- This is it! Yuma’s jaw-dropping duel against Shark in the World Duel Carnival semifinals draws to a finish! Can Yuma rise above his razor-sharp rival, or will he be dragged down to the depths of defeat?
Yuma is starting to duel on his own, Astral only helps him once in a while.

Which made him more interesting to watch after you go past the beginning because you get to see him improve throughout the series

@@harveycoote6423 yea but then shark drake would of likely still have suck a hold on shark that he would likely die or have his soul roped from his body thus causing Yuma to have many more doubts in his mind and probs would of led to him losing vs vetrix (or however ya spell that mask guy's name)

Yuma depended on Gogogo golem in his stragety. That is the only time it has happened.
For anyone wondering why shark drake could still harm Yuma, I think it’s because the key only protects Yuma from the numbers he won from others and even though Yuma had shark drake on his field the number still technically belongs to shark so the key couldn’t protect him because Yuma never officially won shark drake.
That could be it.
I thought there were over 246 episodes on here.

What Vetrix doesn't know is a shark bites off the hand that feeds it.
At the end Vetrix lost it. In his own way. I love when dark villians have it's plan folied.

I like how Shark sacrificed himself to save Yuma, but Yuma didn’t need to take Shark’s monster to win. Couldn’t he have used Utopia Ray to defeat Shark? Chaos Number vs Chaos Number would have been epic.
He didnt do it so he could win. He did it so his friend was saved from the number. Through the course of the series has had countless moments that he puts his friends above himself. Even when it would cost him a duel or something else.
Yuma had Rivals Unite in his hand since the start of the duel and he was waiting for the right moment to use it.
The only costly mistake in this episode was
Shark using up all of Shark Drake's Veiss's Overlay Units after he
resurrected his own and how he used them to bring Yuma's Monsters
back from his Graveyard, causing them to be reduced
by the number of ATK it was sent to the Graveyard those few moves.
Just like a car, a plane, a boat, or a train, it needs fuel sources in
order for it to work properly, just like how an Xyz Monster needs Overlay Units
to help keep from being obliterated by an opponent's Xyz Monster, or a Number Card.
If Utopia evolved and transformed into Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray after
Shark used up all his Chaos Numbers's Overlay Units, this Duel would have another
one of the most epic, heartrending, self-sacrificing finishes in the history of Yu-Gi-Oh Duels,
with Yuma as the victor.

I don’t get why Number 32 affects Yuma, since he has the key isn’t he immune to the influence and effect of numbers?

Especially after showing that Number 96 was easily held back by the key and I'd say 96 was far stronger than 32.
It's probably because up until Shark's duel with Quattro, Shark Drake was just an ordinary number card. When Shark Drake became a chaos number, its energy may have been too much for someone to keep control of it. Yuma may have the Emperor's key, but its magic may not have been powerful enough to keep Shark Drake Veiss under control.
But later in the show Yuma gets Shark Drake back and it doesn’t affect him for the same reason the other numbers don’t

13:20 had Yuma just Summon Number 39 Utopia Ray then he would have won the duel and freed shark’s mind and soul from both the Number and Vetrix Control and yet he did what Vetrix had expected he’d do since Yuma is kind and that kindness can be easily predictable and manipulated.

like 100 Life Points or fewer, like the Duel against that possessed
Barian soldier with that Barian symbol on his forehead and how he went
to kingdom come on Yuma's Life Points with the Chaos Xyz Monster that
used the Doom's Air Raid attack to destroy Utopia, and the Chaos Blast Barrage
attack to deal damage to his Life Points after his friend Tori arrived to his
rescue after she tossed him his key containing Astral, and how he teamed up with him
to defeat the Barian threat before he had a chance to claim his Numbers. That always
tells you how reliable your friends really are in every situation you seem to get yourself
stuck into, even when life knocks you down, you find new ways to keep getting back up.

He had to take control of Shark Drake Vice before defeating Shark in order to bring his memories back to normal. If he didn't Shark would have stayed brainwashed.

Yuma should swap out half unbreak with mirror force. It would help him win a lot of duels much sooner.

Why didnt yuma use utopia or shark drake veiss to attack directly then throw the chaos number card on the floor or something he could have stayed in control long emough for one attack
Shark would still be possessed by Vetrix/Tron plus C32 would take control of Yuma since he did not acquire the number safely via Astral

Shark drake becomes an overlay unit itself when used to summon shark drake vice. Plus you need 3 monsters to make normal shark drake
