Hello Dan and Bailey I love the crum story thank you for sharing I thought you forgot to tell the story, but you didn't lol please keep the videos rolling you and Bailey have a blessed trip and be safe on the road.
Dan, Drop a 2x4 across the back of the trailer and set the pallet of angle that was moving backwards on top of it. This makes any movement of material go forwards into your tarp protectors and tarp. You minimize the movement by a strap across the floor holding the tarp down, or if it’s up against other product, use a scrap pallet on its side to prevent damage. We have similar problems carrying pallets of small lumber on b-trains here in Canada and just lifting the back of the top pallet by that 2" cures the problem of vibrating backwards.
Dan Would one of your wide edge protectors laid over that back edge with a strap or two over it work better ? It would also hold the felt down and keep it from flapping much. Really enjoy your videos I have learned alot watching you. Thanks. Keep safe out there.
When angle iron slide out like that it’s called telescoping. It’s hard to always know where to start them loading but if I knew it was as long as it is I would have the guy first load the tail a foot forward off the tail. I always had a bulkhead in the front and a bulkhead on the back to keep things from sliding.
New subscriber here and I’ll just have to say great videos, very informative. Thank you for making these vids. I am learning a lot about flat deck trucking from your channel
Oh WoW .The interior shot of the sleeper and you talking was a great fun video...Thank you for "CRAMING" US ALL IN THE FRONT SEAT WITH BAILEY "???......LOL...
Love watching your videos. No matter where you are fuel is always a big headache. Here in the UK its always been more expensive. At the moment Diesel is now $8.80 a gallon & its still going up.
@@themayorofdipshittery3646 How quick its changing. I know prices vary across the UK at the moment. My home town last week was £1.42 a litre. Down in Cornwall at the moment & the local price where I'm staying is now £1.88 a litre today which converts to £8.46 a gallon. Admittedly its miles to the next fuel station but that's just a joke in USD that converts to $11.14
Can't tell you what year diesel fuel went from 30 to 40 cents a gallon and jumped to a $1.00, NY state went to $1.50, the company I was leased to added a fuel surcharge, until they got the freight rates high enough to keep us happy. pull toy here
Sleepin in rest areas. I guess it's OK when you have your own turlet. 😄Nothin pays good out of Florida. I don't know how many times I deadheaded out of Florida. I could have hauled cheap freight but for 50 years as an OTR/OO I always.....always strived to be part of the solutiion and not part of the problem and if I was still trucking I would do the same today. Unfortunately I'm now in an old folks home and you Tubers are about my only entertainment. Well every now and again I hide the keys to some old farts Huv-around and causes KAOSS🤔HEY Mr. I appreciate all the time and effort you put into this VLOG. It's super entertaining to me and I love your truck. Old Ringsby United colors. I love the way it sounds. if I had a recording of your truck driving cross country and up and down hills I could sleep like a baby. Blessings on you my friend and thanks again for all you do⭐⭐⭐⭐🇺🇸🐘
If you had moved the angle irons so the rows with 3 were on the outside, would the 2 inch strap had squeezed them enough to prevent them sliding out? Good idea with the 2x4s though.
I hear you about the fuel prices. I run for a small outfit out of Nebraska. Great to work for but every time I fuel I cringe for my boss. He’s feeling the pinch of these fuel prices. Wish we had tri packs on trucks so we wouldn’t have to idle when in the bunk.
It amazes me how crappy some of these place are to get in to to load. Something trucks probably do multiple times daily at that location. Stay safe out there.
Could not hear any hum, you were coming across just fine….Kinda nice just pull in make some Joe relax and enjoy your own area. Thanks for sharing…. Diesel in Southern CO jumped from $3.90 to $4.48 overnight….Take care be safe.
Someone has prolly already said this but if you take a 4" strap and just fold it back and forth on the top of the angles and let it get thicker towards the middle then strap it all down with a 2" strap it will pinch the looser middle stuff tight and keep it from shifting. Did I miss the Crum story or did you forget to tell it?
Lunch at Chez Dan and that parking lot sure needs a load of gravel .. I can remember taking two tarped loads to a company and both loads sat out in the weather for weeks .. noted .. Crum trucks give a wide berth ..
Hey Dan, when you loaded in Harrison you were only a few miles from my house. Not easy getting from 74 over to Harrison. Have a good day. Fuel in our area is 4.84 everywhere.....
Generator noise was no problem. Truckers might have to get lighter loads for better fuel mileage. 🚛 Got to keep rolling make money. Bills got to be paid. Mrs T🏆. SAFE TRAVELS Super T Dan 🚛💨💨💨
Nope, slow down with the same load, better mpg. Lighter load means less money! If it doesn't matter to you, you are waay overpaid. Best wishes from the far North.
1 US gallon is 3.54 litres . It’s smaller than a U.K. imperial gallon Average cost per litre £1.60 per litre with an exchange rate of $1.30 to the £ I think I make that equivalent of $7.36 per US gallon in U.K.
I had a guy that opened his door just in front of my tag trailer. I was working for a paving company driving an F700 dump truck with a tag trailer hauling a skidsteer. He worked with me that day and when I was pulling away he swung open his door. I didn't rip it off, but it smashed it to where it didn't shut. I had forgotten about it, been over 27 years ago. Thanks, it's still as funny today as it was then. There's even less common sense these days as there was then. I don't let what other people do bother me.
Say stay safe out there on the highway be strong I know how it is fuel prices got to keep going up but you got to you got to keep the wheels are turning the pay the bills I'm a flea donor to all right God bless you and stay strong out on the road safe Journeys
my 2 accidents in Queens upset me too, tramatized me so much, that even if my company routed me thru NYC to NJ, i went around, just to avoid the place. up to that point id never had an accident in my life. i didn't kill anyone, was just car damage, but still.
Sure it’s nearer $7,40 a gallon comparing to America as the American gallon is smaller than the imperial gallon . So it would be about £1.60 a litre x 3.54 x $1.30 to the £ exchange rate .
The U.K. equivalent based on the current exchange rate is about $7.40 per gallon in the U.K. . The US Gallon is smaller than imperial gallon in U.K. so for the accurate equivalent it’s £1.60 a litre average price x 3.54 litres to the US gallon x the exchange rate $1.30 To the £
I can barely hear your generator, Dan. You must have some good insulation there.
The generator noise was minimal. Keep up the great video's.

