Both a solid for their cost! I have playtest'd both and AMG def captured their feel from the comics. I feel both hit above their weight class and can't wait to get them on the table officially.
Really excited for Rogue, X-Men needed more survivability and more opposition movement, hopefully Colossus will really round them out with a sturdy protector who can throw big hits and big objects/people
Magik is gonna be a really good 3 threat movement piece being able to jump around the table and grab location I think she would be good with freedom force to take a couple of objectives
I love Rouge's art. So clasic cartoon style. (Nananana na. Nananana na na XD) Magik doesn't seem so injured on the injured side. :p Also, they're both bullying the Juggernot on their cards.
Excellent review. I wasn’t excited for Magik, but I think she would play well with Wakanda with her ability to move players for a Wakanda herb scenario
Bit confused on your last statement. You say Magik's tactics card doesn't have to be played during her turn but the image says "during Magik's activation"
Rogue is a really good new standard for 4-Threat characters. And Magik, what can I say? She's fantastic, and I love her, and I (too) am both thrilled and surprised we are seeing her so soon ('though I guess it makes sense with the recent wave of Mystics?).
Really happy that we are getting some new X-Men and ones that seem really good play wise as well. Kind of sad that I will be replacing some of the OG X-Men because of this though.
Super excited for these new X-Men as Gambit is probably my favorite character. I'm really hoping he has a superpower that allows for double activation like Corvus/Proxima and Sin/Crossbones especially since Rogue has his last name here. Magik was also a nice surprise. Most people I talked to assumed Colossus would either come by himself or with Kitty Pryde.
Big fan of Rogue. I want to put together a power-sapping list with her and Deadpool (and a few others). I'm not as keen on Magik, but that's at least partly because I'm not very familiar with the character. I'll have to see her in play before I can really make up my mind on her.
Love how AMG made Magik. While Rogue seems solid Magik is likely to see more playtime in my sets. That teleport is just lethal. As an aside, I do hope that AMG makes Apocalypse and the Horsemen by the end of the year.
I played vs rogue this afternoon and damn she's just annoying on the table: she's tough, she steals a lot of power, she throws terrain and she has a good projection (charge+storm team power). She mowed pretty easily sinister and zemo in the same turn without any bad luck on my side or in my opponents side.
The prospect of a range 10 teleport seems absolutely silly to me and I love it. Magik has some great value for 3 points while not feeling too op. Pretty nice balance and a decent sculpt too. Rogue seems fantastic as well. Now we in the US just have to wait until 2101 to finally get them on our shelves.
I see nightcrawler being a devs nightmare. That's probably why he isn't out yet. You can just advance him s and you can't just let him teleport from edge to edge. Tough mini to balance man.
Magik looks really good for 3 threat. Not a lot of abilities but she can slot in to a lot of teams and be really useful. I’m a tad disappointed in rogue’s mini. The face is pretty rough. For all the amazing sculpts AMG is putting out, this was a bit surprising.
She has so many options, and they are not expensive power costs. With charge, she esentially does get three actions and adding Sap Power to her builder means she can almost certainly spend for her throw or spender attack (with a 100% guaranteed throw). If you are running Xmen, gold or blue doesn't matter, Rogue will be an auto include. I have a sinking feeling she's going to be the new Valkyrie. The 4 threat is harder to fit in every single roster, but she's WAY above the typical power curve for a 4 threat.
"Rogue is a very straightforward character." Well, yeah but that's not the story. She's a tanky brawler who destroys the power of her opponents characters. And her spender attack only costs 3 power and is an AUTOMATIC throw of size 4(!). That's bonkers. Peter Parker (also threat 4) spends 3 just to throw a size 2 or less a short, without getting to precede it with a 7 dice attack. Between Cyclops's leadership power transfers (and his field commander power) and Storm's movement shenanigans, Rogue isn't just a "decent brawler." She's broken and is going to be a problem in the game. There's no reason she ALSO needs invulnerability. Rogue is a fan favorite, and her powers are representative of her comic and other media depictions. But she's like a 4.99 threat.

Can we dare to hope we have these amazing sculpts before the end of the year here in the US.?
Sadly not likely as going by AMG'S website they're slotted for 1st quarter of 2022.
Really excited for Rogue, X-Men needed more survivability and more opposition movement, hopefully Colossus will really round them out with a sturdy protector who can throw big hits and big objects/people
Closer and closer to my 90’s dreams with every release!
YAAAAASSSS
Both solid characters. Love Rogue and win buy this set as soon as I can.
Counting her tactics cards in they really hit her out of the park flavor wise
Agreed they suit the character a lot
Fingers are crossed for a Professor X release with a new leadership for the x men
We really want pro X with something like the ability to decide who activates on the enemy's team like the mind gem on Thanos :P
Could you make a series on the best non affiliated heroes and/or best tactic cards for each affiliation?
There is something similar in the queue, but with so many characters about to get adjustments I am waiting for those announcements.
So excited for both of these!
Great video man! Will you redo previous characters now that some of them are getting reworks (ie hulk)?
Really looking forward to ou thing both of these on the table…especially Rogue ;)
I've been waiting for Rogue! 90s me is so stoked.
Wasn't excited for Magik at first, but after seeing her card I want to get her on the board.
Rogue is gonna be amazing. Can't wait for this new mutant wave!
Can't wait to get Rogue on the board
Looking forward to adding both these to my xmen roster!
This is pleasing! Now of to see if Juggs and Colossus are coming out too
Can’t wait for their cards!!!
Magik is gonna be a really good 3 threat movement piece being able to jump around the table and grab location I think she would be good with freedom force to take a couple of objectives
That could be interesting
I’m looking forward to xpanding my X-men. Rouge and magik look nice, it will be nice to see gambit/colossus
Love the announced mutants and Juggernaut. I’ll be giving them a try ASAP.
I'm so happy. I was waiting for rogue :D
I never knew Magik existed, but I'm surprised so many mystic attack chars have be made recently.
Big fan of Rogue. The gloves are coming off!

