The shrinkage is real for me. I just cut it all off last night because it was coiled up like springs and I would find hairs with several splits and unexplainable damage with what feels like tied knots at the end of the individual strands of hair

I got a diy natural deep conditioning/beard dye you gotta try. Take some henna (you can decide color just use ammonia free all natural) mix it with thick coconut milk in can (add in a little water if it's too thick) coat your beard and comb thoroughly through with a widetooth comb and then work down size as possible. Stop trimming (only line up) and do this routine everytime you feel like trimming. Let it sit for an hour or before it become to dry. Rinse out and add in a graceful amount of beard oil then graceful amount of beardbutter, don't use any beardwash for a week. This coconut condensed milk allow the beard to stretch with minimum breakage and nourishes the beard.

Love my coarse curly beard. Like you said improves density and hides any sparse areas. My under beard curls up a lot too, and I do the same thing to my chin to keep it all solid my beard is pretty short these days maybe a 4 month length. 8 month stache

I would only say be as gentle as possible and only apply your products to a damp beard and try to moisturize your hands before you start. Hope this helped 👊🏾

I wouldn’t shave it off to star it all over it will eventually grow in enough to make that area less noticeable 👊🏾

Make sure your beard is damp and you use an oil let it sit a minute or 2 before you comb👊🏾
