    To be honest, the best part of this video was the commercial break.
    Your whining is exhausting.

    Great comments thank you for all the specific details. After seeing everything you dealt with I am planning to return my flares today.

    As a mechanic. Way you install flares With the 3M sticky strips. Is you fasten the strip to the flare, But leave the Plastic film On the truck side of The adhesive strip. Just dog year one corner Of the film. Then you install the flare Without it sticking to the truck. Didn't want it in place Grab the dog year of the film And put out working your way around the flare. If you press the flare to the body to stick it and you're done

    Great video, I just bought a set of flares and had to paint the with ROST-OLEUM rugged black and they look better for my taste. As they came like the delivery person was dragging them 😂

    Love the videos. I’ve used what you’ve learned to build my 2022 Hemi Tradesman. So far I’ve installed the Thurmen 2 inch kit, the Carli high mount stabilizer and Cooper 295/79r18 tires on Method 18x9 wheels. Rides and drives great. Quick question, do the Bushwacker flares stick out far enough to keep mud off the side of the truck. I’m trying to decided between those and factory power wagon flares.

      Not at that size of the tire. Those flares are very low profile. Mainly just for looks. You’d need to crazy big ones that stick out like 3”+. Good luck with the truck 👍.

    How much of the u-channel did you use per wheel? Looks like they don't sell in 15' lengths anymore. Did you end up putting on any clear coat protector tape? Thanks!

    • @NickMango
      @NickMango  Рік тому

      You need to 15’ pieces. If they don’t sell the 15’ sections you might have an issue. I don’t know if 10’ will do two flares. I’ll try and look tomorrow and see what the length is. I didn’t put any tape either thanks 👍.

    Great video! Boy how the prices have gone up now though. I just ordered front flares for $362 and rear flares for $270 from American Truckers. Definitely not cheap for a few pieces of plastic that I hope aren't scratched up and actually fit our new 2023 Ram 2500.

      Hey Dan, if you click the link in the description it goes to Amazon and they’re still $400 over there. Maybe you bought different ones?

      @@NickMango Darn! I didn't buy those since it states: "These do not fit 2023 Ram 2500" I'm sure they probably haven't updated their fit-ment info or something.

      Even Bushwacker's website doesn't list a set of four for sale for a 2023 Ram 2500. Ugh!

      @@NickMango II put the Bushwacker OE flares on yesterday. They look great but the Husky mud flaps didn't match the contour at all. Have to send the flaps back. I'm looking at purchasing Gatorback mud flaps to see if they look good with the new OE flares.

    Did your flares have foam on the inside of them when you received them? Should that foam be removed? Is there anything other than the U channel gasket between the flare and the fender?

    • @NickMango
      @NickMango  2 роки тому

      No foam on mine. Probably just there to try and prevent scratching. I’d remove it. Nothing but the rubber gasket. Thanks

    Thanks for another great video. I have a 2021 2500 and grabbed a set of OEM fender flares off Marketplace from someone you upgraded to larger flares. Do you think there is an issue with the flares with scratching or rubbing the paint prior to putting on the rubber seal?

    • @NickMango
      @NickMango  2 роки тому +2

      Great question. I had them on for at least a week. I didn’t see a problem. It’s difficult for plastic to screw up the paint. BUT there’s a chance that dirt gets caught between the flare and the fender. Then you could possibly have an issue. Keep it clean and order that U channel as soon as you can. The one I used was like $35 with tax I think. Good luck with the truck 👍.

    • @bradshouseful

      Thanks for the information. I actually just installed my fender flares with a "C" channel rubber seal. One note for easy installation, if you have a flexible impact extension you can basically get every fastener off with the impact. For anyone interested if you buy Ram OEM fender flares the mud "mitts" (lol) will have to be cut and notched to fit the OEM fender flares as well. This is because the trademen models have a longer mud guard that runs up higher on the fender wells.

    I like the flares but won’t they catch dirt and salt under them just like the mud guards?

    • @NickMango
      @NickMango  2 роки тому

      You know, I did think of that. Only time will tell, but I believe since it’s higher up and has that rubber u channel on it, it might catch less. I’m going to remove them in a bit to do a ceramic coating. I’ll know more then. The cool thing is that come off super easy. The mud guards are actually very annoying to take off and on. Thanks 👍

    Thanks for the video and channel content! For those watching who own 22 Super Duty, you don’t need to remove the mud guards, I installed mine today and expected to remove them but. The flares fit…

    I’m wondering what else you got in store for your truck. Everything look good bro. Any interior upgrades?

    • @NickMango
      @NickMango  2 роки тому

      So I would call this stage 1. I have big plans for the bed area (stage 2). The interior I’m not sure about yet. I never really like to spend serious $$$$ on looks so it would have to be useful. I’m still thinking on that. Thanks 👍

    Nick great video and those flares look good for non OEM I like them and the u-channel seal you installed looks to be a nice fit and a hell of a lot easier to deal with so far I’m liking what your doing looks great 👍🏻 ironically on the OEM flares the first thing they tell you to do is remove stone guard trim pieces and I agree it looks fine without them.

    To each their own I’m not a fan of the mud guards or the wheels seems too high for that small of tires. bumpers and the rest seem to work again just not my style.