Way to stay positive about the fuel prices. Great story about Crum!
good crummy Crum story Dan ... hi Bailey
The generator is very quite dan, can hear you with no problem when it is running.
Dan Would one of your wide edge protectors laid over that back edge with a strap or two over it work better ? It would also hold the felt down and keep it from flapping much. Really enjoy your videos I have learned alot watching you. Thanks. Keep safe out there.
The side loading forklift is quite unique!
hey dan love the videos. always learning something or seeing some sights i would never otherwise see, stay safe.
Agreed 🚛🚛🗽🗽👌👌
Yep
Safe travels and God Bless
Always appreciating your videos Dan. Thanks, be safe and keep it up!
I drove a flat bed for 11 years and ran into the same thing, had to come up with ideas for some of my loads, it was fun!

We saw you today on I69 north of Indy that old Pete look damn good rolling southbound
I admire your diligence.
Dan I must have passed you yesterday as I drove west on I94 to south 69 to Indy.
Use your big corner protector got be innovative man.
Today's price on diesel at unmanned station is around 10.20 USD/gallon in Sweden, (26,70 KR/l.). The new price today is 28.00 KR/l, 10.70 USD/gallon.
Dan is the best.
Glad to see you and Bailey be safe out there love the bonus footage nice surprise brother
No problem hearing you in the condo.
Thanks for the video. Always enjoy your video's Bailey is such a good girl. Stay safe.
I could hear you fine with the generator on. Hardly makes any noise at all. Hope you and your family are safe and well. Best of luck...
use your rubber pad under the 2'' strap so it grips the angle irons
I wonder if the bars at the rear of the trailer were packed 3 and 4 or some slipped out while driving.
Thanks Dan for the video. Blessings
Well that was a crummy accident! 😁. Tell Teresa I said hi 👋
Hope your around for the truck show and the Mercer cook out
Great video thanks Dan
You are a blessing for all want you do so keep it up my friend 🙏
We can hear you with the generator running. Love the new apartment. 😎 wow! I don’t live far from that IN rest stop.
We can hear you just fine, can't hardly hear the gen set thanks for the video🤗😎🤗😎
Where’s the video? I get no stream tap to retry
Thanks again for another one. Safe travels out there to you and your copilot. Looking forward to the next.
Can hear you JUST FINE with/without generator…..ENJOY the views from the “living quarters “!!!🤓😎
Put a 2x4 under the back of pallet next time so the pallet is leaning forward then you don't have to worry about them sliding off the back.
Fuel prices slowed me down from 70 to 63-65 , makes a difference
I hauled steel like this a lot. Get big rubber/spongy pieces that will fit inside those grooves and that will hold it.
Oh WoW .The interior shot of the sleeper and you talking was a great fun video...Thank you for "CRAMING" US ALL IN THE FRONT SEAT WITH BAILEY "???......LOL...

