good shit me and some mates after a couple of beers an bongs went down the tunnel late at night with just bic lighters about 25 years ago this bought back some memorys cheers to ya for uploading
Again, so many cool memories of what some would just a misspent youth. It really was quite magical. And I'm not just talking of the mushrooms found lower down. I recall wandering amongst these trolleys nearly forty years ago. We'd laugh and just have a great time. Spending hours wandering. Sometimes in the dark, after watching the sun set over the Tasman sea. Bittersweet, nostalgia reigns supreme. Thanks again, Geoff.
The Millerton Waterfall again, has bittersweet memories. From sitting at the very top, in this little "spa pool", that stopped one going over the top, smoking a joint and just having a great time but man, the water was sulphurous, so you had to rinse off with clean water as quickly as possible, or your skin around your important bits would lose a layer or two. They were the sweet times. I won't share the bitter, or should I say, just plain sad. I'm a pragmatist for the most part, but there was something very powerful about the energy all over that place. Not to mention the ghosts.
Nice to see the old road winding through the bush, there were some hairy moments driving up in the early 70's. Wonderful memories. Had a shock last time I visited with the huge highway sliced through the hill to Stockton, but went for a wander down the old road for nostalgia's sake. It is such a beautiful place, with the best view on a clear day. My heart stayed after i left. Happy hippie days. Thanks again for your fantastic films.
Wow wow wow, I am blown away Geoff, this is absolutely amazing I love history, gosh it was hard out back then "Hearty men" going into those tunnels wow, thank you Geoff appreciate you doing this 👍🏽👌🏽
Completely forgot there was a walking track up to it. Ah the memories. Sad to think that the history of the coast is slowly being swallowed up by nature.
It wasn't just miners that used these tunnels. My elderly neighbour used to talk of walking down through the tunnels, taking the train into Westport, then walking across town to school. Then the reverse on the way home.

Thanks again Geoff. Great balance between background music for the drone and natural sounds. You get around.

On the contrary, it’s being erased and defiled by the greenie brigade.
Great.
