Thank you so much for this very thoughtful video. When I was going through chemo and radiation, I expected to lose the hair on my head, but nobody mentioned what is obvious to me now that wasn't at the time, that you lose your eyebrows and eyelashes and also hair in private places that nobody ever talks about. If I had known about Godiva's back then, and other online support, I would have felt like I had a community rather than just being at medical appointments or not. Medical professionals are appropriately focused on saving your life, not on the small details like hair, but that is important. I ended up loving super short growing back hair (bald, not so much) with a wig or not and I'm considering going back to that. Thanks again!

I love my petite, long length wig that I purchased last April, after beginning radiation treatments. However, I had to thin it quite a bit to make the amount of hair look normal on my small head. Thin candice did not come in petite, so it was not an option for me. My wish would be that you might consider creating more long and medium petite, thin selections. I truly enjoy watching for my subscription to Godiva Secret Wigs every Monday! Your posts give me hope. ❤️

Hi Linda, Petite Mariah and Petite Ivy are, for now, our mid-length and longer petite wigs. It's normal for some clients to thin and trim a wig to customize it for a smaller face. Those are our mid to longer choices for now. Wish we had more, but petite wigs is a huge commitment since petite is a small amount of clients and when we have wigs made, they are made 100 of one style in one color. Go for the fit, like Mariah and just make the hair adjustments to make you happy - if possible. Hope this helps some... Ro
Thank you for this information. My hair never grew back well after chemo. I do wear wigs in the winter and enjoy them. However, I live in Texas and my head perspires so much that a wig makes me miserable in the summer (which of course is from late April to mid October). At first I got one inexpensive wig because my prognosis was very poor. Now that I am not going to die in a few months I want to invest in some nicer ones. I will certainly check out what GSW has to offer.

Dear Danielle, and Dearest Ro: Thank you for this outstanding video with tons of useful information! I'd like to make some comments and suggestions t to enhance all the wonderful products Godiva Secret Wigs offers and also mention another site (NOT a competitor) that has products to help cancer patients dealing with hair loss and a suggestion for a new product that you might want to think about adding to the Godiva brand. I myself has so far in life been pretty lucky. I've had serious illnesses that I survived but cost me a lot of hair, Cancer isn't the only thing that robs us of hair. Alopecia and conditions like kidney disease, diabetes, and a host of others cause thinning or complete loss; and just living a long time also takes a toll. One of my dear friends has lost nearly all of hers to rheumatoid arthritis. My own hair is maybe 50 or 60% of what it once was. One product I discovered would love to ask Rochelle and Danielle to consider is the hair HALO. It's a ring of hair on a piece of filament that only goes in a circle around the head. It's meant to go under a hat. Hats with hair are great, and I love them, but a halo is a little more flexible offering a ring of hair all the way around the head. I never researched any place to get one, but the few I've seen person did not have GSW quality hair. I'd love to see Godiva offer a really fine quality halo. Here's where I'm going off the rails. Danielle mentioned wearing scarves and I wholeheartedly agree. Scarves are a beautiful alternative--or addition to wigs. IMO, and hopefully with Ro's approval, one of the best of the many sites for scarves is Wrapunzel ( www.wrapunzel.com ). They not only sell breathtakingly stunning and soft scarves but like GSW, offer all the tools and information you need to rock a scarf, make it look like you have a huge amount of hair under it, and keep it slip-proof. Plus, again like GSW, they have many, many videos of fabulous looking but simple (and also extremely complex for the adventurous and creative) styles. Like GSW, they are responsive to cancer patients and other forms of medical hair loss. If you already have your Danielle bangs they work fantastically with Wrapunzel's scarves. On cold days I like mix and match my wigs, scarves, and HATS. Few things are toastier on a cold morning. I think GSW's customer service and policies are noticeably better, but Wrapunzel's is still very good in responsiveness and helpful tips.

How do you measure for wig grips. Starting my 4th chemo treatments the Tiffany is perfect style and color

I'd like to make some comments and suggestions t to enhance all the wonderful products Godiva Secret Wigs offers and also mention another site (NOT a competitor) that has products to help cancer patients dealing with hair loss and a suggestion for a new product that you might want to think about adding to the Godiva brand.
I myself has so far in life been pretty lucky. I've had serious illnesses that I survived but cost me a lot of hair, Cancer isn't the only thing that robs us of hair. Alopecia and conditions like kidney disease, diabetes, and a host of others cause thinning or complete loss; and just living a long time also takes a toll. One of my dear friends has lost nearly all of hers to rheumatoid arthritis. My own hair is maybe 50 or 60% of what it once was.
One product I discovered would love to ask Rochelle and Danielle to consider is the hair HALO. It's a ring of hair on a piece of filament that only goes in a circle around the head. It's meant to go under a hat. Hats with hair are great, and I love them, but a halo is a little more flexible offering a ring of hair all the way around the head. I never researched any place to get one, but the few I've seen person did not have GSW quality hair. I'd love to see Godiva offer a really fine quality halo.
Here's where I'm going off the rails. Danielle mentioned wearing scarves and I wholeheartedly agree. Scarves are a beautiful alternative--or addition to wigs. IMO, and hopefully with Ro's approval, one of the best of the many sites for scarves is Wrapunzel ( www.wrapunzel.com ). They not only sell breathtakingly stunning and soft scarves but like GSW, offer all the tools and information you need to rock a scarf, make it look like you have a huge amount of hair under it, and keep it slip-proof. Plus, again like GSW, they have many, many videos of fabulous looking but simple (and also extremely complex for the adventurous and creative) styles. Like GSW, they are responsive to cancer patients and other forms of medical hair loss. If you already have your Danielle bangs they work fantastically with Wrapunzel's scarves. On cold days I like mix and match my wigs, scarves, and HATS. Few things are toastier on a cold morning. I think GSW's customer service and policies are noticeably better, but Wrapunzel's is still very good in responsiveness and helpful tips.
Thank you for your suggestions Diane! Actually, we are working on something similar to a halo, but more comfortable and hopefully a better fit for the majority of clients. A few other items up our sleeve, but I cannot share as yet. Much appreciated! xo Rochelle
