At 1:39 is the part where I just feel so happy and my eyes get watery. I think it’s because of the fact that I am already on my path of playing piano by having lessons. Some pieces make me actually cry like Un Sospiro either because they are so beautiful or that I just can’t wait to play them. What appeals to me about this part is that it gets so intense and it kind of sounds like screaming from the higher octave and it just blends in so well. im 14 and after 8 years of piano i decided to learn this piece without my teacher, i started 4 months ago and atm im at this part of it 0:57 and all i can say is that its not that hard to learn it BUT the actually speed that you need to play this its crazy, and i am on a close speed of this one but still need some more and more practice, hope that i wont lose my motivation on this etude and that i will be focusing on it

I really hate it when people use flight of the bumblebee as a difficulty standard. And chopin etude op 10 no 4 isnt even close in resemblence to flight of the bumblebee. op 10 no 2 wouldve been a good comparison

Despite the sheer difficult of the piece, this performance was very musical and entertaining to listen to. It did not feel like a battle between man and instrument, which takes a lot of mastery to pull off. Well done!

Same here. I brought it up to my piano teacher within one of our first lessons together and she played it like it was nothing. The level of commitment and patience of those who can play this piece is off the charts and I have nothing but respect.
