thoughtless and reckless thing she does.
I feel like I want to count how many times you say “rebellions are built on hope” as well as each time you smile or laugh at rumple’s giddy noises. :P makes me laugh every time. Lol
Rumple going “What the hell am I doing in here?” and vanishing into thin air after drinking the forgetting potion is one of my favourite OUAT moments 😂🙌🏼
Of course it's not cool for Regina but we shouldn't forget that she killed her. which Robin even seems to know, so it's still difficult to blame Emma for saving her
If she didn't regret her mistakes and continue as an evil queen, yes, but she regretted and redeemed herself every step of the way and saved a lot of people.
@@NJS515 I sort of agree, but you've got to remember that the reason Regina's happiness got ruined is because Emma brought back a woman that Regina previously killed.
@@MarieAnne. and that woman had a husband and child that Regina was making a family wife. It was unfair to her to be murdered by Regina than she take her husband and child
I had been highly anticipating this one! This episode sets up season 4 perfectly. I suspect once you learned who she was, you remembered Marian from the episode where Belle manages to convince Rumple not to kill Robin Hood (played by a different actor then) for stealing his wand. I haven't seen Frozen either, but I do love that they started incorporating newer Disney stories into the show at this point. Looking forward to watching season 4 with you!
What I loved about the finale (other than the Captain Swan of it all, and believe me, the CS fans rode the high from this finale at least halfway through summer hiatus that year, haha) was that while it was 100% an homage to Back to the Future, it also made Emma the Dorothy analog for their Wizard of Oz story. She kept looking for home and didn't realize she already had it; she "didn't need to look any further than [her] own backyard." :)
Fun Fact: The actress who plays the character at the the final scene wasn’t cast/available at the time of filming. So that is actually Jennifer Morison, who plays Emma, did the finale scene. The fact that you knew you, had seen Marian before was amazing, cause last time she was on the show she was barely in it. Also she was with a different Robin.
I'm very entertained that you were so shocked at your own theory being used onscreen that you got up from your chair. Also, you're too good at predicting plots. You're very rarely wrong that I've seen. And I'm loving this slowburn of Regina growing on you.
Fun fact this was the very last live episode that I had watched. It wasn't until the last week that I actually binged through the last seasons of the show
The fact that Emma brought Robin Hood's wife to the future without her knowing who she really was. Well that must have hurt Regina very badly. Also Rumpelstiltskin and Bell getting married is very heartwarming.
the perfect final of the series for me if we forget the 4 last minute of the episode this double episodes is pefect for final because season 3 IS THE BEST season
if I was able to communicate with you before this I would recommend watching the animated story before continuing with Once Upon a Time take on it but you should enjoy the next story line even without much Frozen knowledge... love how invested you are with the characters and how so many of the little details hit you that others might not even get
Was wondering if you’d be excited for the frozen story line , did you go and watch the movie before you started season 4 lol . Was also wondering if you’d figure out who she was before it was revealed as she was the same actress I believe back when it was a different actor for Robin Hood .
not many people talk about it but i HATE Belle's wedding dress here. Her on a whole is such a miss as a character on the writer's part. she's either the team's encyclopedia or rumple's naive idiot to make a fool out of. the animated version of belle was sweet kind brave strong, not only intellectually but also emotionally and street smart and not to mention lowkey sassy !!! in all of my rewatches of this show, i can never bring myself to like her character. no hate to the actress but imo she didn't embody her right either, aside from being written badly

wow, i didnt know that. I never even thought of that being jen... the stature didnt look like hers so i just assumed just someone blonde. haha
Omg really??? That’s awesome. Where did they say this?
Whaat that did NOT look like her 😂
@@little7redify exactly 😂

Your reaction to hook trading his ship and robin recognizing marianne was just priceless :D

Especially when we find out who she is in s4
The only two certainties in life are Logan saying "Rebellions are built on hope", and Regina getting screwed over
When this finale first premiered that Marian twist ruined my life!!! Regina can never catch a break!! Such a good season though.
I like how they teased u what season 4 is about in the last minute of this finale
I feel like I want to count how many times you say “rebellions are built on hope” as well as each time you smile or laugh at rumple’s giddy noises. :P makes me laugh every time. Lol
i live for the “rebellions are built on hope” KEEP DOING IT 😂😂😂

him vanishing with a poof makes it 1000 times more hilarious. i just love zesty rumple

It's so unfair for Regina to have her happiness ruined again and again! Yep, that's Elsa from Frozen.
She deserves it 🤷🏻♂️
@@phantomquartz0586 Um, no she doesn't?

Minus the couple of cliffhangers that they left, this was kind of a perfect ending for the show. Season 3 was really great

robin's wife was familiar to you, because she was in season II ... and she was dressed exactly the same.
i'm glad none spoiled
You should see the Season 4 promo ..OMG its one of the best ones .. also the funniest 😅.. especially when emma says really 😅😅😂
I hated the writers for not letting Regina have her happy ending 😡😡
At this point regina might as well be a punching bag with the hits she's taken 🤦♀️
That was Elsa from frozen that u saw at the end of the season
“Holy sh&t take a break” 😂😂😂😂

Its the same actress for present Snow White and past Snow White. The only time it is a different actress is when Snow White is a child

If you've never seen Frozen, you should react to it and maybe before Season 4! ❄️❄️❄️
Lol. You should watch Frozen in preparation for the next season.
It is not necessary, so I did not watch it.
and yes we see Maryanne In season 2 episode 19 Lacy
This is a fairy tale magic show so statistics means nothing with the Emma and Neal meeting
