Great video, haven't ventured into this one yet, but I have walked through the tunnel at yelverton, there are also remains of the platforms of yelverton station
Shillamill Tunnel, there's talk of extending the line to Tavistock via Beer (Bere) Alston as it used to be. The line then went on to Okehampton and Exeter. Part of the 'Withered Arm' which was never going to pay as most of the traffic was seasonal over a single track. The line to be honest should never have been built or at least built in this way but you know what parliament's like for having its palms greased and there was no way the Great Western was going to tolerate competition on its doorstep

Holes in the middle are drainage, the holes in the sides are refugeses where the gangers could shelter if a train was coming

i think the ates were open the because my dad does forestry and he has lorrys and tractors going through there when he is working
Yea the last time i had a walk up the gates were locked,there is talk about reopining the railway, but not know when or how.
Shame they closed it 😥
