He’s saying that at home , he’s bored, he’s seeking adventure away from his dull and loveless marriage, he’s done with her and the marriage, she packs his backs, done, over, he leaves , thinking he’s going to do way better than his present life, he’s soooo important he deserves better,.finds out the grass wasn’t greener on the other side, regrets walking out on his marriage , misses his wife.

+whyu wannaknow This is one of 3 of my music tapes in my first car. You should know Bernie Taupin writes the words, Elton only writes the tunes. All Elton's songs (Except for Lion King/Broadway) have words written for him by Bernie Taupin.

My first serious boyfriend was killed in a car crash. After I heard the news on the phone, this song came on the radio. Every time I hear it, it takes me back to that day. Sad, but I remember the beauty of the relationship we had, and try not to question his death. Ciao!

I suddenly saw a meaning that I hadn't considered before in this song--one of my favorites. It's about drug use: "I'm gonna be high as a kite by then; Rocket Man, burning out his fuse up hear alone; I'm not the man they think I am at home, I'm a Rocket man." The rocket, the fuse--it's a joint. He's bored with his job. He smokes to get through his boring day, but he has to do it in secret. I found a website that says he was inspired by Ray Bradbury stories--but the song could reasonably be interpreted to be talking about drug use. Or not. Just another way to see it.

He saying he's a rocket man not a Spaceman because Rockets don't go to space I'm not the man they think I am at home, all this science I don't understand. research flat-earth. Quit trying to put it in the metaphor and actually listen to what it's saying!!! And go listen to the song Californication and hear what it's trying to say "space may be the final frontier but it's made in a Hollywood basement!!"

I wish people did care like you Elton John. Got promised help and support, than they refuse that help to me causing more harm to me, leaving me for dead. Always a free soul✌️ ☯️☀️life is preshis and beauitful without abuse. I hope to one day care for animals how they deserve, the abuse needs to stop or we are all rocket men and rocket girls going no where. Id acomplish good things more than just surviving abuse if life was respected and not restricted and threatened. So many things I could be without bad peoples abuse. So much more we all could be if we could just be and actually have fairness for when things natrually go pair shaped. World should not be pair shaped and no one should be suffering or causing suffering. If we could just be, people would not suffer. So hopefully we are oneday able to choose our own lives and not go down the sink whole that we all going down one way or another because of wrong. Thank you Elton John for this song, you desrcibe my sorrow well and in sadness I understand is better to have words to or feeling just stay sad, words help to see the end of suffering, came though sky and will one day exit through sky and not be a rocket man in next life. Mite come back as animal to seek vengence than move onto a lively respected planit as this earth is ugly, redicoulse, pointless. People kill each other, good people are killed, plants and animals die, everthing is dying🙁 and most lie amd dont want peace, so to infinity and beyond always. Would be better to be more than a rocket man, a man with life would be good 😍✌️☯️