Excited for gambit and rogue
Spoke too soon I’m really excited for magik now
Rogue is an absolute beatstick! Super excited for Magik, straight forward but versatile piece that I think will fit in anywhere and everywhere
Yeah great card with a great sculpt has me very excited.
rogue seems interesting, But magik is where i'm at. the sculpt is fantastic and the mix of energy and mystic is just awesome!
Seconded on the Magik sculpt - probably my favorite in MCP thus far
When I saw Rogue's powers I was thinking she might do well with Cyclops' leadership.
Yeah she’ll help round that out nicely.
love that Magik is in the game now :)
I never really knew much about Magik but she seeme pretty cool and Rogue will absolutely make me start running X-men
Bit confused on your last statement. You say Magik's tactics card doesn't have to be played during her turn but the image says "during Magik's activation"
Then I was wrong. Sorry
@@TheGamersGuild No worries, wasn't sure if I'd missed something or the card preview had changed :)
I'm just getting into this game but I've been a fan of the x- men blue team for decades. So I'm excited for rogue
I like both characters. I think AMG did a good job capturing the flavor and abilities of both Magik and Rogue. Solid.
I really hope rogue ends up with brotherhood. Her mum would love the help.
Plus, if she is in brotherhood, you can use both her tactics cards at once and really force the opponent to spend power or be neutered.
Rogue is a really good new standard for 4-Threat characters.
And Magik, what can I say?
She's fantastic, and I love her, and I (too) am both thrilled and surprised we are seeing her so soon ('though I guess it makes sense with the recent wave of Mystics?).
Rogue is my absolute favourite X-Men, super excited for her. Magik looks like she'll be a lot of fun to play
Rogue is bad ass I cannot wait to get her on the table. X-Men have needed a proper boost for a while and this set of releases may do it.
Really happy that we are getting some new X-Men and ones that seem really good play wise as well. Kind of sad that I will be replacing some of the OG X-Men because of this though.

Rouge seems really really good

As an aside, I do hope that AMG makes Apocalypse and the Horsemen by the end of the year.
I hope you mean by the end of next year because I have a feeling that not even this next X-wave will hit until December if we are lucky.
Rogue makes Uncanny X-men stock value triple; can't wait to see Gambit and Collusus's stat card.
Started watching the x-men cartoon recently on Disney+, thinking my first MCP team might be x-men with these new releases.
Really like Magik & think she’ll be used a lot
I played vs rogue this afternoon and damn she's just annoying on the table: she's tough, she steals a lot of power, she throws terrain and she has a good projection (charge+storm team power). She mowed pretty easily sinister and zemo in the same turn without any bad luck on my side or in my opponents side.
One more thing, she has absolutely no problem in power generation, sap on the builder is quite enough.
Good too hear about the power generation.
They both look really solid but I can’t wait to see Gambit and Colossus! Rogue looks like a near must take on a lot of X-men and brotherhood lists
Rogue, Colossus, and Juggernaut are the big ones from this X-Men wave for me, but Magik and Gambit aren't bad either. A good wave all around.
They seem cool. I like rogue and magik’s card i really like tho.
Rogue is going to be gold for X-men. Standing front and center moving those enemies off the secures
Love them
I see nightcrawler being a devs nightmare. That's probably why he isn't out yet. You can just advance him s and you can't just let him teleport from edge to edge. Tough mini to balance man.
Get stuff early?! Love these new X-Men!
Well they both seem awesome and finally maybe raising the x-men up to the more competitive teams. I cannot wait to get my hands on these guys 🥳
Wait, what video game?
Been waiting for Rogue, so happy her and Gambit are coming soon!
Midnight Suns! By the same guys that did the X-com games coming next March.
@@TheGamersGuild need to look into that. Love the X-Com games.

Rogue Crushes it on the table. It feels like she gets three actions! Paired with magneto she is top tier!
She has so many options, and they are not expensive power costs. The 4 threat is harder to fit in every single roster, but she's WAY above the typical power curve for a 4 threat.
I am really hoping she makes X-men, I think her and Domino would make a super solid core around Storms ld
There finally starting to make x men I'm excited about but it's not these two well I'm half excited for Rouge I guess
Although I'm very excited for these releases, it saddens me that it will probably be another year before we see Iceman, nightcrawler, or twobilee.
Magik should have her 0 cost powers reordered. Aside from that she looks promising.
Cant wait for gambits card
Rogue seems legit. Sad all models pushed back release dates