Todays price in Scotland at the pump = $9.90 per gallon

I love your setup Dan and your videos Cheers Dan 🍻 from Bruce New Zealand 🇳🇿

Love some of your music choices, I have down loaded several. Keep it up!
I had an apartment smaller than your truck once. Thats a neat setup
As of January 1 the gas tax in Georgia went back up to its previous rate before the tax rate discount.

The generator is not causing any issue at all with me hearing you in your video while you made your coffee.
If you had moved the angle irons so the rows with 3 were on the outside, would the 2 inch strap had squeezed them enough to prevent them sliding out? Good idea with the 2x4s though.
Travel safe, Dan. Have a great day.
There's never a dull moment in trucking

Good video. 👍
Drive safely my friend. God bless you. 🙏
Dan your sound is great I could hear you good love your little pal Bailey stay safe out there sure love watching your videos
Regular gasoline here in Ottawa Canada just hit $8.00 Canadian a gallon or $2 a liter...its madness
Those angle irons slipping out is why it’s always good to carry rope, always handy to solve problems like that 👍

Can barely hear the generator man. Great video as always
NP with the gen however sounds like Bayley wanted here coffee and was tired of waiting lol
Could hardly hear the Jenny Dan. Nice setup you've got there, must be so handy having all your amenities on board.

Great video Dan/Bailey.
Another good video KEEP ON TRUCKIN 🚛 🇺🇸 👍
Light loads = better fuel mileage. 18 speed needs to run Dan, don't go 80 but don't dawdle.
Hi Bailey
Fuel is bad here in uk 10.52 dollars uk gallon and that’s cheap not motorway price
Here in the UK a gallon of diesel is currently in US dollars $8.96.
Just wondering why you don’t have half fenders, Would save water spray and road grime from blowing around ,Use them up here in Canada take care!
Fuel in New Zealand per ltr 2.34 dollars. Nz Gallon is 4.5ltrs you guy got it good... $10.53 or gallon..
Hmmm...A US gallon is about 3.78 liters
UK already running around $7.0 per US gallon. It doesn't help much being more economic than your truck. (around 7mpUS gall)
Why don't you run a Conestoga trailer
Cool video Dan 👍
Really can’t hear much of the generator while it’s running Dan 👍
Generator noise was no problem. Truckers might have to get lighter loads for better fuel mileage. 🚛 Got to keep rolling make money. Bills got to be paid. Mrs T🏆. SAFE TRAVELS Super T Dan 🚛💨💨💨

In central Alberta us common folks are paying 9.21 a gallon for diesel and 7.56 per gallon for regular gas 🤬

Dan can barely hear the generator
Cool video and story……
They don’t give you a fuel surcharge

Poor Teresa. But it's a nice story. let's hope the fuel prices don't get too high
There’s a garage in kent uk diesel is £2.06p per LITRE
Wow you kidding ?
Heard you fine with gen on.
my 2 accidents in Queens upset me too, tramatized me so much, that even if my company routed me thru NYC to NJ, i went around, just to avoid the place. up to that point id never had an accident in my life. i didn't kill anyone, was just car damage, but still.
generator is not a problem
your so lucky in the uk it works out to 9.97 per gallon its crippling the haulage industry.
Sure it’s nearer $7,40 a gallon comparing to America as the American gallon is smaller than the imperial gallon . So it would be about £1.60 a litre x 3.54 x $1.30 to the £ exchange rate .
Wow. Price off fuel got to be killing you guys. lol Bailey doesn’t care.
Stay Safe
$4.80 gallon, here in UK we are paying equivalent of $23 per gal. Don't complain.
Yeah that’s not true, 23 dollars per gallon? Not even close mate.
The U.K. equivalent based on the current exchange rate is about $7.40 per gallon in the U.K. . The US Gallon is smaller than imperial gallon in U.K. so for the accurate equivalent it’s £1.60 a litre average price x 3.54 litres to the US gallon x the exchange rate $1.30
To the £
I always wondered if you had a little coffeemaker in there. I like those little K-cup jobs.
