I really hope they do a fifth doctor tardis as well because it’s a nice variant of a tardis and it’s my favourite tardis exterior, Anyways, great review!
Another great review Matt :D I was lucky enough to find one of these sets in the "Reclamations" bin in my local B&M, and another in a random B&M store I just happened to stop by on a car journey! You're absolutely right about the scalpers, though - an employee at the second B&M store I mentioned had actually removed the only set that was there from the shelves after it was put on the shop floor to stop any potential scalpers from getting at it! She gave it to me as as an aspiring collector, and I will be carefully and lovingly customising it as a 2nd Doctor TARDIS very soon. I have altered the first set I found to feature an opening telephone door (with a die cast 1/12th aka 5.5" scale black rotary telephone to go with it), given the telephone door a black border via a Sharpie (even though it shouldn't have one at all of course), and have removed the glued battery compartment via the careful application of a hacksaw and flat-head screwdriver(!) with the hope of adding lights and sounds (say a prayer for me?!). I've also re-painted the entire box to better match the lighter, cleaner and bluer look that it had in _The Time Monster_ , not to mention also delicately removing the cravat from my 3rd Doctor figure with a Swiss Army knife. Speaking of _The Time Monster_ , the TARDIS *does* indeed feature a black base with caster wheels in a couple of shots (specifically when it is inside the Master's TARDIS and vice-versa). However, these shots are so brief that I don't think have any standing, as the base is the same blue colour as the rest of the box in every other scene in the story. I expect the base was changed to the black one with caster wheels to better facilitate getting it in and out of the TARDIS set! Sorry for the long comment / rant, but many thanks again for another awesome review of a great Doctor Who set!
They need another 1st doctor TARDIS and it should contain 1st doctor Susan Ian Barbara And a diorama of totters lane with an opening gate This set could be about £50 to £70 They should of does this as a 50th anniversary set but I guess they can either do it for 60th anniversary or 100th but I'd rather wait 4 years than 44 years for it
On my TARDIS, something has happened to the spring for the door, meaning I can't have it completely open, and the button doesn't work, so I can't have it fully closed (unless I use a small pair of pliers to pull the handle gently). I'm guessing my little brother pressed the button at the same time as trying to close the door, so the spring has come out of place. But I'm affraid to open it up, because last time I did that I lost all of the springs!
I really hope that this is a sign of more TARDISes. I missed this one, but I don’t really mind - a Sixth, Fifth, War, or even Eight Doctor’s TARDIS would be immediately on my wish list.
Rhyan Bennett you haven’t missed this one! It gets full release on Monday technically. It’s not going to be hard to find. You haven’t missed anything at all. Just keep looking. The only problem is the scalpers that buy 4 or 5 sets making it a little harder for people to find!.... don’t give up..., you’ll find it! 😷❓
Cyberman Bill alas I only have one B&M anywhere near me, and they’ve said they won’t be getting any more in - that the last lot they sold of TARDISes was the only lot they’d get.
I'm very happy with this set, fortunately my B&M had two to choose between, so I could pick the best one. The tie thing is annoying, I'd wanted an open collared red jacket pertwee for so long and we got so close there, but sadly it wasn't to be.
I found my version of the 3rd Doctor’s Tardis tacky also. Once I’d removed the wash it was a fine, then weathered it up my self and it looked much better.
I did something similar, though I decided to repaint my version to better match the TARDIS from _The Time Monster_ up to _The Three Doctors_ . :D I believe that the lighter, brighter blue colour was also seen on a couple of other occasions in _Invasion of the Dinosaurs_ and _Planet of the Spiders_ .
Not sure how I feel about these sets, they are very cheap retools and re paints, wish we had the same standard like we used to, that first two waves in 2008/10, they were phenomenal.. I was going to pick up 70s set but there were paint issues on the doctor that were very shite
I literally can't get one in store. Its madness. They're all £80-120 buy it now on eBay. Can't reserve them at b&m either. If you have a job you will struggle to get this cause seems like you need to be there daily when their lorry arrives. Ridiculous.
Great review, still haven't been able to find this one in shops either, Fifth Doctors Tardis release would be awesome. Atleast we have the new Season 19 Blu Ray boxset to look forward to. ua-cam.com/video/XQEvPJC8AEI/v-deo.html
If they released the 5th Doctor's TARDIS, it'd be the most accurate classic box ever released (it would be 99% accurate to Time Flight). Package that with the Eleven Doctors set 5 and advertise it as being from Time Flight and BLAM, something that woould probably make Clayton Hickman go "hey, that's pretty accurate".
Great mini review! the intro music shall never get old
I really hope they do a fifth doctor tardis as well because it’s a nice variant of a tardis and it’s my favourite tardis exterior,
Anyways, great review!
Wouldn’t it be cooler with a first doctor tardis?

You can easly put black paper in the tardis to resemble the 3 doctors episode
It looks a little bit cheap, but I wouldn't mind if they released more of these Tardises from the other eras. Maybe a whole wave?
I would love that
Great review. I've really struggled to find this and have basically given up hope of getting it
The black base did appear in the time monster but only in one scene
I just realized, you now have a 3rd Doctor to hold that Time Detector from the Master/TARDIS set
They need another 1st doctor TARDIS and it should contain
1st doctor
Susan
Ian
Barbara
And a diorama of totters lane with an opening gate
This set could be about £50 to £70

Really wish I could find this set anywhere! Great review as always though ^^

Harry Robins you need to be careful when you open the base really slow not fast then it’ll just be fine.

I’ve been waited for a good review on this
Inferno 3rd Doctor variant without the cravat would be cool, not that I buy these anyway, still great products.
Believe it or not, I found this just today for 12.99 at my B&M!!!!! I'm so frickin happy!
I got this yesterday because yesterday was CHRISTMAS!!!!!
This is the closest we can get to a 13th dr tardis for now!
on ebay they're like 40 pounds and im really annoyed by that because it looks so good

Cool wow 🤩
The third doctor figure is an outrage, who thought that a white cravat would substitute for no cravat?
Amazing I luv it
Nut
Try 70 pounds!
