Rochelle was very honored to make this video with Marissa, a courageous woman who is battling Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. In January 2023, Marissa was first diagnosed; she was 27 weeks pregnant at the time. She found a lump, but had no other symptoms. She did chemo infusions which were safe for her to do during pregnancy and she had a healthy baby boy! However, now the cancer has spread to her lungs, spine and bones. Marissa wants a wig and Rochelle can not wait to help her find the perfect one (or three!). Ro takes Marissa on a wig journey, showing her many different colors, lengths and styles. She tries a wig with bangs, lace front wigs, wavy wigs, long smooth wigs and more! Along the way, Ro shares countless tips and tricks. In the end, Marissa falls in love with three wig styles!! Watch and see the amazing transformations.

My heart goes out to this beautiful , courageous young lady! She was so brave in sharing all of her diagnosis. What a battle she has to fight. My prayers are with her. She was stunningly beautiful with no hair, but you could just see her sparkle with the wigs on. I liked her with the light color. I thought it brightened her up. Good morning! Marissa, thank you for sharing, such a courageous woman you are. Your attitude will help you to overcome this rotten disease, stay strong and positive and you will see Caleb grow to be a wonderful man. I thought the light colors looked really nice on you, I think the highlights enhanced your skin tone but you have to be comfortable with it and Chocolate Kiss looked beautiful too, you couldn't pick a bad color. Once you embrace the "who cares" attitude, you'll probably try other colors and styles, it's so much fun!

I also have stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer but only on oral chemo so I haven’t lost my hair yet, only thinning. I probably have at least 15 GS wigs and can vouch for the quality and appreciate all the videos. I’ve had a lot of trial and error with colors so I only wear a few of them having settled on Silver Stone and Sandy Silver. I’ve tried other companies but GS is by far the best IMO. Sending prayers for Marissa for excellent results with her treatment and sorry she has to go through this being so young. I am currently stable so there is hope and new treatments coming out more often now.

Hi Everyone, Rochelle here! I want to share that Marissa's wonderful mother, Meryl, also ended up purchasing a Candice in Ginger Brown and Dakota in Chocolate Kiss for Marissa. And...Meryl ended up with her own Candice wig in Toasted Brown. They're all meeting for an upcoming family reunion so Marissa will take a couple of wigs with her!
Marissa's friend Pam, who was at our video purchased a Lycra Short Wrap Turban in Blue and Danielle Bangs in Ginger Brown for Marissa too!

This was such an emotional video to watch given my own family situation where hubby has been declined a kidney transplant and heart surgery due to other medical complications. I so feel for her. Your compassion Rochelle and the strength of this young beautiful woman made this video so special. Despite everything she is absolutely glowing. What a beautiful and brave soul! My mother had breast cancer and required removal of one breast. She often tells me she wished she had GSWs back then (1980s). She is now in her 70s, diagnosed in her 40s while pregnant with my little brother who is a healthy and wonderful man in his 30s. I have to say my favorite wig on her was Candice.

I too have had cancer endometrial and came back 2/2022, now in my lungs. But I’m doing great through prayer. I will add you to my prayer list. I have 6 of Godiva secrets wigs. I wear one of them everyday. It makes me feel good about myself. I had thick hair that came back thin and spotted. But - I love the wigs and get a compliment on my hair almost everyday. Marissa, God bless you on your journey, congratulations on your new baby! I wore my new Candice in Silverstone on Mother's Day with casual shorts and a t shirt. It looks amazing. I found it to be very lightweight which was unexpected. I brought along a clip to keep it out of my eyes and went on a fun and strenuous hike with one of my older sons and his wife. I found out that I didn't have to dress up to wear Candice. At 42:00, we see Marissa in Nina wig and I think its adorable.

I don't know what it is about Marissa that bowls me over the most--her courage, her openness, her intelligence, or her beauty (inside and out). While both Kayla and Billie look fantastic on her, I'd opt for Billie. Too bad she doesn't like the Dakota's English Toffee-R because I think she rocks it. I personally love McKenna, but mine is totally different on me from how it looks on Marissa. Okay, so she looks fantastic in every single one of them.
Count me in as a fan of the Rochelle wig. I have mine in Irish Spice (Bob loves it). I also love my brand new McKenna. Oh, I just love ALL my Godiva Secret Wigs!

One thing people should know is that,after chemo, the hair may grow out a completely different color, texture, and fullness.
I knew a woman with straight blonde hair whose hair was salt & pepper tight curls after chemotherapy!
That is true KiKi! I think it may be from a shock to the system too. After I had Danielle, my curly hair came in flat and straight! So, I had a perm - bad idea!! But, now wigs make it so I never get too concerned about my hair. xoxo Ro

I try to watch the weekly download and when I have time I try to watch older videos because there is always some tid bit about how to style, how to get used to or just how to gain confidence with wearing a wig. I own 4 wigs and a topper, and now want a wig I saw in a video in Irish spice. I just wish there was a way to use some sort of extension to put on with a wig.

@@GodivasSecretWigs I'd love to figure a way to just be able to put a tiny bit of gray in something like Diana LF in Irish Spice, I have extentions for my bio hair when I want some high lite, so why not wigs? I know extension clips would damage the hair, You have magic fingers so maybe you could figure it out?

Agree you look so great in the lighter colors!!! The dark looked washed out…still gorgeous just not at good in my opinion.
