I don’t think anyone uses the backpack interactions anymore lol. Since you can access everything using R and the astropedia is in the menu

He reminds me so much of newbies in World of Warcraft back in the day... everyone was always having to tell them "READ THE QUEST LOG!"
And they they still don't do it, until the entire region shouts at them, and then they cry and whine. I remember those days.

so the exo farm care package is given for every 640 points your sending 2240 point when send a full ship leaving 1600 point left over to use so next 2 ships are sent empty so if put anything on it just falls off.
16:00 (ish) you are sending so much stuff you are reaching multiple goals at once, meaning you have to send it empty to get it all, also plz slow down and read im gona go insane when you are confused about it being 'broken' when its just you not reading what is right in front of you

What I learned today with Z1:
YOU CAN PUT S.O.U.P AND FUEL IN SOIL CANISTERS?!
You can keep getting care packages by just using your soup farm for the event to keep sending more rockets with soup, you can get like 3 care packages per full ship with soup
Z Remember to grab the correct items. You saw aluminum alloy and said just aluminum. You're going to go there with the wrong stuff if you don't slow down and read what the mission log is telling you. Also you can't package the MAT.. you can package the crates and I found considering I can't make dynamite yet, I gather the crates, put them altogether and just use one explosive on them all.
I love seeing you play Astroneer again. All these comments must be really feeding the algorithm 😋 As always mate, cheers for the great content.
GG. @25:05 There's a trick when using tethers. At ech junction, put two tethers in the direction back to base. You'll never not know the way home then.
The mission log can be accessed by the wheel.. I think you have to hold R
If you just make soup and sending the trade shuttle you gonna get A LOT of resourses.Untill now I got more then 50 RTGs!!! Its like a hack event
This is so frustrating just read the missions
IMO wrecks and damaged equipment are so good for resources. When I first stated I took my first trip to Desolo in my small shuttle. I forget what it was but, I found something in a wreck that allowed me to build a large shuttle. To this day my small shuttle is still in the crater it landed in. The crater that I had to build up the ground below me so I could get back in the shuttle. I stopped playing that save over 2 years ago and recently started playing it again. I think they may be better now. I just recently found a nanocarbon alloy in a wreck.
The event isn't broken. If you read the final page it says you have rewards waiting to be claimed. Each full load of soup gives you 3 care packages. It will not accept any more items until all waiting packages have been claimed.
Also there is a mission log on your backpack.
Z...for the love of god, keep your eyes on your missions. You spent bytes to unlock the hydrozine thruster. After you print the atmospheric condenser and produce a single bottle of gas, a mission will appear to make one hydrozine. The reward for that is a free hydrozine thruster and the schematic.
Also, you didn't need to spend the 10k to unlock the portable oxygenator. There is a mission to craft a nanocarbon. Doing that unlocks the schematic...
Eh honestly doesn't matter, regardless he has the 12000ish bytes because you get them back if you already have a schematic that would be unlocked
I actually blew up one of my thrusters to having multiple wasn't bad actually
I agree with both of you about getting things for free. Things like that I just don't want to wait for the natural progression and if I can I'll buy it asap because they are so awesome. I can also relate when he talked about the new compass being so good. I thought it was one of the best additions ever to the game. Also the qt rtg. Still deciding about the portable smelter even though it is really nice.
@@flash1259 you can fit a lot of portable smelters on a platform for quick smelting (that's how I use it)
When You send EXO rocket, points are stored is the system, when You have a message about rewards You can't send another one rocket with S.O.U.P because first rocket need to bring items that are waiting to be delivered from reward, that's why it's rejecting S.O.U.P.
If You are quick, You can send 2 rockets with S.O.U.P. in same time and then 2 times more get reward on next sends :)

That storage splitter can fit only on T3 slot and medium rocket got only 3x T2 slots, I did also forget about that when I print rocket :(

