I feel like he was testing her, and once he molded her and she did what he wanted, he got all his satisfaction me now he can say peace out.
Not sure why so many comments blame Dave for quitting. He did try on various occasions to help her through her insecurities and she was very immature. Now that doesn’t go without saying that with any relationship things take time to improve on. She did walk away from him, moved out? That’s extremely offensive. They discussed it in one of the episodes when they found out one of the other couple went through it and clearly Dave and Amber both agreed they could not look past that if either one did that too each other. I’m all about us women empowering each other but making men the villain isn’t right. This is just my opinion.
Completely agree. Dave didn't stand a chance of not having to tread lightly and walk on eggshells with everything he would say. I don't blame him for not staying with her. I found myself rolling my eyes every time Amber would use the words, "judgy" or "judgemental". Amber, get some therapy. Also, Amber looks much better as a blonde.

Relax she is not a natural blonde. She look good as a blonde, but her hair look healthier as a brunette. If she decides to go back blonde, she have to find the right color and maintain a healthy up keeping. Hopefully work on herself as well and he made it no better.
The fact that Dave could not see himself in a relationship with Amber because of her former relationship with one of his friends just confirms what I thought, he's a narcissist. I love that Dr. Pepper confronted him with that topic.
And in true narcissistic fashion he got angry, highly offended and defensive.

dani238159 yeah he nit-picks on his own stuff too when he kept criticizing himself at the altar, but it looks like he wants a woman much less emotionally expressive and more confident and Amber couldn't fit that requirement. She said she wanted a man who would make her feel secure. Security has to come from inside and then the relationship can compliment that.

I think he could not handle the insecurity in her personality....he said he wanted someone that he could lean on for support and vice versa....she needed so much reassurance it wore him out.....some people do not like weak people...or insecure people it can be draining...and she was really insecure...and a little scatterbrain at times...it was not for him...he was sexually attracted to her....but it seems he had a hard time talking to her...she was so offended at every little comment...Dave needs a more mature woman that is secure in her own skin....nice couple but not right for each other...he was turned off by the third week in....

I thought everyone could tell that the dry brittle white hair was sooooo bleached and over processed. Nice to see her natural brown color but she could still use some highlight (not a total bleach job) to soften the dark look.
I liked her, she was insecure but seems like a nice woman. Also she probably changed her hair more because everyone online ripped her and her hair the whole season. This guy sucked all season though...he tries to act like he is so mature and better than her. The dude has issues and I think she can do better. Shes pretty cute to be honest.

Why are people so down on Dave? He was very patient with her and her endless insecurities. I wouldn’t want to put up with that either. Her constant need for validation was exhausting.
I agree she has a lot to work on: she is too insecure and came out as immature and annoying many times (in my opinion of course). But he also has some growing ip to do. He also had a fit during the salsa lesson (I would not have patience for that if he was my boyfriend/husband), and in more than one ocasion I felt that he was having fun with her being insecure and making strange compliments like when he said her perfume was good but then proceded to say it was almost overpowering... I would just reply yeah you also smell nice, it's a nice perfume, vary mild almost like a girl's fragrance... (I'm just being mean now! Lolol)

looking at their facial expressions Dave looked away as soon as Amber said try to reconcile and she has a slight smirk on her face, I think she knows the answer like they've talked about it but she wants him to be the one to say it in front of the cameras. Dave never admitted any fault and acted like Amber needed to change for him. He was never interested, he seemed in love with himself and seemed passively aggressive abusive. I can’t imagine him ever being truly good to a woman. In time he would have stripped her of believing she was worthy of love. I’m glad she doesn’t have to live that.

Amber loves Dave a lot, it can be seen in her eyes. Obviously she will feel insecure she knows Dave never loves him. She tries to do a lot for being loved by him. Those who feel she change hair color out of insecurity it's totally wrong, she does it because she loves him a lot. Dave can't find someone best than her as a lover who is ready to give everything for him.

@LadyD Are you stupid or have some sort of learning disability? First Amber found out that Dave's celebrity crush was Jessica Biel and freaked out because in her own words looks nothing like her. Secondly Dave told Amber about how they had to rate the wifes and how he gave her a 7.5 out 10. Amber proceeded to melt down because she wanted a ten. Even when Dave told her that 7.5 was a great score Amber couldn't accept it. Thirdly Amber start a conversation with Dave about how her hair was falling off from dying it blonde all the time and when Dave posed the question on why does she keep dying it if it's falling off and Amber freaked out. Lastly Amber admitted she was the one that gathered all her things and moved out. I do thick Dave is cocky but Amber is extremely insecure and Dave couldn't put up with it... They're both better off...

The heightened insecurities and often feeling judged by him seemed all too familiar to me when I was in a very brief relationship with someone. That someone is a Virgo so I took it upon myself to check out this Dave guy’s sign and look at that! He’s also a Virgo. Sis... run. Not because he’s a Virgo but because you should never let a man tell you more than once that he doesn’t want you.

My impression is that Dave did not genuinely give Amber a chance after learning whom she had dated previously. She appeared to always be trying to live up to his expectations and even if she was more insecure than some, her intuition was probably correct in judging how Dave was feeling towards her. Did you see the show? I would've left her at decision day. She was to insecure and didn't want the responsibility of taking care of another person... That's what it means to be married. Women lean on their looks/attractiveness to much and don't think they have to also provide. Looks fade, all of the men that would've waited on you hand and foot like you were some queen just moved on to Daenerys Targaryen. Thinking that man should be treated like a kings and women like queens is the problem.
@@NYC1E1 She dodged a bullet. The guy despised her, always belittling her. He couldn't get over her dating his friend and Lord knows what his friend said about her. She may have had some insecurity beforehand, but it increased 100 fold by the time they divorced.
Wow, all the comments on here.... I don’t believe Dave is a narcissist, I just believe they weren’t a good match. I feel like both of them are good and fun people, but they both have their own things they need to work on, which is part of the human experience, after all. Also, I feel like it did strain things when she put the pressure on him to always make her not so insecure. Insecure people are exhausting, and needing constant reassurance is hard to live with. But again, I think they’re both good people, but everybody has their own skeletons. Just my two cents.

Dave had already heard horror stories about her from a gym friend who had dated her. So, unfortunately, he knew what was coming and already was looking for the issues and BS waste of time arguments her "insecurity" would cause. They likely did materialize....so, he knows, this stuff never ends based on his and his gym friends experience with her.
Didn't stop him from banging her did it. If he didn't love her then he should never have led her on.

Danielle is more of a literary person. She does not like to verbalize her feelings. That’s why she likes to write her feelings down on paper. This is different from not being touchy-feely. She is attracted to Bobby, so it was not difficult for her to receive love from him in the way of verbal & physical affection.
