@@OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm I also found that if I want to chip a large diameter piece, it helps to toss in a smaller piece to open up the roller. I’m sure you know that but I did see someone complaining about how difficult it was to insert bigger chunks into the chipper. I love this machine too. It’s my personal tool of the year and so much fun to operate.
Larry M thanks! Glad it helped, I felt the JD had plenty of power to run it with those size limbs but it sure felt heavy on the back! Thanks for the feedback, stay safe my friend!
Also I forgot to tell ya, get ya about 5 gal of hydraulic fluid for it while you wait on shipment haha! You’ll have to let me know how it works for ya! If you have Facebook look us up. I’d sure appreciate it if ya posted some pictures! Take care.
Thanks Chuck! Yes when I was making these the phone I was using seemed to auto reduce the volume, not a whole lot I can do about my older videos but I sure appreciate the feedback! Take care :)
Avoid putting or dragging any wood, branches, and shrubs on Gravley surface that you are going to put and a wood chipper it can pick up rocks Stone and pebbles that can Damage the blade on your chipper
Guys I've bought a very similiar woodchipper, which looks nearly the same. I've filled the chipper reservoir with oil. My question is now: Do I have to bleed the air out the hydraulics ? Or is that step not neccesary, because it's a self-venting system ?
I’m not sure if your system is the same but ours didn’t require bleeding. It sure does work well! Definitely a handy machine to have around, thanks for watching. Take care!
I am ordering, but torn between WC46 and WC68. I'm putting this on a JD 770 which is 20 hp @ rear PTO (which I think is fine) but my rear lift capacity is 815#, and this machine is over 700# according to the website. What is the lift capacity on the tractor in this video? Did you have any trouble moving it around?
Hello Nick, the JD 2320 moved it around fairly easy but keeping in mind of how heavy it was we didn’t take it to any place with a slope. I had used this chipper on my old compact JD4010 and it was 18hp with about 14 to the pto and it could move it as well! Hope that helps, I will say that chipper work great! Definitely a nice piece of equipment.
@@OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm How well did the WC 68 work with 14 PTO HP? How big of diameter did it chip? I'm thinking of getting the WC 68 for my JD 1025R with 18 PTO HP, instead of getting the WC 46. I feel that there would be better resell value for the bigger unit, being that there is only a $200 difference in the price. I know that it will probably not do 6" limbs very well, if at all, but I think the bigger throat will handle 3"-4" limbs with branch forks better than the WC 46. The weight is pretty much at the upper limit for my 3-point lift capacity though.
Yes we really like it! Built solid and have never had any issues. The price, features, and quality will be very hard to beat compared to any other chipper!
@@OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm thank you so far I think this is the one for me only thing people seem to complain about is when they don't run it at 540 it will plug. All said that's an easy fix
Thanks for watching Bob! I wish I could tell you for certain but I would assume so, not sure what the shipping expense would be. Wish I could be of more help, take care!
@@OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm well I truly appreciate you taking the time to reply it's very much appreciated. Wishing you a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year

Thanks for watching Ian! That’s a good idea, we sure get a ton of use out of our WC68 sure is a great machine.

I have an 18.1 hp pto and i was sending 6” dried oak limbs and it took it like a champ at speed 2.5. This was an appetizer
d tact thanks for watching! Your right, this was our first run with it and to find out this pine was a breeze haha! That chipper is a beast.
Sweet. Thanks for the vid. I was worried about putting this on my b2650 with 19.5 hp at the PTO. You guys cleared that worry. Thanks.
