- PhysicsPak automatically fills a shape with copies of elements, growing, stretching, and distorting them to fill the space. It uses a physics simulation to do this and to control the amount of distortion.
This is a look at early technology from Adobe. These may or may not be features and/or new products we integrate down the line.
This work was done in collaboration with Reza Saputra Adhitya and Craig Kaplan from the University of Waterloo.

MAGIC. So the real question is when will this be available?
I think this is a question which we all ask us :-) This will be a great feature to work with!
This is awesome it'll save me so much time with my client work in packing cases tight when travelling thanks so much Adobe!
It is already 2019. When this will be available?
And now it's 2024. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That's cool. My wife would use it to pack a suitcase or washing machine...I wonder to what extent it could be used to at least a brick pattern etc. The only obstacle is sizing...and 3D possibilities.
is there something like this except just to fit different items on an artboard (rectangle) with several items I am going to print?
So this was over a year ago...WHEN is this going to be available/added to Illustrator???
Brilliant
Incredible Maestro +++++++++++++++++++++++

Soon designers will be out of job, AI and Machine learning can do it all.
You can just create a pattern in illustrator using make pattern tool then use it as a swatch to apply on your artwork. Same thing
That IS NOT the same thing. Pay attention.
This is NOT the same. This is something quite amazing! Though, this effect once this is released is going to be WAY overused and undesirable. LOL
Please watch the video.
No its not lol
How about updating the core of photoshop's tools, to handle 16 and 32 bit images... Currently Photoshop is basically still a 8bit dinosaur. Instead of adding these useless toys! Start acting professionel.
