I've heard this song 20+ times, but sitting up late tonight doing some work, and I just found it incredibly different, incredibly refreshing - I just wanted to share that.
Elizabethtown is one of the most underrated movies ever. I really liked the chemistry between Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom, and it even had Paula Deen in it!! But the soundtracks for this movie are probably in my top five, that's for damn sure.
7 years later but I just now got around to watching it. First thing that immediately stood out to me is the near impeccable song choices. Quickly climbed up to one of my favorite romantic comedies for that alone.
when i meet a beautiful girl who loves mmj as much as i do, we're going to live in a warm farmhouse someplace with a yard and the old walls will bound with these dream-like tunes when the sun comes in through the windows. timeless young people in love that bleeds into everything.
Saw the Jacket live in Louisville last night.....enough to make a man melt. best live band on this planet right now. without a doubt. My advice to any fan or anyone, go see them before you die.
@@oletoswin7451 THEY PLAYED THIS IN CHICAGO AND MY HEARTS ABSOLUTELY MELTED!! Can you believe when I posted this comment 5 years ago, that was my 6th show? As of today, I've seen them 15 times including Denver nye run 17-18, red rocks 19, Chicago run and Railbird. I may have started becoming more obsessed than ever about the time I made this comment 5 years ago!!
Life's journey so beautifully articulated. The struggle is real, but this song makes it all a little sweeter. Reminder that we are on our own, yet still connected. I love this man & this band. Thank you MMJ.
"On and on and on I drive When will I know I've finally arrived So far I've gone, so far to go it never ends Always startin' over but somehow I always know where to begin" My life in a nutshell.
i might say this is the best album i own to date. and i have a feeling that there will never will a day which i am tired of any song from it. pretty damn decent movie too.
So glad I found this song on here because even though I bought this studio version on iTunes years ago, the Apple Music goblins decided to take it away from my music library and replace it with a not-as-great live version. Not sure how they can legally do that but I guess they can. 🤷🏻♂️
i love this band, sad to say i wish they played like this now instead of getting all "interesting", less is best, beautifull inspired god to make summer x
is it just me or is both the key and the chord progression and the melody incredibly similar to Hozier's "Cherry Wine"? (both songs are incredibly majestic, just wanted to point this out :) )
It's 2 AM, and I'm in heaven listening to one of the most Beautiful songs ever made.
Felt a grip on my chest, such emotions and nostalgia this song gives me. Time flies with no exceptions.
Dear god I’ve been looking for this song for years. So much emotion and heartfelt lyrics. It’s always struck a chord in me ❤️

100 percent. Its so frustrating that some of the tracks such as this arent unavailable on netflix
I’m from Grayson County, Ky. It’s the county next to Elizabethtown (Hardin County). It’s truly a great city and great hospitality.
Did you work on this film too? It was beautiful Americana.
You got that right. Such a beautiful celebration of life and love.

it's strange how whenever i see an underrated movie, they always feature at least one underrated artist in their soundtrack.
That's quite possibly the loveliest thing I have ever heard.
A song for those of us who don’t always figure things out easily. I f’in love it. ❤️

My favorite current MMJ song. It's amazing.
If only I could cry, this would be the song to make me weep! I love it so much.
It's like he tore my heart out
An element of perfection!

Love this so much.
Love all MMJ songs...but this one is THE best.
I was going to leave a comment saying exactly how awesome I think this song is but i dont know where to begin...
Oh how I adore this song.
One of the best songs ever.
Up and up and up I climb
When I came up I was so far behind
My head takes a lickin'
But my heart keeps on tickin
Just the same
Always startin' over but somehow
I always know where to begin
Round and round and round I ride
And just when I looked I hadn't even began
To feel the effect
A cool, dark fever
On the brain
That feelin' takin' over
Like a holy rollercoaster
To the grave
How can I await the day
The last the night I'm here to see
How do I await the mother lode
It's the art of feelin naked in your clothes
Again, again, again I tried
That's how I knew I would never be denied
That face in the mirror
Who could it be, it was my own
That cool, dark figure
That's when I knew I was alone
On and on and on I drive
When will I know I've finally arrived
So far I've gone, so far to go
It never ends
Always startin over but somehow I always know where to begin
Always startin over but somehow I always know where to begin
Always startin over but somehow I always know where to begin

Didn't realize they were in the movie too.
“We got stars, though.”
this sound was defintly inspired by Beck's 2002 album "Sea Change" and Beck got his idea from Floyds Dark Side of the Moon