I'm still missing soil to ore automatization and some ore extractions
when you send the exo rocket off due to still having rewards to claim, you have to take the canister off the top, that is what is happening with soup all over the ground. you have to arrow over and make sure you have all the extra rewards claimed first before re-attaching the canister on top.
It's painful to watch you read the description of the mission, which tells you what to do, only for you to say "how do you do this?!?!?"
I just dug to the center of the planet. Dude what a wild trip and zero gravity!! Apparently this is the way on every planet that you can dig to the core
You need a episode just for that.
Z. Don’t worry about it feeling super cheaty, you could probably get every item that doesn’t require gases just by making a super scrapper trading system and building an auto extractor for astronium that puts it on a train and sends it back up to be traded.
Essentially there’s many ways to break progression. If you wanna be the system’s best soup delivery man you do that lol.
Z1, maybe you should research and build the Large Shredder. That would allow you to clean up some of the debris around your base and recover resources that you need...
The mission log is in your backpack or you can hole r then select the mission log. also you need to give Mat aluminum alloy not aluminum.
you need to claim all the rewards on the exo platform before it will let you send more off
Also put a packager block on the transmitter and it will allow you to take it with you
You will get two payloads of resources from the expo center. One's going to be glass, graphite, clay. Another resource payload will be titanium iron copper. Then it's going to be a good payout of either two mobile smelters with two chips and circuit ship. Another good payout load will be 2 qRgds, 2 chips, and circuit chip. Also try only putting enough points into eco shuttle just to get the next payload. You will get more payloads over time

The kitchen automation is working fine.... However,... plants dont grow unless you are standing nearby. Thats what is stopping it from working while you are away. All other automation (including tappers) will work in the background, but the pumpkins need to grow to produce samples.
for the exo platform, its the page you are on when you send it. if you are on the care package page it drops the cargo.

youre sending a payload of 2240 but one tier is 600. so you get nearly 4 reward packages. You can still send more when you have unvlaimed rewards you just need to scroll 2 times to the left and then send it. That will cause it to take the soup and get your rewards back.

Hey Z, the data chips you see, they're for next update, the data chips a and b are quest items for the mega can and the alternative seat
They all fall off when you have pending rewards that need to be delivered

Keep sending the soup. You'll get these little arc smelters and hydrazine jump jets from time to time.
Z1, you really need to stop ignoring what the game is telling you. The EXO Request rocket dumps everything when you have unclaimed rewards waiting. The EXO Request UI told you there were rewards waiting. The description text of the data circuits contains important story information, some of which leads to the upcoming DLC. Snails eat any seed, but give more when it is their favorite. The mission log is available through your backpack. Are you intentionally angering the viewers?
In fairness to Z he is an OG Astroneer and back then we just had to work things out without any real instructions. Just blunder through and try and work out how to go from one thing to the next. I came back to Astroneer thanks to Z1 coming back to it and yeah the whole mission log thing is new and a little overwhelming, but I slowed down and started to read it and understand it.
Z needs to do that too, but as a gaming youtuber we have to remember that he has to split his focus when playing a game. You have to play, think what you are saying (and make it interesting and coherent) and just be mindful about time and that you "have" an audience etc.
Most people that play a game are alone and just focus in on the game. A good example is try focusing on a task and then the phone rings and you have to talk AND still do the task. It is not easy as it looks. While he has been doing YT for a while, games like Astroneer is more like muscle memory and the whole mission log changes things.
All that said he does do some stuff that just makes you want to facepalm (like that whole thing on Glacio) and just missing the point of that misson.
It's a bug. On console you can press x or a on the button icon. If I press x everything falls down. If I press a on the icon, it takes all the resources up with it.
Also says waiting to reclaim the prizes but id already collected them all. Yea it a big bad bug 😊
Care package: 640. Sending 2240. Math: 2240/640 = 3.5 Therefore.... Load 2240, Send (Launch), Recieve, Launch, Recieve, Launch, Recieve, Load, Send... Rinse, Repeat. Cannot send more until you claim all of the reward.

Z I'm pretty certain you have at least 2 solid fuel thrusters next to your delivery rocket
May not be the most efficient use of Astronium but, I use it to get portable smelters. I like to have a few around.
The exo request platform is handing out smelters right now, I have 7 ish already
@@mutantmonkey7825 I guess that is also random. I've got a few medium silos full and don't remember getting even one. I have got a lot of really good rewards. The last event I almost filled the large flat storage with circuits. This time I got the C and D circuits really soon on my Xbox and Steam save. I got them so fast this time I kept going just to see what rewards I'd get. I did it without the container on top. I didn't think about using the fluid container even though it should have been obvious to me. I have used it a couple of times to check it out and it just confirmed what I already knew by using the container on top for the last event.
I usually find a few in the bottom level before the core so I always keep an eye out for them. They save so much space and are great for taking on adventures to other planets.

Your science machine is not running when you leave because it needs repeating activation; now with the logistics printable, machines don’t run automatically by themselves; you must set up the logic.
I just made a repeating system. It only needs to be turned on ones, as the one activates the other again.
FYI your titanium alloy is on glacio
