I absolutely LOVE this product! I used the 150 in the plastic jars--Porcelaine 150. I had ordered a hand painted tile mural that went wrong with the artist. The colors were not what I had expected. Anyway, I found this product and went over some of the colors to get closer to what I had wanted. Mainly, I wanted to get rid of the browns. NOT an easy color to "go over". I baked the repainted tiles in my oven, held my breath and was so thrilled with the results. "Color Me Mine" also allowed me to use their paints and kiln, but the paint did not hold. The 150 did!! Wow!! Was I thrilled!!
@ladymistreschristine Yes, these paints can be applied to any heat-stable surface -porcelain, crockery, terra-cotta, metals, ceramics, glass, etc. Fire them in a home oven at 300°F for 30 minutes for a finish that's as permanent as baked enamel.
@GardensOfUtopia Yes! you may use Pebeo Porcelaine 150 or Vitrea 160 paints on polymer clay. 30 minutes at 265 degrees F is fine for setting the paint on the clay. Since it won't go into a dishwasher, it will be plenty durable for use on decorative pieces of art. We are aware of quite a few professional polymer artists who are using these paints in this manner. Thanks for the inquiry and enjoy!
Yes - the porcelain paint would be the right choice for you. Make sure not to paint around the rim of the mug or the inside - it is best to use the paint on the areas where you or drinks will not be in direct contact.
@ladymistreschristine Yes, if the directions were followed properly for application, the paint is safe on the top rack of the dishwasher. This information should be on the label of the Pebeo Porcelain 150. You can also find more information on the Blick Art Materials web page which is linked in the informaiton fo rthis video.
Hi, great video. I tried to find how to use the paints on terracotta and bisque but cannot find anywhere that will tell me how long to dry the bisque after coating with the filler nor if it needs to be repainted with the colors before baking or if it needs two baking sessions for the filler coat and the colors coat.
If you want uniform, flat coverage, you may be able to use a small, fine mini-roller to achieve a flat of color, but a soft, flat watercolor-type brush may give you the effect you want while consuming less paint. Hope this helps! www.dickblick.com/categories/painting/tools/paint-rollers/
Amazing video! But I have a question, recently I used Pebeo porcelain 150 and after respecting the indications but from some objects the paint layer has developed bubbles.May I know why?
Typically with products like this, bubbles occur from residual moisture in the paint or object beneath, or from firing at too hot a temperature. Painted decoration should be allowed to dry completely before oven-setting. Hope this helps!
Awesome vid, I was wondering if this paint can be used on glass? (I have a bottle of the black 150 paint and already painted a bunch of mugs and was wondering if I could use this same paint on some wine glasses as a gift...) Thanks!!
Hi.....i have one question and i need advice.....i used to painting mugs, but always when i try to do that, after painting stay traces. What i was do wrong?
+Danijela Golubovic We are sorry but we do not understand what is going on with paint. If you could please email a photo of the mugs in question to our Product Information Department, at info@dickblick.com , then they will be able to assist you further.
These are a water based, non-toxic paint. No toxic or dangerous fumes are emitted during the painting process or baking process. You may notice a slight smell, but it will be similar to an acrylic paint.
My friend and I are litterally in my kitchen doing this, we just took them out of the oven and are letting them cool but i was wondering if these were dishwasher/microwave safe??? the cups are but i'm not sure how the paint works after it's set since this is our first try, Thanks for any help u can give!! :D
hi, once i paint on the mugs how long do i have to wait before putting the porcelain mug in the oven?? it's funny on some labels it tells you to bake it and on other labels it simply says it's dishwasher safe after 72hrs???????
Hi, I have recently purchased these paints and am slightly nervous about putting a glass bottle in the oven. I have a regular wine bottle to paint on but am unsure whether it is safe or not to put in the oven. Is there any way on knowing what kind of glass is okay to use? And am I okay to put this bottle in the microwave?

Hi! I am a polymer clay ooak sculptor. I was wondering if you can use pebeo on polymer clay? The problem is the max time and temp I can use on my pieces is 265 D F for about 30 mins. Please let me know. Thank you!

