Fun fact: If you want to propose on the ride (like I did!) if you ask the cast members nicely they will slow the ride down for you.
I asked and they slowed it down right before the Kiss the Girl scene. I proposed and she said yes!
Since the cast members are monitoring you at all times for safety, they then announced over the speaker what I had just done to everyone, embarrassing but also awesome!
Shout out to those cast members for making a special moment extra magical for my fiancé and I!

anna and elsa aren’t official disney princesses though
“the disney princesses” is a brand, which is why there are standards as to who becomes an official one, because of merchandise licensing and other legal issues. the “frozen” brand became much more profitable on its own over the disney princess brand, so it has its own merchandise instead of having anna and elsa grouped in with the others. ever notice how the other princesses’ merch is always released as a group? that’s why.
this however does not explain merida, who is an official princess, but has three brothers.

Mr. Limpet was originally from Warner Bros
The reason Mr. Limpet is in the ride AND the movie (at the end of Under the Sea scene all the fish are looking at Ariel, you'll see Mr. Limpet around the right corner, literally the only fish with glasses xD) is a tribute to the actor Don Knotts who played in a few live action Disney movies in the 70s, as well as the turkey mayor from Chicken Little.
Also another hidden Mickey(s) is at the outer queue line at all the upper corners of the metal bars
Mad Hatter!!! Don Knotts is one of my favorite actors. Thank you for sharing.
Im pretty sure Ariel isnt the only Disney Princess with siblings.. Princess Leia has a brother Luke Skywalker, Elsa and Anna are sisters in Frozen and in Brave, Merida has 3 brothers.. And maybe Lilo doesnt count as a princess but she lives with her sister Nani.
Frozen isn't considered an official Disney Princess. Merida is a Pixar property and Princess Leia is the best!!

Thanks Chris! Wonderful video, this is my favorite ride to go to on a hot day! My favorite hidden Mickey from this ride can be seen as you’re passing scuttle. There is a small treasure chest down to the right next to the rock that he is sitting on. There are some keys on a Key ring that are resting on the box, the keys and the ring form a hidden Mickey. Another fact about this ride is when they were constructing it the would keep the music on loop so when my uncle was building it he heard all the songs over and over and over so now he hates the little mermaid songs.

When I was there last I had my little baby and she fell asleep on this ride and the cast members were so sweet- they let me keep circling a few times while she slept. 😊 it never got old- even after riding it multiple times in a row!

I love Provost Park Pass and Disney! This ride is not one of my favorites. I guess it is hard to replicate being in the ocean but as a dark ride I think I was not that great. I kind of miss the history of California that it replaced.

i now know how to tell the magic kingdom and disneyland versions of this ride apart (without counting the omission of the ursula's demise scene in disneyland's version): sebastian's eyes are projected in the disneyland version and in the magic kingdom version his eyes are physical, making him a creepy, unblinking crab
When the Ride is almost over, look to you left and on the wall you’ll see two silhouettes. One of Hans Christian Andersen, the Author of ‘The Little Mermaid’...and a silhouette of the little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen. I always look for that and smile.

I think the reason why Ariel has six sisters is because each one of Triton's daughters represents one of the seven seas.

There is a hidden Mickey on the octopus' head (spots) in the under the sea scene and also another in the kiss the girl scene (three lily pads) 🧜♀️

Ariel is not the only Disney Princess with siblings. Merida is an official Disney Princess, and she has 3 brothers. But Ariel is the only one with sisters... and only red-headed princesses get to have siblings? Wha??
Also fun fact: Ariel's Grotto was actually on what is now Pixar Pier. Not sure if it was originally in Disneyland, but whenever I went in to meet Ariel it was in California Adventure. I was SO sad to see it go 😔🙁

Renee Hoenicke Those are two different things, Triton's Grotto in Disneyland was a meet and greet replaced by Pixie Hollow and Ariel's Grotto in DCA was a restaurant replaced by the Lamplight Lounge

You can look up Tuacahn online... they usually have 3 shows per season (summer and early fall); I think the other show this year is Sound of Music

I know this is blasphemy ... but I think a lot of the Fantasyland rides would do better with an Omnimover refurbishment, then maybe instead of waiting with my kid in the hot sun for 45 minutes because Disney can't any sort of shade up to block the architecture of the facade they all will be more of a 10 minute max walk on ride.

Actually Merida is a Disney Princess who has siblings. She has 1 biological brother, and 2 step brothers. Also Elsa and Anna both Disney princesses are sisters.
One thing I never knew was the legs scene being originally CG-animated.