@ezpzleminsquEZ The Porcelaine 150 works on all glazed ceramics including stoneware. If you have specific questions as to how to use it, please contact our Product Information experts at: info @ dickblick . com,
+Becky Martinez The Porcelaine paint should only be baked twice at the most. If you want to add layers or create a piecewith a lot of thin layers, paint the layers allowing it to dry between coats and then bake the piece once when all of the painting is finished.
This is really helpful! These paints sounds amazing, i'm just wondering if they will work on plastic too, like plastic used to make eyeglasses. Would you happen to know if those plastics (lens included) could withstand the temperature needed to bake the paints? thank you!
Heather Q. Agoncillo Hi Heather! As long as the paint is not completely dried and it is applied to a nonporous (glazed) surface, it can be wiped off with a wet towel. If the paint has dried but not been baked, you can likely remove the paint by saturating the area with rubbing alcohol and scraping the paint off. If it has been baked, the paint is permanent and cannot easily be removed. If you would like additional assistance, please feel welcome to contact our Product Information team at 1-800-933-2542
+Nina Denis Yes, they can be used on air dry clay. Please be aware though that it will not act as true glaze that will make the piece water proof. You may also find that using the Undercoat White helps keep the colors brighter and more vivid. If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
Hi Nina, just curious if you had any luck using these paints with air dry clay? I’m curious too but i understand air dry clay should not be fired as its flamable, so i guess we’d just leave the paint to dry naturally? O.o
@Mimiu78 Please do not bake plastic in the oven! It is best to contact our Product Information team either by email at info@dickblick . com or call 1-800-933-2542. They can assist you with your project by suggesting appropriate materials and applications. Thanks!
Es necesario esperar 24 horas antes de que fragüe en el horno para que la pintura tenga total integridad. Esto asegura que el acabado sea duradero y atractivo.
You do not need to prime your surface before using Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Paint. However, it is very important to clean your surface with a solvent such as rubbing alcohol to remove any oils.
+Oscar Guzman You can bake the Pebeo 150 paints twice, the Pebeo 160 can only be baked once. So yes, you can made corrections or additions if you used the Pebeo 150, but only twice. If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
Lina J Once the tiles have been fired, they will withstand dishwashing. However, constant exposure to water and humidity, and harsher cleaning chemicals will be detrimental to the paint. For any additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
If your Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Paint has dried, you can try to use Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Thinner to fluidify the paints. However, it may not fully reactivate your paints. You can find the thinner on our website here: www.dickblick.com/products/pebeo-porcelaine-150-thinner/?clickTracking=true&wmcp=pla&wmcid=items&wmckw=02908-1103&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIx7rNmoq5_QIVZBl9Ch36FQDOEAQYASABEgKgVfD_BwE
Hi, I just bought these porcelain paints but screwed up a piece badly. I have applied the paint so thinck i cannot seem to get it off with alcohol. A friend told me to fire it again in the kiln for all paint to burn off. Is this really possible? Please let me know, I woudl tremendously appreciate since I care a lot for this piece. What cone or temperature shoudl I fire the piece to for all paint to burn off without even leaving any residue inside the pitts and holes making up the design of the piece? Thanks again - Ashley Theobald
+Asli Cetinel These paints should not be fired in a true kiln. Yes, they may burn off, but they could also leave scorch marks or discolorations. This would not be a good method to “remove” the paint. Instead, we would recommend sanding off the area you are not satisfied with and then repainting that space. If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
I am looking for a paint that can be used to repaint porcelain dolls after the factory paint has been removed. Can this paint be used on unglazed porcelain? Does it work well with a dry brush technique? Does the paint hold up well to multiple firings to enable layering of paint?
lornaduwn The Pebeo Porcelaine Paints can be applied to unglazed porcelain and will work with a dry brush technique. These paints should be baked in an oven, not fired in a kiln. The manufacturer does not recommend baking the paint more than twice. For any additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com.
+dawn Amendola The colors may darken slightly as they air dry, but they will not change color during recommended baking times. However, if you bake them for too long or at too high a temperature, they can burn. For any additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!

I cut a vinyl mask and paint inside it, im not an artist to produce nice free hand stuff. anyway i have a problem when doing this.
